That is one of the best color combinations Honda ever made on a dirt bike.

I used to have this bike. I bought a used one in 1998 for $1,500 with money I earned mowing lawns with my dad. One of my fondest memories of childhood.
Miss this bike. Glad it ended up in a museum where it belonged!

I read some where that the CR80 had THE most power to weight ratio ever made.
I read that also, certain year or years. I knew a guy years back who raced 80s in the early 90s & collected so many CR80s it was crazy
I ran a KX but those were definitely a rocket
I had a 1993 kx80 big wheel and my of was right up their with the Cr. The reason I got the kx was because honda didnt have a big wheel and the kx suspension was way better and the frame made it way more stable at speed. If honda had updated their suspension with that motor they would have been on top.
its funny how these little rippers can put you on your ass quick no matter if your 100 pounds or 300pounds fun bikes awesome video jr you can tell your getting more comfortable doing these even though ya have for yrs you can just tell your having fun

I rode 80’s growing up. I had ‘92 yz80 (new), ‘93 yz80 (sub 30 hours). Brother had ‘93 kx80. Loved them all. We were kings with those 90’s colorway two stokes back in the day. Man, I love this channel. Brings back so many good memories that in fact.. I went out and picked up a new ‘20 yz250 late last year. Keep em coming guys!!

We have one, got it for my nephew 6 years ago for 700 bucks with a song and a dance because of frame number issues. He road It for a couple years and it sat for about 4, still sits. you can see why I don't want to throw my kids on it yet, I'm afraid of it myself with a light switch hit even for a 185 adult. I figured purple seat would be good for my girls, and its super light, but seriously a dangerous ass bike and doesn't seem to be any aftermarket flywheel weights available, or much of anything until the next model change. Thought about machining one, but for what it's worth, better off just getting a power valved 80 or possibly a boat anchor xr.
I think it might be the loudest roached out stock silencer that has ever made ears bleed.

Did that bike come up from NJ. There was one on FB market place not too long ago from where I’m from in SJ. I can’t remember if it was a 94 or 95. 95 was a great year for styling when they changed to the purple. Would be cool to find some NOS AM graphics from back then. The colors were wild in the sets. Hoping to get up to you guys in the near future to check out your great selection

God I want one. I want an 80. I want to make it jus t like rebuilt 500s I want to put either newer 150 forks on or try and fit in some WP suspension. I won’t even buy a pipe I’ll just sand it and make it look works since the factory pipes are so good.

I raced a stock 1991 CR 80 from 91 to 93 and it was a rocket. I rode every 80 out there at the time and they just didn't feel as good overall.

After 1989, the cosmetic look for 'all' dirtbikes went COMPLETELY down hill, the '85 '86 '87 (in that order) will never be topped.

I've got a 1994 cr80r...still runs, been stored in apt 15+years now. But needs a complete rear swing arm. I live in Kotzebue Alaska. Where can I get some parts?!

It’s hard, eBay has some. Plastics are the toughest to find unless you go on the cr80 Facebook page and pay hundreds for them

Hey ken was just wondering how much compression should a 1994 cr80 have. Got the same bike in the shop and they hem haul me saying spec is 60psi?!! With brand new rebuild. Not to mention I got it out. They said it was tight. So took it home. You can pull it over with 1 finger. Took the head off and you can rock the piston back and forth. Now it’s back at the shop and they say I blew the crank seal. And metal shavings in the bottom end. Piston is fucked. They told me they would take care of me this time cause I raised hell. That I only pay 94 dollars for the parts. Instead of 105 a hour in labor. Let me know what you think. Please. And if you have a 1985 rm125 expansion pipe. I sure would love it. What gets me is my 1985 rm125 kicks out 150 psi
