I put 5 cans of Seafoam in the Diesel Tank of my Superfuty Ford, 7.3 L Powerstroke. Was it worth it?

The only thing a 7.3 needs and loves is trans fluid in the diesel. Truck fleet i worked for did this for years and he still has 30yo trucks

Im 31 I've had literally every truck and I'm convinced that ford made the greatest truck ever with this generation and im a cummins guy ive got an 02 7.3 myself and i wouldn't sell it for anything and i love it stock with modest upgrades

I bought this truck when it was just a few years old on ebay, it was a recovered stolen truck. I sorted out many issues and replaced items that were stolen off it like the trailer brake controller. Once fixed up, it's been 100% solid. I have tried to give it the best of care all its life and to keep it in retirement. Now that I am retired, I have a great truck that continues to impress me. FYI... I paid $7500.00 for it way back in the day and have turned down $20k for it.

My son recently put Seafoam in his bass boat with a 150 hp Mercury. It worked out great.

Instead of putting 2oz of seafoam in a full 40gal tank, use about 3oz per gallon for about 5 gallons, then when you are about on E, fill about 10 gallons at 20oz seafoam, and then you are fine. You don't need 80oz of seafoam.

Just went out and bought a 7.3 of my own! Looks like the results with it in the fuel were fantastic. I’m wondering if you have ever put any sea foam in the crankcase? I’m a little hesitant to add it to the trucks oil, although the cab says you can… any thoughts?

I am more of a change the oil more often to clean a dirty crankcase. I would if I were to purchase a high mile rig with dirty oil... I have kept the oil changed often in this rig and it takes alot of miles to get dirty.

Try Archoil, my 2001 F250 7.3 runs smoother and quieter with every tank.

I have a 2003 F250 7.3L with 328K miles on it. I use Archoil at every oil change. It is amazingly quiet for that many miles and still has plenty of power to roll eyes. I will never sell that truck. No DPF, No Cat, nothing but pure Diesel. I've had that truck for 20 years. Purrs like a dream. Revs like a TIger.

I use ArchOil in my 2001, F250 Crew, 7.3 with 540,000. This truck will last longer than the old man driving it.

Both my trucks and campers share a car port. Yep, she is a keeper!
      Thanks for the comment.
