This demo is really fun. I hope we’re getting the full game or at least more alpha/beta content soon…
after watching the video i went and tried the game out, the demo ends right after the 2nd area!
it was fun, i only did on game but a really strong strategy is to get 2 bears and nuke the level 3 iron tower as many times as you can. also cow is the most disgustingly op thing ever if you play it right and have 2 adiacent milk towers

is it anywhere near as fun as Auto Chess? I miss Auto Chess. One of the few games I was exceptionally good at. I cracked the top 250 global list before I had personal life pull me away from the game. I should probably download it and fire up my old account, see what builds are strong these days.
Beat the demo just a bit ago. Used chest/thief for money, setup milk and two cats for early gains, then left the right side open until I got dice blocks and a princess. Got lucky after the first boss to get a duck but after it was set I just rerolled to boost my three dice blocks while the princess leveled two of them and occasionally upgraded my other towers. Even without the duck I think I'd have done alright.
The most op combo in this game so far are obsidian tower plus guardian tower combo.3 lines of guardian towers and 2 obsidian towers means you beat boss 2 with ease.
Second best combo Butler, princess, flower in order from the royal tower. Put butler next to royal tower and enjoy the easy win. If you save up over 20 gold and reroll for him you have a higher chance to get him. Just make sure you always have 10 gold. This combo works well with the other combos.
Cat and milk. Three rows of cats in very front with a milk just to level 3 behind them. The cats get strong after a while. Can work decent with level 2 milk and just 2 cats if you level up the cats higher early game.
Princess plus dragon egg farm. Use her to raise dragon eggs quickly. Then build a massive dragon on the side you don't keep the eggs on. It will level up fast and wipe out hordes. Not the best boss killer though. Works well as a combo with cats and milk.
Best early game tower is the snake tower. It makes early game a cake walk while you build up what you are working on. Not worth building byond level 2 and is useless late game. It's a nice combo with the dragon.
The unsung hero is the Hydra. If you have decent economy put it in the very front and keep buying him. He can get very strong pretty fast. You need to earn 10 gold a turn to make it viable.
Have fun with this great little demo!
I'm enjoying the demo so far but it feels like some towers are absolutely necessary to scale enough
it's not that particular towers are important, but you need a combo, synergy between what you build
Aw man, the cat build was promising! Maybe they should add some form of weight to towers you already have? So the build comes into form quicker?
Honestly the asynchronous aspect of those games is actually a huge boon, as it allows for strategies and metas to develop, and for difficulty to auto-course correct, and avoid needing AI and/or predefined loadouts/procedural generation that could potentially be gamed/cheesed, etc..
Can I call it «Tower Defense»? :D
For winning, you need to know about all towers and their synergies. So you can't just buy good towers, you need The Plan.
I really want at least one swap and deletion tokens during start, because it's too easy to make an error.
Bears and iorn towers and a slime tower is how I beat the demo(slime deletes a tower and takes its atk and hp making the bears also take the atk and hp)

I hope we get more episodes of this since it has a lot of potential for a demo

Defeated second Boss twice, both times with milk+cats and guardian & glass towers. first time got +5 hp to animal towers every turn from first boss, it was brocken.

In the demo I managed to scale and win with Obsidian Tower and I forget what else. Guards are alright but only get you so far. Wanted to try Slime plus Bear but didn't get it. (Destroy a tower and gain the stats permanently in two places)
Some of your assumptions were pretty off. I actually found nullification to not be very useful due to the amount of towers in the pool.

Not how Obsidian tower works. Obsidian tower just turns any temp bonuses to it into permanent.
