S:P to 2 is most likely for 3v3 rule. 1 person won't have S:P in their ED.
Summon sorceress also had the additional effect where the card summoned to the opponents board now also has its effects negated.
That part doesn’t matter for the FTKs.
Only matter if your want to do any kind of lock, and effect negation is permenant, not until end turn. Give your opponent gimmicks puppet nightmare, Ra Diciple or Iblee will not lock them but give your opponent free body for XYZ, link and synchro summon.

@@vitortakara7090 even it didn't work it doesn't matter due to permanent negation of summon sorceress effects. Konami have take consider of all pottential other lock that why konami slap that permenant negation to the card, prevents scummy lock.
@@xenonimI don't know every floodgate monster, but I thought conditions can't be negated and most of the locks are conditions? Puppet is an activated effect that just last for the turn though. I've had to deal with it a few times.
At any rate I'm not too worried about it. Most people don't even play puppet lock in Branded and this just seems like a bad Sanctifire now. She might be okay in some decks if Curious ever gets banned though, unless I'm missing something she basically just cheats a monster out of the deck and turns off imperm/evenly matched.
This is just weird that S.P is getting Semi-limited when people only run 1 copy to begin with.
That's because Konami OCG is making the Semi Limit as a way to warn OCG Players that the card is on their watch list and, if they keep with the abuse by the next Banlist, the limit or ban is guaranteed

I think the MD bann list will not drop this week but next week on the 1st (unless they want to skip that date to prevent people from taking it as a joke)
The bann list afterwards should be announced on 29th april.
Summon Sorceress is a really broken card because it serves two purpose:
1. It is a hand fixer. The old text says that you can special from Deck with same type as the monster it points to, not necessarily your opponent’s. If you have three body on field, this card can facilitate any kind of combo you want.
2. It summons from the Deck. That alone is bad enough. You can summon lots of degenerate cards: Krysta, Fossil Dyna, etc…
In a sense, this card is a stronger Crystron Niddlefiber. You pay for what you get: Halq can only get you a Tuner with 2 monsters (including a Tuner), but theoretically this card can get you anything at the cost of one more monster.
Summon Sorceress is just better Halq. The fact that Konami printed this card with even less justification then they had for Halq shows they are really giving less of a damn with card design. They have made mistakes in the past but this last year was significantly worst
It's just a matter of time to see how people will play around the negate & type lock, fiend still has targets to lock you out go example (D/D Vice requiem or Archfiend Emperor)
It’s obvious that diabellestar will be part of many “sinful spoils” archetypes like fallen of albaz. So I think it’s pretty lame they’re banning wanted before those decks have a chance to shine

@@UncleForHire there is no world where Cyber Stein is a good card. Even without tear, it has the ability to immediately pump out Exterio. If it wasn't tear, some other deck would abuse it. I'm happy it's gone, hopefully for good
Wanted is just broken. If pot of greed is insane and is a draw 2 imagine a draw 1 + search and draw an engine + recycle a spell back in the deck. Cost? What cost?
@@harrya9458 well cyber stein was bad example but my point still stands, tear caused a lot of collateral damage and to not ban the new tear cards they restrict or ban older cards that rogue decks need and the new deck happens to abuse. Every time.
@@player-gm4py but that’s just modern yugioh. Stupid broken cards that are way too generic or splashable. They knew what they made so why take it away before we got time to use it on all the associated archetypes?

I use Illegal Knight more than Gryphon Rider funny enough. That bounce 2 is just so ridiculous for going second, and if you bounce it back with Dracoback you can do it again on the opponent's turn, often shutting down their plays entirely.
But having that negate is still really helpful for Turn 1, so having Gryphon banned does kinda suck.

With that three card hits on Snake-Eyes Diabellstar, Fire King is now the Top 1 in the Meta even if it got one card hit in this recent banlist this coming April 1, 2024. SP: Little Knight to 2 doesn't make sense since most decks only uses her to two but still her effect is strong.
Fire king snake eyes is already better ver of the deck compared to pure snake eyes build though. So it doesn't even change the meta that much.
Honestly, the regular card game should implement Duel Links ban list system to the ED only. That would help keep generic toolbox EDs in check
There should be a rule in master duel. If you are talented enough to win with snake eyes, you must do it without any prompts from the game. I can respect someone with memorization skills, not someone that slaps A
ofc pure fire kings would catch a stray with kirin... praying TCG doesn't follow up on this one...

Snake-Eye list, so Snake-Eye Ash does not mean Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring in that context, but bots might think only about the most popular Ash card because they miss the context.
Maxx „C“ is the biggest pain card together with some toxic floodgates that prevent play and should be banned generally, that should not require communication to know that Maxx C is disgusting insect suitable only inside the shadow realm.
TL;DR for bots:
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring 3 (no change)
Snake-Eye Ash 2
Maxx Pain „C“ to 0 - banned face-down to the Shadow Realm
But if that would not be enough, a banlist after that, so after gathering information of how that changed stuff, maybe Ash to 1 if it still overperforms too much. That I choose 2 for all main cards for Snake-Eye except Oak, was, I think it could work to balance, and all to 2 would be a nice number and easy. Bonfire 1 like Reinforcement of the Army, so easy analogies not much to remember. Can’t explain my real intentions better in English sadly.
And OSS could also be a target to be hit more, e.g. at 1.
A harsher version by a lot:
Bonfire 1 in all cases anyways
Snake-Eye Ash 1
Original 1
Poplar 2
But in that case I have no idea how to treat rest of Diabellstar Engine, on top of that harsh version Wanted at 1, deck could be partially ruined, maybe, so I would prefer less harsh approach and see how that‘s going, then harsher bit by bit till desired state.
Besides the strength of Snake-Eye deck and or the Diabellstar Engine, I think the deck is well designed overall, gut durchdacht in allen Belangen (well thought out in all respects), but yes, compared to other decks currently way too strong, so besides design, balancing not so well. Balancing is important. Instead of all new stuff all the time, making old stuff better would be nice.
And Stun should be banned.

Yeah Wanted to 1 is a bit too much IMO, I think Bonfire limiting to 1 is far more important, as is limiting Original Sinful Spoil. I think Ash shouldn't be hit too hard if you're gonna hit other stuff as well, as that really hurts the playability of the deck.
I think it's more important for Konami to improve the other archetypes, rather than just nerf the Tier 0 to the ground. It does need some balancing, but we also need buffing for other decks to make the playing environment more varied.
But if they want to fix how toxic the game is, that's way too late lol.

You are insane limiting ash let alone limiting it without banning Maxx C. Legit ban maxx c and ash usage rate would fall off a cliff
@@FrostReave Dude... he's talking about Snake Eye Ash, not Ash Blossom. We're talking about hitting Snake Eyes deck. Nobody is insane enough to limit Ash Blossom when the game is like this. Even without Maxx C, Ash is still gonna be needed just to make going second even remotely playable.
@@kauanjos3199 Lol let's not go crazy here. With any limiting to Ash Blossom, the game will devolve even more into a "flip a coin and if you call it right, you win" scenario.
Another change to Summon Sorceress is that before it had 2 SEPARATE effects; the errata combined them into one.
Before, you could activate the summon from deck effect even if it pointed to a monster owned by your opponent, without having to summon from hand first.
With the errata you HAVE to summon from hand first to then summon from the deck, which can be blocked by your opponent by simply summoning monsters on zones 2 and 4 (above EMZs), making it impossible to summon from the hand and therefore blocking the effect entirely.

I’m seeing a lot of people say only 1 is run, but if they did just Limit 1 it fewer people would be laughing about the hit.

In the OCG, since they are only allowed to have 1 Copy of Prosperity, people abuse Extravagance instead. Which is abused by decks that do not rely on Extra Deck or use it only when needed. A great example is voiceless voice. Plus, SP Little Knight comes in more than 2 rarities in the OCG, so it is very easy and affordable to access 3 copies. Having 3 copies still gives you a chance to use 2 or 1 later in case you accidentally banish 2 via Extravagance.
@@BGLoscar It’s the first way that the semi did anything noted. The card is individually powerful enough to be put at one. If Extrav wasn’t nice enough remember Pot of Neg 9.

IIRC, in OCG people likes to use it as a Rank 7 toolbox to spam Galaxy Tomahawk full negate board. And it became worse when Kashtira at full power.

All diabellstar does is search. The bigger problem card is wanted. Snake eye ash is easily beat with a imperm, veiler, or ash.

@@marquesvonhinten8786 Oh. Well for one Dragoon is just a stronger card. A negate and protection effect is way stronger then a target destroy and reborn effect. Not to mention DPE has very common weaknesses in Called by the Grave and Bystials while Dragoon does not

For Tear & Floo? As mentioned Tear are copium lists at this point, which are interesting to be fair (Needle bug is just a gambling card), while Floo dies with a single Ash (92% use btw), & Pots + Map, hand fixing cards, are at 1

@@Jyxero I honestly think Lovely is fine but Lady is not. The ability to search ANY trap is innately problematic. It faces the Halq problem of “do we ban all search targets or the searcher itself” which the answer is always the searcher just look at how they spent half a year of banning every good tuner and still failing to make Halq a balanced card.
@@Jyxero Tear qualified with 2 known decks in the DC cup now. Those "copium" lists are surprisingly efficient for, supposedly, being meme decks.
