As many who actually know, this absolutely Great Mans work, was already overlooked by the passive Enthusiast..
The Movie, cemented the same unfortunate thing, leaving this Historic Car out of the Story..
It proved it was possible to beat Ferrari, a tiny little Upstart company, challenging Enzo and Winning...
    Thanks for sharing this...
    New Sub also...
Cheers from Orange County California 🇺🇸

What an incredible life story and what an interesting man Peter Brock is. The intelligence of this man is off the charts. To have designed two of the most famous, iconic and successful American sports cars of all time. That is the stuff of legends. His design of the Shelby Daytona Coupe without any of the sophisticated computer aided design tools of today is astounding. He did it all based on his intuitive understanding of aerodynamics. Just by changing the body of the Cobra with the body of the Daytona Coupe he took the car from a top speed of 160 mph to a top speed of 190 mph and the new design was, according to Brock, 25% more fuel efficient as well. And to think it all started with him as a young boy just hanging around a car repair shop watching and learning about cars.

Pete is never given the amount of credit that a lot of automotive "Legends" actually owe to him. Just a cool, well-rounded man who has much more class than some of those that were above him-

Had a 64 vette, it led me into SCCA road racing MGBs and also did the Daytona 24 and very happy now with my 2019 Z06. Never really knew who I owed so much too! Thank you sir.

I met this amazing man in Cali a year after Shelby died at the historic races. Shelby was the mark being honored that year.
My father owned a Superformance Daytona that I inherited. But he had met Peter and gone to dinner with him before this. He is such a nice guy. Will talk to anyone about cars and aerodynamics. Very approachable. Met Bob Bondurant the same weekend.
He drove my Dads car at a meet in Ohio. He was the same way. I couldn't believe that my father knew these guys. He was the same as Peter. So nice! This lady came up and hugged my father. She was Bobs wife. I was wondering who the hell is this blonde lady hugging my father.
Lol. It was just amazing trip!
The saying about never meeting your hero's didnt apply
To these two gentlemen they are Awesome. Bob is missed.

Wow! The word “legendary“ gets overused. Not in this case! Your American Peter Brock is amazing. There’s also a weird symmetry that our Australian Peter Brock - who might reasonably also be described as a legend - died racing a Daytona coupe in a Targa event. A great video. I look forward to part 2.

I assume Brock was joking when he said that was the end of the story because the car won the world championship the next year.

The Daytona Coupe wasn't that far off in design from the 250 GTOs. Surprised Pete got so much pushback.
