Would be a dream to find just a nice fragment like you found let alone two whole ones. Congrats on your finds and thanks for sharing the hunt. The bottle was an added bonus. Nice! Take care.
I get so jealous when I see that clear water, clear water streams are really rare around here and there are only a couple of scenic rivers in the state that are clear. Almost all the streams and rivers here are dirty brown or red, a couple of clear lakes you can dive in but most are red or brown.
Love the time frame beau uses... “ I found this about 20 feet ago.” A sort of Dr Who type of time space continum version of finding artifacts. When you find the artillery shells they just make me shudder.the DAMAGE they must have caused. No wonder so many people died of shock, blood loss, infection and subsequent disease.
Nice day on the river. It seems all of the rivers up there have much of the same characteristics ..... same water color, rocky, littered with logs and snags and of course the obligatory trash.
As you found a base cup from a yankee shell and fired confederate shells, could you estimate there ranges and use that radius to determine a potential confederate target location where you could find the yankee shells and confederate bases. It would be a long shot (pun not intended) but it would certainly be an interesting challenge
Hi, uk viewer and I’m hooked watching your vids. In many of your vids you talk about preservation and time involved. I ask, do you think you could, perhaps, devote a vid or two or maybe a before and after shot of some of the things you’ve found? I’d love to see how those shells come out, the musket etc. I’m just intrigued as to how you finally present them. On another point, I always wince at the size of some of the bullets or musket balls you find, yeah I’m sure modern day round hurt but these are enormous and hate to think what it would be like to be hit by one. Thank you for the content
Awesome finds c h i g g. I really enjoyed this video. The bottle was a cool find also. Like your other subscriber here I too would love to see you do a video sometime of all your great finds throughout the years that would be awesome.
Awesome finds Beau! Only you would walk into a creek looking for bullets and go home with artillery shells 😂 and that hutch was in perfect condition 😀👍
Adventure archeology would know that bottle. Id shoot him a message and see what he knows about it. He specializes in hutch bottle searching and I’m sure he’d shed some light on it.
5:30 You: "Do you think it's an artillery shell?" Me: "If you think it is, then it is. 6:09 "Do you think it's an artillery shell?" Me: "Of course…….….Oops, never mind" Great finds Chigg!
There a lot of old sites you have had success with that are probably worth revisiting because the river has changed. Have you gone back to that place you found 120 silver dollars?
andrext Arrow heads are plentiful on the river banks in most places in North America. Not sure if you’ve gone hunting for them but it’s easy and fun. You should give it a shot.
Hey man thanks for the video I enjoyed it and that's the kind of bottles that you want to collect I should know I collect the old Antique Bottles like that myself I would say got about 6,000 I haven't exactly counted them but you want the colors and embossing on them you don't want clear bottles are garbage
wow mate they are amazing finds I wish we had lots of bullets and shells here in Australia. I cant wait to see you at the Metal Detecting Worl Championship
Beau, with these "live" shells, how do you ensure there is no risk of them going off? I've found live ordnance before that has been in water and had it disposed of due to not knowing how to handle it safely
Very nice "bartle"!
Always fun to see someone else pull a Hutch! Great job!
Congrats on the hutch bottle and the artillery shells! I'd be amazed, just to find the bullets! Lol. Wonderful video, Chigg!

Nice finds mr chigg 😱
Another great video !
Not a bad haul mate👍
That's really cool, thanks Chigg!
Yay a chigg video!!
That grommet looks like a ring from a tarp LOL
That's because it is a tarp grommet. Made the same for several hundred years. Which in turn is why Chigg said he didn't know how old it is.
Good score there Beau, well done . atb

"Chas." is short for Charles. Another cool vid!
I agree!😁
Damm awesome finds hold your breath
I’m pretty new to detecting. But what’s the reason that all these things are in the creeks?
Awesome video Chigg. It would be really great to see your electrolysis and cleaning shells video. 🙂
Loved the bottle
Another great video. Happy Hunting 😊
Another great thumb nail mate
Awesome finds Beau! Only you would walk into a creek looking for bullets and go home with artillery shells 😂 and that hutch was in perfect condition 😀👍
1:20 It's called a hutch usually for pop. Very valuable.
great video and great find
Adventure archeology would know that bottle. Id shoot him a message and see what he knows about it. He specializes in hutch bottle searching and I’m sure he’d shed some light on it.
Civil War nut and former reenactor here, trying to dabble into relic hunting, but no luck, yet.
Nice Hutch!
Wow! new high-resolution camera? I've never seen your videos so clear!
Turned into a good day.
That's pretty cool man. Love the bottle

Freaking sweet video!!!

Hey Beau..... try using polarized sun glasses when you are out in the creeks. ALSO......... !!! TANNERITE !!!
Fid you miss a ring when picking the shell 5.41
I keep thinking I should check my local creeks for Civil War stuff, and then I remember I am in Canada :>)
andrext French and Indian war? Lol
@Noah Doolan yep right above you in SE Mi. Slim pickings for sure.
andrext If you’re in eastern Canada you can still search for colonial era relics just as cool imo.
@@TeeterTuckin I am in Mississauga Ontario. Closest I have is native Indians.

They have them drilled and flushed. Check out birdogg just did a video about how the powder reacts after 150 years it was pretty impressive.
Can you do another video on how you clean up the shells and cannon balls
He has its way back maybe 2years ago.
