Tottenham have an excellent coach. He knows exactly how he wants to play every game. His philosophy is keep hold of the ball whether defending or attacking. Press high up the pitch to keep your opponents penned in. Always score more goals than your opponents. He is trying to build a squad of players (not just a starting 11) who can execute his plans. The squad is not quite there yet and until they reach the right level of maturity there will be inconsistency.

Pep's rest defense was really naive today considering how they lost to Sporting. Their offense is top tier and was unlucky not to score 2+ goals, but Spurs transitions are too easy when it's 3-0-7 ETH ball with no one holding the middle of the pitch. Gundogan, Walker, Ederson, Akanji are all Saudi bound and this team might need a rebuild in the summer.

Worse hes not signed a good cdm as backup since Fernandinho left… this error has been there for yearssssss hes just only paying for it now. Nottingham Forest lost both their starting CM’s within first 3 games and then went on to shock everyone and be top 4 after 10 games… they planned better than City did for injuries in the middle. Think about that. Forest recruited in central midfield areas smarter than City. They had multiple solutions… yesterday they had Sangare Danilo Anderson and MGW all out… and had to play 5,6,7th choice central midfielders away at Arsenal. Nobody will mention it.

the situation that you seeing right now it was completely the same in 2019/20 season .. arsenal look a great side but the kind of damage they have done at the beginning of the season it’s gonna be challenging but never say never .. I just think when a team has likes of salah, van dijk, Trent , Alison, Robertson . Who have done it in the league and cl before with multiple deep runs in champions league and also 92 and 97 pts finishes.. add to that the likes of macalister who is World Cup winner , konate and gravenberch start of the year .. sobozlai is Hungary captain…this Liverpool team is no mugs as how Gary Neville says it is to create his own narrative …that Liverpool attack offers much more than like of arsenal and man city this season so far.. adding to the fact the center back partnership is also very very impressive of van dijk and konate only 6 goals .. arsenal and city are both in double digits for goals conceded .. i really think Neville is downplaying Liverpool this year because of pure hatred and jeolousy.. he will be the loudest when we have another loss (hopefully not very soon)… mark my words if Liverpool win the next five games the league is done

The margins for making mistakes over the last decade have been ridiculous, if you lost 4 games all season there has been an inevitability about where the title would go. But it is November and there is a long way to go yet, writing anybody off or awarding it to anyone so early is ridiculous. If the table reads the same way at the end of March there would still be enough points to fight for. So let's just take it easy hey. Regarding Liverpool, what is exciting to me is there is still a lot of room for improvement. We have given ourselves a great platform to build on and if we can get a bit of luck with injuries and maintain that composure and patience Slot has instilled there is room for us to improve and that is encouraging!

Lets keep it real. Pep's success cannot be divorced from the money he was able to spend on his squads in Spain, Germany and England. To really gauge how good a coach he is, he has to coach a team to success that is not filled with the league's most expensive squad. its as simple as that. It is not surprising that MC is faltering this season with an aging squad. It remains questionable whether he will achieve success if he did not have the massive riches of his benefactors to spend of the squad. It is amazing how ex-players and pundits alike skirt around the money factor. Sir Alex Ferguson's success at Man U was based on exactly the same factors. As does Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Its definately not Haalands missed half chances that made them lose. If a team needs 5 goals to win a game, then the defense and midfield is poor, as it has been in the last year really. Midfield is too slow….they walk forward and they walk back in defence. No tempo at all. Haaland must be so frustrated never getting a single ball to run for. He gets the passes behind him, too late or in thight positions where he doesnt have any tme, like today. Their slow posession play is so easy to stopl and predictable. If they started to play quicker passes forward to Haaland, then the goals would come but they insist to keep the ball and play it sideways until they lose it. All Tottenhams goals came on quick turnovers. Maybe City should try the same..

This city team has been vulnerable at times over the last 2 seasons in the Prem. Had Arsenal appointed a proper manager they would have won at least 1 PL over the last 2 seasons with City focusing on Europe. Now it appears as though Slot may take advantage of this stale city team in his first season.
