I've been waiting for this for so long! Finally

I really hope this is just a small taste of what's to come. I have a personal notion so the only use-case I've been able to use this for was the add a "Done date" to a task when I move it to complete. And even that is not perfect because of the lack of start-time / end--time (need to use separate properties uggh).
Still, at least there is hope now. I really hope they enhance the automatons in the near future so we can start doing some more advanced stuff. I'd like to automatically create duplicates of a task, for example, and I can't really do that at the moment.

    Great video!
Can you add a automation like “when page added then add page and set the date property the sames date”? So that different teams can have there own calendar but every time Team a adds a page to there calendar it automatically creates “the same” page to something like a main calendar, just with less informations.
Is something like this possible even when edited the date of that page it edits it over in the other database?
I don’t have the plus plan yet and want to know but not test it myself :(

I think you can have the timeline or calendar view use separate date properties, so if you set this up the automation, it could still work like you were mentioning.

You can use separate date properties with the timeline view but not the calendar view. So unfortunately you have to compromise if that’s the approach you want to choose. I used to prefer separate properties anyway but the majority of Notion users seem to like a single property. Now that Notion has made adding end dates to a date property easier, I usually use the single date property too.

Thanks for the great video! Can you pair this with the NotionAI features? Automations that trigger AI output?
    Or
Could you create Chain of Thought prompt chains with the automation?

Glad you found it useful! The automations can only update database properties at the moment so you're little bit limited in terms of what you can do with NotionAI. You could use the Custom Autofill or Translate functionality for AI properties and set those to auto-update on page edits though. So if you wanted to generate a new summary for a project, every time the status and assignee was updated by an automation or you needed to generate translations for the properties from a set of pages that had been created by an automation, that would be possible. I hope that helps!
