    My 0-60 in stock setting is 11.3 seconds.
    My 0-60 in the 100hp performance tune with the hydra is 8.1 seconds

      Do 0-60 with your 140 tune

    • @NoHalfAss
      @NoHalfAss  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nick W I’m afraid 😂😂😂 lol jk
      honestly I don’t think it will be any faster cuz it’s too much boost and my turbo surges so I actually lose power when I get up to 22-25psi in the 140 tune. If I upgrade the turbo so it can handle more psi than it would be different but my stock turbo can’t handle a 0-60 in the 140 tune

    As far as your question on oil ! I ran full synthetic oil in my original 7.3 and got 400,000 miles before I blew a head gasket ! I bought a used engine after that was suppose to have 69,000 miles on it and I ran on Delo 400 non synthetic and it lasted 1 1/2 years ! Now I need a new engine again !!! Way to much $ in my truck ! I also run full synthetic in all my 5 other vehicles and my mother cycles !!! Also a very good friend that is a heavy equipment mechanic for a gold mine told me they have full synthetic in all machines and run 3 times longer before an oil change with no issues!!! It does not break down as fast as regular oils !!! It stays slick !!!!!!

    I use Mobil Delvac 15w-40 engine oil. I change the oil and also the fuel filter every 5,000 miles. I always use Motorcraft filters.

      @evdawg7757 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I was a young oil tech at a gm store delvac was the oil we used in the duramax trucks. But I've heard good things running it in the power stroke, running quieter then say Rotella. I went with Rotella last change and it isn't bad either. Always Motorcraft filters 👍

    I bought my 2000 dually 4wd new. I can't remember when I switched to Amsoil. It was not to early in the life of this unit.
    I use the 15/40 diesel marine with the Amsoil 25 k filter. I change the filter at 25k and oil and filter at 50 k. I have 449k. Getting ready to do the 9th oil change. Ford says 5k.. That is 90 oil changes VS 9. The Time and money is substantial. I test the oil in crankcase case and the injection pump. I recently heard Bill frim PS Atlanta video regarding this....I will have only my second sample of the section of the motor. second sample at 450k. The results were consistent everything is getting better or consistent and still in an operational spec. Keep running and sample in 12k...it doesn't matter. I change it. We have only replace the HP pump because of a leak and it was like 340 and injectors and cups( one leaked) at 387k. Regrets not putting a dual filtration system in the beginning. Plan is to do a body off restoration and drive it for another 500k. We have a 2000 reg cab 275k and 2001 excursion with 385k. All have been ran with the same oil and intervals. Contact me if you have any questions.

      Wow man that is crazy!!! That would save a lot of time. I do have an oil drain valve so oil changes are extremely easy as opposed to having a drain bolt. But having that many miles on your truck and not having to do oil changes as frequently sounds awesome!! Thanks for all the great info!!

    I use T6 no additives in Nebraska cold starts 11,000 mile changed running oil sample every other oil change to ensure that it is still holding proper oil values. But I have 373,000 miles so I keep a close eye on wear metal.

      The previous only owner used t4 it's entire life and has never replaced anything in the engine oil changes every 15,000 miles. I have a file folder about 7 in thick of everything that they have done to this and surprisingly injectors is not one of those things

  • @johnmattu7262
    @johnmattu7262 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know I'm late to the party, but just ran across your channel. As far as oil, I always ran the T-4, but about 2 years ago I was getting ready for a road trip to GA to pick up a new 28' enclosed race car trailer. I did a oil change before leaving and switched to the T-6 and was completely amazed, I could not believe the performance gain from a oil change. On my truck, it was as if I bumped my tuner up a notch or two. I would have never believed a different oil could have made such a dramatic change if I had not done it myself. I'm not a fan boie of many products, I just use quality parts for the application, but this one really surprised me. This was my own honest, personal experience and hope you get the same results.

    • @NoHalfAss

      That’s awesome bro thanks for the info! When I had a 6.0 powerstroke the previous owner ran T6 so I just continued to run it, but when I got the 7.3 that owner always ran T4 so I just never changed over. I might have to try the T6 now though!

    I’ve always used OEM motorcraft oil and filter with archoil additive. I like that motorcraft oil comes in containers of 1.25 gal vs 1 gal, so i get correct amount of oil needed with purchase of 3 containers. I Change it every 5k. I also try to use fuel additive with each fill up. I use mystery marvel. Drivability seems the same in my 95 with all the different types of fuel additives I’ve used. But I do notice slight differences when I don’t use fuel additive. This is all based on my experience and what’s been working in my 95 obs 7.3! Most of the products can be purchased at Walmart too.

    Thanks for this great video!! I know it’s been a while since you asked about the oil change but I’d like to put my two cents worth in.
    I have loved every Lucas product I have ever used. So, after I noticed that Lucas was making diesel motor oil, I emailed them about what they would recommend for my 2001 F350 7.3. They emailed me back the next day and recommended their “Lucas Oil 10076-PK4 15W-40 Magnum High TBN Truck Oil” for pre-2007 Diesel engines (3-one gallon jugs). They also recommended 3 bottles of the LUCAS LUC10130 Synthetic Oil Stabilizer. This makes a total of 15 quarts with the oil filter change. I have ordered and received this from Amazon and am interested (excited ) to try it. Unfortunately I’m having to wait until my brother becomes available to help me put my new oil pan and new Moroso oil pan gasket on before I change my oil. If Lucas diesel motor oil is as good as their other products then I’m really looking forward to using it!!

    Quick question as I'm looking at buying a 2003 7.3 powerstroke. Did the new intercooler pipe miss the power steering pipe? Eg. Is it slightly different to stop this happening again.

    • @NoHalfAss
      @NoHalfAss  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pipe is the same but you just have to twist it away from the power steering pump and then tighten the intercooler boot clamps. So if you buy the truck just check it out and make sure it’s not rubbing. If there’s a hole in it, I think the replacement intercooler pipe was like $45 or something. Not expensive at all. I’ve had several people tell me they found the same hole in theirs after watching my video though.

    I know a lot of guys run T-6 in there 7.3’s I run T-4 because it’s what I run in a lot of my older diesels. especially in my 7.3 since the CCV a bit of oil flys in the turbo -> is combusted out the engine.
