Great teaching! I realize that I still have a lot more of the Bible to read and study. I no longer give the tithe but I give freely according to what God puts on my heart to give and I have been very blessed! More blessed than when I was only giving the 10% tithe. We limit ourselves when we only give the tenth, under the new covenant we should be giving even more than that and blessing not only the church but people who are in need all around us. I also believe that giving doesn’t have to be financial only. We can give clothes, cook meals for people, run errands for someone, etc. There are so many things you can do to help people that doesn’t involve money. The church puts too much emphasis on the money only. Some people do not not have stable income and may not be able to be faithful tithers and they are left feeling condemned and “cursed with a curse” because that message is so often preached in the church. Christ came to set us free! 🙏🏼

No body is confused about tithing, it's you that does not want to read the bible, my people are perished for lack of knowledge, Hosea 4 vs 6,
Go and read Galatians 3 vs 13 and 14, and interpret it to yourself, He is teaching that we should take bible teachings which is the word of God by the context they were spoken, it means we the Gentiles should not use the books of psalms and proverbs because they were not address to us .is that the teachings we should take seriously.

So sorry, you can give ( or not) how much you want, over 10 percent, under 10 percent, but with open heart , to anyone in need and not necessarily in a building named church. Go and give to a poor man or to someone who need money for treatment or for his child / children. Don't forget and buy some food even for a dog or a cat from the street. Then, you can sleep well because you helped someone.

Give as God prospered you (1 Corinthian 16:1-2). 1 Peter 5:2 we are told not to give by constraint. As a Christian you can give more than 10%. The Church is not under the law , it is under Grace…

Lol but he didn't say to do it either !! I stoped pay years ago because i couldn't pay them. it was starve and pay. I was tired so i said God if you gonna curse me then i guess i will be cursed cause im tired of not eating. Long story short the lord said why would i curse you for not having money to pay. I never seen anyone that was poor get blessed off of tithing. I started being blessed off of obeying the lord when he spoke to me to do something. I remember when the lord said give ten percent when you get to church. I said ok when i got out of church my car stoped in the middle of on coming traffic i scream Jesus because i could see cars flying around the corner. I heard the spirit say turn the key. I turned it my car few back out of traffic. My life was spared for obeying. Another time God said take 10 percent to your pastor cash. Don't get a money order they need it now. I took it to their house. I found out they needed Exactly what the lord told me to give. The lord said many give but didn't obey. He wants obedience. I give because i choose to give. When the lord speaks i obey. Been blessed ever sense i learned to obey him.

Malachi 3:8-10 tells us that we should pay tithes.
I heard of a man who usually pay his tithes. One day he went to the pastor and asked back for all his tithes. His pastor gave it back to him. Soon afterwards, all his sicknesses and problems that were taken from him, returned to him. I pay my tithes and l see so much blessings and favour in my life, and not just my life, but my family's.
Don't regret paying tithes. Think about it, when we go to church, we use the bathroom etc. The tithes help to pay the church's light and water bills. It helps to buy soap, toilet paper etc for the church. It helps to take care of the elderly, the poor and widows.
God loves a cheerful giver. Never stop paying your tithes.

Many Christians struggle with the issue of tithing. In some churches giving is over-emphasized. At the same time, many Christians refuse to submit to the biblical exhortations about making offerings to the Lord. Tithing/giving is intended to be a joy and a blessing. Sadly, that is sometimes not the case in the church today.
Tithing is an Old Testament concept. The tithe was a requirement of the Law in which the Israelites were to give 10 percent of the crops they grew and the livestock they raised to the tabernacle/temple (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). In fact, the Old Testament Law required multiple tithes-one for the Levites, one for the use of the temple and the feasts, and one for the poor of the land-which would have pushed the total to around 23.3 percent. Some understand the Old Testament tithe as a method of taxation to provide for the needs of the priests and Levites in the sacrificial system.
After the death of Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law, the New Testament nowhere commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system. The New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of income a person should set aside, but only says gifts should be “in keeping with income” (1 Corinthians 16:2). Some in the Christian church have taken the 10 percent figure from the Old Testament tithe and applied it as a “recommended minimum” for Christians in their giving.
The New Testament talks about the importance and benefits of giving. We are to give as we are able. Sometimes that means giving more than 10 percent; sometimes that may mean giving less. It all depends on the ability of the Christian and the needs of the body of Christ. Every Christian should diligently pray and seek God’s wisdom in the matter of participating in tithing and/or how much to give (James 1:5). Above all, all tithes and offerings should be given with pure motives and an attitude of worship to God and service to the body of Christ. “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7). It's all God's money anyway. He blessed you to have it and He can take it away. Why? Because God is sovereign. He is God!
Amen and well said, i had to do some serious study and research of this for my self back in 2014. THERE'S NO SUCH BLESSING IN PAYING TITHES TO ANY CHURCH OR ORGANIZATION. To many Christian people poor and broke because many of them don't understand this, Tithing is NOT necessary for us today or anyone. As the word of God says, my people suffer and are destroyed for the lack of knowledge.

I have stopped giving tithes a long time ago. After i stopped i find it strange that God was still blessing me. I noticed that the people who was paying tithes was often broke. Most time i have to help out with money for food and transportation to them. Minister you are so right. Keep doing what you are doing. God did not stop blessing me after i stopped tithing. I find i am blessed much more than ever.
I stopped tithing a couple of years ago, but God never stopped providing. Go figure.
But now, I have seen folks tithe for years -- and yet, I have not seen the blessings that they don't have room for! Wow.
The reality is God was being a good father. He was being fair and considerate being that he didn’t allow the Levites to have land or a trade outside of His service. Therefore, since they didn’t have land to grow food or a career to make a living off of, he made sure they were taken care of (by the other tribes who could). That’s amazing because they were in that situation because they were being obedient to Him. He is such a trustworthy God that they could trust He would take care of them. It reminds me of the saying of “God’s will, God’s bill”. Like he said in His Word, seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all of these others things will be added...He opens the doors to opportunities and is able to turn people’s heart towards you. It really boils down to obedience and trust, which is faith. There is even a greater principle here showing how God will take care of you when you trust and obey what He has told you. He is setting you up for success if you do it His way. He sees the bigger picture and has things in place to take care of you.

I can attest to this so much. I listened this msg twice it resonated so much. Everytime I have been blessed financially its when I give outside of my tithes and offering etc. Which just came out my salary. Even when i got a temp. Increase in salary it was bcuz i had committed to giving outside my tithes go figure.

I am so glad I found this teaching. I was just having this conversation with God. I cannot understand how fear is used to make people tithe, which is the opposite of who God is. There are just so many things that were not adding up for me to continue to give in a religious pharisee-type way. Since then the church has paid 2 months of my rent but I can stay in my home and continually check up on me there is nothing more giving then to do things like that. Minister Kevin. I’m listening in 2024. My question is coming from a place of wanting to understand. My question is. There’s a lot of promises God made to the Israelites that we claim today as Christians. So even if the tithing requirements were for the levites, what makes it any different that we can’t follow it? Please I hope you see this or any one who can help me understand. I’m a true believer in tithing and a giver to people in need. I’m blessed beyond measures but I want to make sure the tithing part I get it right.

Brother Kevin...blessings and peace unto you. The Word of God is truth. The tithe is not a law. The question is why didn't the Lord make it a law? The principle of the tithe are before Abram gave tithe unto Melchizedek. Again, tithing is not a law, it is a principle, a fundamental truth.
In Genesis 4 we know the story of Cain and Able. Genesis 4:3 states that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground, Genesis 4:4 states that Able brought the firstlings of his flock and the fat thereof. They both brought an offering but what did God RESPECT Able's offering and had NO RESPECT for Cain's offering? The principle of the tithe, giving God what belongs to him first.
Noah the first thing he did when they departed the ark was to give an offering unto the Lord. The law of sacrifices was not in place. This is beautiful. In Genesis 8:20-21 "and Noah built an altar unto the Lord, and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and said in this heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done." This is not the tithe but the principle of honouring the Lord first.
The tithe belongs to the Lord. So in Genesis 14 when Abram gives (not pays) tithe unto Melchizedek he gives from the mindset of the Principle of the Tithe not the law of the tithe. Melchizedek the high priest of God blessed Abram with bread and wine, then Abram gave a tithe. Melchizedek represents God or Godhead no begging no end, no mother or father. Abram represents Nations
Lets look a little closer...
Genesis 14:18 Melchizedek king of Salem(Godhead God,Word, Spirit/(perfect peace), brought forth bread and wine (Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son) and he (Melchizedek) was the priest of most high God. And he (Melchizedek) blessed him (Abram) and said Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: and blessed be the most high God,which hath delivered thine enemies into they hand. And he (Abram) gave hime tithes of all.
This is a voluntary act of thanksgiving unto the Lord Most High who possesses Heaven and Earth for his goodness, His protections, deliverance, etc.
On down Genesis 14:22 Abram tells the King of Sodom which represents the fleshly desires of the system of the world. Abram tells the King of Sodom I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord the most high God the possessor of heaven and earth. In other words I am committed to God all that I need or desire he owns it all both in heaven and earth. I need nothing from this world. Abram understood that it is the Lord who maketh rich, who provides, etc. so Abram goes on to tell the King of Sodom I will not take even a shoestring lest you say or get the credit for my richness, riches, or success. Abram understood it is the Lord's doing and belongs. Because he was free to give in his heart with the riches God gave unto him it is was easier to trust God when he gave instructions to take Issac up to worship. Abram faith in God as a supplier, possessor of all things, a deliver was established through the principle of tithing. All things belong to the Lord.
So in Genesis 28 when Jacob vowed to tithe he understood the Principle of the tithe so he could make that commitment. It purposed to give the tithe in his heart, and he gave it voluntarily. Just like his grandfather gave it voluntarily. God is not a forceful God. He is a God of principles and laws.
So when Moses began getting instructions and directions concerning the laws. In Leviticus 27:30 and all the Tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, it's the LORD'S: it is holy unto the Lord. This is why the Lord had respect unto Abel's firstling offering he brought him the tithe which is holy unto the Lord. Able gave God his honor first, he rendered unto God what is his. Matthew 22:21says render unto Ceasar the things that are Ceasar, and to God the things that are God. Cain just brought an offering that was not what was Gods, God had NO RESPECT for his offering.
God established the principle of tithing first, the people were already giving and bring. God established the Law with the Levitical priesthood because he knew HE is the High Priest. The Levites were for the purpose of establishing a priestly order here on earth. A priestly order was established in heaven (Melechideke was the high priest of GOD who is in heaven) so the Levitical priestly order was established on earth.
New Testament ( Principle of the tithing)
Luke 17:11-19 the parable of the 10 lepers being cleansed. Jesus cleansed 10 leapers and he (Jesus) tells them to go and show themselves to the priests. One one of them was a Samaritan turned around and fell at the feet of Jesus, glorifying God. Jesus said where were the other 9. The one was made whole, other 9 where cleansed.
Let's look a little closer.
Jesus is the High Priest according to Hebrews 4:14 seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
There were 10 lepers. The tenth from 10 is 1. The one represents the tithe that's due unto God. which made in whole lacking nothing. The other 9 were cleansed but not made whole, that's what happens in many cases we forget to give God what is his the tithe and we are never made whole. We received a blessing, a healing, etc. we think the priest are men, when the high priest is Jesus. Don't miss the revelation, we bring tithings unto God, not unto man. Tell God thank you for all that he has done. Bring your tithe unto the Lord, give as he as purposed in your hearts to give. Renew your mind...voluntarily bring your tithes unto the storehouse of God, not man.
Now that we have established God is our High Priest in Hebrews 4:14, He goes on in Hebrew 7 and tells us to tithe after the order of Melchizedek (King of Righteousness, King of Peace). Moses did not know talk about this new priestly order. So that law of paying tithes under the Levitical priesthood is over; however, out of Judah arose another priest similar to Melchizedek... I'm in Hebrews 7:14-16. This new Priest, King Jesus is not after the law of carnal commandment but after the power of an endless life. For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek ....meaning MELCHIZEDEK is BEFORE AND AFTER THE LAW. HE IS an UNCHANGEABLE PRIESTHOOD...HOLY, HARMLESS, UNDEFILED, SEPARATE FROM SINNERS.
vs 27 Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this, he did once, when he offered up himself. (in other words, Jesus sacrifice everlasting, there is no needed #FINALANDFINSHED
Jesus is Our High Priest (Hebrew 4)
Jesus is our final Offering and Sacrifice for sin ( Hebrews 10, Eph 5), Jesus is not the tithe.
Jesus is the first fruit of the resurrection ( 1Corinthians 15:20)
Jesus is the Fulfillment of the Law... Jesus did not abolish or do away with the law or the prophets (Matthew 5:17-20
So, why didn't God make the tithe law?
Because he wanted mankind to give freely, voluntarily unto God, as he has purposed in his heart. Giving after the order of Melchizedek if a freewill tithe or offering of faith and thanksgiving. It takes faith to obey God, and one must love God to live a life of faith.
Tithing is a Principle a fundamental truth. Just like breathing is not a law, it a fundamental truth. Take a fish out of water it is a fundamental truth it will die.
God will not make us do what is right. Again, I agree tithing is not law it is a voluntary act unto God.
Let us pray for those in leadership and authority, the teachers, the body of Christ we are many members one body. We are not the judge nor jury. We are our brother's keepers. Helping one another in Love.
Brother Kevin I pray for wholeness and healing from past church hurts, and disappointments. I thank God those times brought forth ministry. I speak the words of Joseph unto you. Joseph said unto his brothers who sold him into slavery Genesis 45:5 now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. Kevin be not grieved nor angry about all the old church stuff, God allowed you to experience and see to preserve life. Through you, God has delivered many people. Remain watchful the enemy is cunny and will try to steal God glory by mudding the waters through hurt and offenses. Remember offenses will come, people will talk, take not thought, make no mention, give not place to the devil, satan. Blessings unto you may brother and continue with this good fight of faith.

I was deceived without knowing and also helping them to spread this lie to others thinking I was doing the will of God and helping people to find the truth, I have ask God for forgiveness for my actions through my ignorance of his words, finding out the truth really broke my heart I feel betrayed and fool in to a lie but on the other hand am happy I know the truth now .I always watch minister Kevin video but I never watch this one even though my spirit was urging me to but I delayed it an now I understand why my spirit was telling me to watch this particular video. I have make a decision to leave this church because I don't know what other truth they had twisted. I know this will break the heart of my family and friends that I make this decision knowing how i left behind this world and start following God when I start attending that church but that chapter of my life has ended with that church, I will just focus on my relationship with God continue to watch minister Kevin videos and hope one day God may lead me to a church that doesn't twist his words.
This was very interesting. I've been tithing for over 30 yrs. I must say that I've been blessed; no financial overflow, but God has blessed me.

Giving to our fellowships is mainly giving to our pastors and toward their ministries and building utilities. Nothing wrong with that, but that is what it is. This is not giving to God! Many folks need to study their bibles again -- and rightly divide this time!

Clifton Henderson well we no longer have priest anymore . Jesus is the final priest in the order of Melchizedek. Romans 7:17 . Pastors are not priest. I allow the spirit of God to lead me on where to place my givings . Which exceeds the 10% according to Acts 10.4-5 . Well as long as God accepts my offering am pleased .
Minister Kevin I love all your teaching but what about those who tithe and see the blessing. I never use to pay tithe please note I am a giver and I could of never see my way as soon as I started to tithe an overflow happen every month. I listen to a sermon by Apostle Joshua Selman on tithing and it truly bless my life. I honestly think what you are sayin that tithing is not a law and we should not be forced life how some churches do.
You saw an "increase" because your heart was right in giving. That just happened to be how it played out. The increase had nothing to do with you giving 10% of your income, and everything to do with your heart.
Don't be fooled: Just because you saw an increase after beginning to tithe does not mean that it's because you was giving up 10%.
It's a trick from the enemy to make tithing look legit to keep you bound so that you won't know the truth. He makes you to now think that this 10% must be of God because you "got blessed", when really you're bound to the law mentality that I must do this in order to receive blessings from God. We're being tricked like Eve. In reality, the "blessings" are already yours because of Christ in you.
Besides, there are more tithers who do not see that "overflow" than there are tithers who do.
It's funny because -- if you know the Bible, it says that Christ has already given us everything that pertains to life AND godliness. But, for some reason, folks think we have to obtain it. That's how you know we're wrong about tithing. Its a trick to make us think that we're being blessed or going to be blessed when in fact we already are blessed. So, don't be fooled.
