Here is my Galaxy Note 3 running the new Android Lollipop with Soundcamp app and Samsung Professional Audio technology. It is the first time I can use the Note 3 for making music with really low latency! Soundcamp is a free mobile DAW available on GALAXY apps Store. Up to now, it is compatible with Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Edge and Galaxy Note 3/ Galaxy S5 running the new Android Lollipop. It supports MIDI controllers and third party apps which work like plugins.
Aqui está meu Galaxy Note 3 rodando o novo Android Lollipop com o Soundcamp e a tecnologia de áudio profissional da Samsung. Essa é a primeira vez que consigo utilizar o Note 3 para fazer música com latência realmente baixa. Soundcamp é uma DAW móvel gratuita disponível na loja GALAXY Apps. Até o momento, ele é compatível com o Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Edge e Galaxy Note 3/ Galaxy S5 rodando o novo Android Lollipop. Ele suporta controladores MIDI e aplicativos de terceiro que funcionam como plugins.

For all the blokes and shelas who want to know about the compatibility of the app.
The app is called "Soundcamp" and it is limited to Samsung Galaxy S Series starting from Galaxy S5 and above.
Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy tab starting from tab s2 are also compatible.
You can't install that app on other phones, even on the same brand like Samsung Galaxy j series, A series, C series , etc.....
Technically, to install that app, the phone needs audio hardware system called "SAPA".
Actually You can install it on J7 series, starting from 2016 version and up.
And A series. I had A7(2017) and I enjoyed using the app on that phone.
I can use it on my Samsung Galaxy A5!

Continuo achando a experiencia em criação musical no Android, insatisfatória.
Nota-se que ainda tem um certo atraso na reprodução dos instrumentos, mesmo em um aparelho extremamente robusto como o Note3. Isso não ocorre utilizando o Garageband, mesmo em um iphone 4s.
A latência está muito baixa. Acho que é questão de ajustes de software agora. Impossível comparar com iphone ou ipad, mas muito melhor do que já foi no Note 3 algum dia :) Está melhorando!

Yes, the name is Latency! It was low, but not enough :) The new galaxy smartphones have lower latency now.

Thanks for the great video; I've been impressed enough to start trying to learn to use it. No intention on getting a full keyboard as I figure this has everything on it really...just needs the muscle memory to include scrolling to different parts of the keyboard.
Now all I need is a few years supply of finger exercises written with just 10 ivories in mind and translated from the unintelligible lost language of music scores to the modern 'press here where we're pointing, idiot' version :)

if i were you i'd pick the cheapest ipad/ipod.
but i'm not u i like android too much.
on apps that use openSL i have internal 6 ms of latency/
using the touch screen adds some but it is pretty much unnoticable, USB midi and USB audio will add close to 0 latency.
this professional sound is just samsung trying to be the cool kid.
I Think that all android devices should just support a one and only sound api that will handle everything.
openSL still has some audio crackling problem when going too low in the latency but it depends on the app.
caustic works perfectly using openSL but G-stomp studio has the sound crackling problem when using open SL
g-stomp has low medium and high latency modes.
on opensl these are: 6ms 12ms and 24ms accordingly.
on the old audio track there is no low setting and medium/high are 48/96 which is damn annoying!
HAWXLEADER I've actually tried my note 5 with external keyboards with a plug and go adapter. The note 5 actually powers some USB/midi keyboards just threw the USB. like the maudio 49 keyboard. with close to zero latency. I tried several different keyboards at guitar center. and all of them worked very well with the note 5. I'm sticking with Samsung. i hate iPad. I'm actually looking forward to what Samsung does with Soundcamp. I keep seeing updates and features being added to it.

Can you add any extra apps on your note 3? The add apps button on the top right just shows a lot of unrelated apps. No morphwiz for example. :( It's a nice start but there are no effects available for note 3 at least not on my note 3. Can you download more?
Hi Jeremy. Like you said, the related apps behavior is very weird at this point. It shows lots of unrelated apps and I can't find some very important ones, like MorphWiz. Now I can see the iRig Voice and ThumbJam. They are coming but I can't tell you why they are not already there.

Achei na loja de apps para Galaxy, após atualizar o Android para a versão mais recente.
Entendi, eles devem ter retirado, pq não encontro e enviei um email pra eles e eles disseram que não era compativel com o galaxy note 3.
