  • This is the dash cam I installed - amzn.to/1NJxo2Y
My model is a 2012 Highlander but I suspect this would work just as well in any model from 2010 - current.

You can use a panel tool to push that USB cable into those cracks. That panel on the passenger side also can pop off to run cables thru.

If your using this, make sure if you want camera to always be check fuse box to determine what has voltage running you want the lowest voltage for fuse example if your lock is fuse 15 normally is. Then check next to it and use low voltage fuse camt be more then what comes in package. As far as weather strip dont do this ppace it inside strip and run it under plastic u can buy tool for it to pop it open to do this.

You need to run that wire under the A-pillar airbag for safety.

How do you manage to keep the suction cup from falling off? Both suction cups on my dashcam and gopro fall off when I stick them on the black spots.

Never ever run your cables like this if you have airbags, the best way is to pull out the side door pillar gasket, pull out the windshield pillar trim on the top , it will pop out about 2 inches, then fish a wire through UNDER THE CURTAIN AIRBAGS, fish your wires through and then hide it in the gasket and under the glove box. NEVER BLOCK YOUR AIRBAGS.

I know this is old, but this is a terrible idea and poses an extreme safety risk if the airbags go off. Don’t do this!
