Airbus A300 Burning Rubber hard braking! - FedEX, Diversions, windy weather landings London Stansted

- A FedEX Airbus A300 makes a touchdown then appears to apply firm braking, burning rubber as it does so. With Qatar Airways Cargo, Ryanair, Pegasus Airways, Titan Airways and EasyJet in the mix with strong and gusty winds.
Filmed on 6 Feb 2016, this video catches a number of landings at London Stansted Airport during some very windy conditions. The gusts were 37knots and upwards and I was frequently almost blown off the ladder. So, challenging flying and challenging filming conditions.
With the wind, the sound quality is affected, so I do apologise for that, however I hope the video shows some interesting shots of firm landings, hard braking, and turbulent approaches. Note that the winds were channelling down the runway rather than across.
As well as the Stansted regulars of Ryanair, EasyJet, FedEx, Qatar, Pegasus and Titan, we also had a diversion in the shape of British Airways from Heathrow.
Thank you for taking time to watch, share, like and tweet. I appreciate all of the support and look forward to your comments.

Great shots David the Fedex will need new brake shoes, all these interesting captures your having lately , keep it up.Thanks
+Ernest Johnson Hi Ernest, I have been putting an awful lot of effort into my videos of late, and have had the support of some brilliant people in my life in doing this. It's all part of a way of building some calm after having gone through some tough times lately. I am pleased you have been enjoying the scenes and I hope to continue to bring more over the coming months. As always (I hope it doesn't get boring to hear), I am genuinely grateful for all of the support.
Wow, great shot of the Fedex with the smoky brakes!
+Mraviationguy Thanks very much for watching my video of landings in windy conditions at London Stansted Airport. I've not filmed anything like that before with the brakes smoking. What it didn't catch was the smell of burning rubber thick in the air. I am pretty sure they were braking to get the high speed turn off, instead having to continue down the runway and use a later exit before taxiing to gate.
Oh right! Yeah most likely. I caught a similar thing on an RJ85 and uploaded that a few weeks ago, although the smoke was nothing like as intense as the smoke on this Fedex!
Awesome video! The A300 is a great example of how cargo pilots fly... Liked! Keep it up!
Nice video. I flew EI-EPA that day, it's was interesting, but the 8th Feb was certainly more challenging.
+gunnerpetters Many thanks for your kind comment on my video from London Stansted. Interesting you mention EI-EPA, I have the landing of that aircraft on 8th Feb during Storm Imogen. It wasn't one of the more bumpy approaches compared to some others so it didn't make my final edit in that video. Thanks again for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
+bananamanuk nice. I'd like to see it if possible? It didn't feel particularly smooth, we were working very hard!
+gunnerpetters Hi thanks again for commenting, I will try to include the landing of EI-EPA in an upcoming video from London Stansted
great filming by you in that strong wind, I would expect camera shake, but on tripod it is better. I only film jazz concerts in Harwich and Suffolk. let me know if you have any comments, as this is a new Canon HD camcorder I use, but not professional models as they are very expensive, best wishes and a Happy New Year
+tradjazzer THank you for taking time to watch my video of aircraft landing in Storm Imogen at London Stansted Airport and for sharing your comment.
Great stuff, as always
+Pete Watson Hi, thanks a lot for watching my video of the windy landings at London Stansted, I appreciate your comment and am pleased you enjoyed it.
Was the smoke on the FedEx A300 from his wheels locking up?
+James Moore Hi, thanks for watching my video from London Stansted. I wouldn't have thought the A300 wheels locked up, I would suggest the pilots were braking. I don't fly for a living so I wouldn't know for sure.
Nice Video Bud.
Nice video
+xhuntaar13 Thanks for watching my video of windy landings at London Stansted, I appreciate your comment and am pleased you enjoyed the video.
Nice video!!!
+Simon pYUL Many thanks for watching my video of aircraft landing in strong winds and the FedEX burning some rubber on touchdown!
Great video! :) If you're referring to decelerating it's 'braking' not 'breaking' :) Keep the videos up!
+Aidan O'Connell Thank you for correcting my auto-correct
