Hi Vinny, very nice Daytona… we did about 4 years to restore and make my Daytona lots better and real drivable ,testing on the road and on racetrack to make it a real driving machine😊. I m from germany and we are allowed to go full speed on the „Autobahn“😊Ron Weingart (R.I.P. 2021) and Peter Brock accompanied me and supported me with lots of great tips. 😊If you want the hole story and pics , tell me 😊 Best Bernd .. and SPC0040
Vinny, I saw this come out today but wanted to wait until I got home to really enjoy the video. Great video and awesome review. Can't wait to get mine in a few months finally. You rock Vinny!
When I win the lottery, I have a dream version of that car which I would commission. I'm not giving away my custom ideas, but you convinced me to go with Superformance if I ever have the money.
I remember the Gen 1, still have the photo too. Funny that you never got the back glass on order 😂. Love the look of the car can't wait to see it in person!!
It was Dr. Kamm (Kamm tail) in Germany and the same theory was used on many cars designed by Ercole Spada (TZ-1/TZ2) which predated the cobra coupe. The original coupe had a suspension designed by Bob Negstad. The second generation coupe modified that suspension to get a more deep dish wheel underneath the car however this meant that the suspension does not have the travel of the original coupe to keep the wheel in optimum position whilst cornering as I understand it. The hot set up on the series one coupe (up to #144) was an LS7 which is what Peter has in his coupe. Having said that the series 2 cars have a nicer interior and options and of course how can one not love the car either way.
13:15 Not only was it due to lack of money to make a new chassis, it was also in the FIA rules that it was necessary to use the existing Cobra chassis, which is how Enzo got around making the GTO's legal.
Oh wow you’re coming down here to Florida, I live like an hour from the supeformance dealership. The weather is still warming up but it’s definitely a lot warmer than where you guys are at😂.
Very nice Vinny, I have your old cat well sorted and it also is a screamer. If you want the tinted rear window Peter Brock has them at BRE ready to go!
Superformance makes some beautiful cars. I'm a fan of Factory Five racing kit cars. They are more affordable for the "regular" guy. Granted, you need to build the kit car...
What do you think about the series two that was just announced? A tribute to Carrol Shelby’s series one. Pretty much $500,000 car that is absolutely beautiful.
I believe that white and blue is from the Maserati MC12 and I've always loves that pearl white, which is funny because otherwise I generally hate white cars
I'm not buying the argument that since it has a CSX number assigned by Shelby American that makes it "real". I personally have the MK3 roadster, and not once have I told anyone what a lot of people say: " It's a real one, it's just not from the 60s."
I have a CSX9000 Shelby Daytona Coupe the first one ever delivered to Australia no one is saying that it’s a genuine car from the 1960s but what it is is a continuation model that carries a CSX chassis number which stands for Carol Shelby eXport and is fully licensed by Shelby whereas a MKiii roadster is a Superformance product the Shelby CSX Cobra roadsters and the Superformance MKiii roadsters are completely different cars nothing on them is interchangeable so yes one is a Shelby licensed product that carries a CSX Shelby chassis number and is faithful in every build aspect to the 1960s built Cobra roadsters & one is a Superformance car that is an homage to the Shelby Cars from the 1960s that carries either a SPO or SPC Superformance chassis number. If you buy a new mark one or mark two GT40 they are actually considered a brand-new genuine GT40 their chassis numbers continue on directly from where the 1960s chassis numbers left off but of course a genuine one from the 1960s will always be worth what a genuine one from the 1960s is worth a lot more than a brand-new continuation model. The best part about owning one of these new Superformance or Shelby cars whether it’s a Superformance or a Shelby CSX car is that they are NOT kit cars they are factory built cars The cars that carry a CSX prefix on the chassis number go into the Shelby World Registry as a genuine Shelby car whereas the Superformance cars that carry an SPO or an SPC chassis number do not go into the Shelby World Registry as a genuine Shelby car because they are completely differently built they are not the same cars this is not something that is decided by the owners this is something decided by Shelby American.
@@VINGIGGSGarage Thank you a lot of people get so confused about it I’m looking forward to receiving my Daytona and making a video. The Fuj..(fonz)😊.. Fuji white in motion blaked out. I like it! Tacos make it better..
What a wonderful car....❤
I very much appreciate that this car was NOT called a "Cobra".
Ive driven my Superformance in sub 30 weather. It's not fun 😂 but I'd bring it to match at an event

I want one 😂
Same lol
That's going to be dreamy, when you get some miles on it. Then 'Tail of the Dragon' time?
I would give up everything for a Daytona.
It's a lot of "Pause" moments in this video..😂

"promo sm" 🤩
Wow you are that rich you have all them cars and half of them are white
If it wasn't built in 1964, it's not a 1964. This is a pretty simple concept.
Tell that to the manufacturer, the state and federal govt. All three of them legally recognize it as a 1964 🤷🏻♀️
Your comment makes zero sense then why is the Factory Five Daytona called a Type 65 ? 🤷🏻♂️
@@malcmo Type 65 or Type 1965? Those numbers are different by about 1,000
