Congrats
I have a 67 impale sedan, did you have to remove front or rear axle to install?
@@clearedhot6146 this disk conversion is for the front only,
Great work
Good video, learned alot. Did you use the original brake lines?
I made another video of me replacing all the car’s brake lines, and for the front tuber hose I got the one that corresponds to that caliper
You're doing a great job, I was motivated by your video and bought the CPP front brake conversion kit today. I'm going to try and put them on my 66 Impala this weekend.
@@coffeebean5975 it’s not that hard once u start putting it together
Cool 😎 thanks for sharing
U should go check pt2 for the install
@@cali530marcos3 thanks I will it's just like my car
Managed to get the upper area of the spindle off but the lower area won’t come off no matter what I do. Even with the hook tool you’re using..all it ended up doing was just tearing the ball joint rubber off. Any ideas what else I could try?
Just a big sludge hammer and maybe some heat
@@cali530marcos3 put the jack under the bolt and then started kungfu fighting it. Finally came off! Hammer helped for sure. Thanks!
On the disc swap, they failed to tell you that you might have to drill a new hole for the cotter pin. I saw but never to be seen again that there was a place that sold upgraded front spindles so that you wouldn't need to drill a new hole which isn't an easy task to do.
yea, its either too tight or too loose, luckily for me it was just right
Would you able to fit 13s? With the disc now in front?
GOOD VIDEO..SUBBED
Thanks, there’s a part 2 with the disk brakes on
Did you the work like tie rods up control what all did you do
I haven't touched the front suspension yet, but i plan on doing ball joints, tie rods, and new red energy suspension bushings like what i did to the rear
You could a took round retaining springs off
im not really too familiar with drum brakes, but i will learn more when i rebuild the rears
Is there a part 2?
Yes, I put the link in the description for part 2
@@cali530marcos3 Thanks bro.
What year is your Impala?
1966 Chevy impala
Will this work with 13 inch wire wheels
I’m not sure, I’m running 14 inch steelies at the moment
You want to sell the old brake shoes
No thanks, I like to keep everything that comes off the car just in case I wanna go back to stock
onta el part 2? pasa papa raza. lol
Hay le va
