Lurking in the Outlands and spending years plotting her son’s rise to power, Zira is seemingly diabolical. She abuses and manipulates her children and pride to further her own agenda in hopes of one day avenging her former leader Scar. Is it really that simple though? Is Zira truly evil or did Scar manipulate her into being his slave even after he dies? Hello I’m Isaac from Wotso Videos where we discuss fun topics for fun people and today we are going to examine the backstory of Zira. I examine Zira and provide my theories on aspects of her life while also providing her full story as it is found in the Lion King II: Simba’s Pride.

I'm surprised there wasn't more mention of Scar's actual son, Nuka. To be rejected by his father and to see his half brother chosen to take in Scar's footsteps must've SUCKED
What evidence is there that Nuka was Scar's biological son?
Maybe that was why so many lionesses betrayed Simba. They saw him and Mufasa as simply perpetuating the family, whereas Scar chose his heir based on intelligence.

I think that Zira was unstable, and weak minded. Scar knew this, and this why he could manipulate her. In her youth, Zira was probably been abused a lot, and over looked. So, abuse was probably the only thing that Zira knew, and usually, the abused becomes the abuser.
Charles Washington Probably. I think that her being emotionally and physically weak, easily manipulated and probably being abandoned by the fathers of her children, gave Scar the advantage to mold Zira into his most faithful servant.

She actually was abused as a cub. From what I know, her mother was killed by her father, and her father abused her. This caused her to run away, and come to the place she met scar.

None of them are evil, the entire family dealt with abuse, depression and severe abandonment disorders.

No wonder Scar chose Kovu to become king. Scar didn't want the eldest son to take all the credit like how Mufasa did with Scar. So he wanted Kovu to accomplish Scar's dream by having the younger son become king unlike how the eldest son should traditionally receive the throne. Mind blowing!

Zira thinks Simba killed Scar but she doesn't know that Scar actually survived after Simba threw him off the cliff and the hyenas were the ones who really finished him off
Exactly. If she had known it was them they would have been in The Lion King 2 and they probably would have met the same demise as Scar.

In a way I don't think Zira really is evil but at the same time I do... A lot of people see her as an abusive, heartless monster, including myself. I also thought Zira was abusive and heartless... until Nuka is killed, her reaction to his death is was made me think otherwise on her truly being evil, especially the deleted scene of Nuka's death when he says... "Well, I finally got your attention didn't I?" And she smiles warmly, down at him while holding his head in her paw. She loved her children, even though she didn't show it she loved them. Nuka, Vitani... even Kovu.
When she threatens to kill Vitani at the end out the movie for joining Simba's side I don't think it was out of evilness, I think she was hurt and betrayed. Everything had been torn from her. Her title as "queen" her beloved mate, the death of her eldest son and the betrayal of her youngest son. There was some many things against her she didn't know how to properly take it all in and in a fit of rage she blurted out her desire to kill her own children for betraying her.
Zira was depressed. I do fully believe that if Scar had lived and they were still together, she would have been a better mother to her cubs, she would have treated them with love. But because her whole world was torn apart she became depressed. Idk how familiar you are with the mental illness depression but it can really screw someone up. It can drive them to want to kill themself or even someone else. If Zira was already depressed before meeting Scar then meeting him and falling in love was like her happy pill. She felt happiness and fulfilment, when Scar was killed it's like quitting your medication cold turkey. Her body went into depression overdrive causing her to become obsessive, violent and abusive.
In short, I think Zira was a very sad lioness who fell in love with the wrong lion. I do believe she could have lived a much happier life if she hadn't fallen in love with Scar and remained loyal to Mufasa/Simba but just like real life.. you can't help who you fall in love with and her lust for Scar ended up destroying her in the end.
You mean sort of like stockholm syndrome? I suppose it's possible but I think she just loved him on her own because from what I've seen/read, Scar wasn't even really into Zira at first. He thought she was kind of clingy and annoying but none of those claims were canon so I'm not really sure. :/
@KANYANTA MWANSA I liked that thought, very agree with you :) In a few words, we can talk about a TOXIC LOVE. But c'mon, she had three children for whom to live: Nuka, Vitani and Kovu (although I still thinking Kovu wasn't Scar and Zira son, actually he was stolen) and no matter what happened in the past. I think that it was very important that in this movie have spoken about TOXIC LOVE, because in the real life this happens more than you think and women still prefering men instead of their children. So sad :(
i like your theory, but scar wasnt zira's mate. if scar was zira's mate then kovu and kiara would be related bc of mufasa and scar being brothers. so zira's mate must have been some rouge male lion.

My own personal theory: Scar wasn't killed by the Hyenas. Somehow he manged to crawl away but was severely disabled by the attack. Zira and her pride cared for him. Scar lived long enough to see Kovu born and name him as heir. The clue to this is a line from Nuka; "Scar wasn't even his Father, he just took him in" To able to do that, Scar HAD to still be alive.
and considering that kovu and kiara appear to be close in age that makes a lot of sense
Scar was devoured by the hyenas though they ate him. Kovu was probably born right before Simba came back.
if nala got pregnat during 'can you feel the love tonight' that means zira was pregnant before scar died and he told her, her son would be king it would explain why zira was so loyal to him after he died, but i really like your theory
I agree with you. Zira had 3 children in the Lion King 2....one appearing to be a young adult when Kovu and Kiara are children....and other than her two sons, there are no other males in her pride. In the original Lion King, we see a lot of lion cubs (Simba, Nala, Kiara) but we don't see any of Scar's children and there is no mention of Zira. I think Zira met Scar after she was banished from the Pride Lands and the created a new pride to get revenge on Simba. She learned his ways and after Scar died, she took up his crown and his cause to destroy Simba. We don't actually SEE Scar get killed. We just see a shadow. And both Nuka and Kovu look an awful lot like Scar with the green eyes and black mane.

I think zira's death is misunderstood. Right before zira falls, she gives a look, as though realisation dawned on her that the child (kiara) she previously wanted dead was not an enemy. I think when shes trying to claw back up as she slips, its zira trying to reach for kiara's paw. I think she realised her mistakes and let go of her hate too late which is just terrible. If she had survived.. Who knows?

I agree that some part of Zira is compassionate. She didn't hate her children. During Nuka's last moments she really did care for him. Scar just took advantage of that loyalty
I don't think Zira is necessarily evil. She was just angry about the problems in her life and tried to solve them in the wrong way.

I always thought Zira refused to accept Kiara's help because she didn't understand it. Unconditional love and acts of mercy were beyond her being that she had spent so long being completely consumed by her hatred, he thirst for revenge and he need to manipulate and exploit those around her. When Kiara offered her paw Zira swing at her paw as if deflecting an attack. She only saw Kiara as an enemy, she couldn't see her as anything else so sge saw the paw Kiara was offering to help as an attempt to finish her off. When Kiara said "I really am trying to help you."Zira didn't only look scared she also seemed surprised. She then realized that her enemy wasn't trying to kill her but to save her, but by then it was too late.
She is just the best villain of Disney. She is, for sure, my favorite character.
I would like to see a movie about Zira, it would be such an interesting and deep movie...

Love the theory of Ziras backstory. I personally would like to think Zira was a little bit older than Nala and Simba.
The idea that Zira was manipulated by Scar is perfect. However, I would personally like to believe that Nuka is biologically Scars and Ziras son. At some point during Scars reign Zira is one of the most loyal lions Scar had and gave her the opportunity to produce his heir, hence where Ziras obsession to please him proceeds to get worse. After Nuka is born Scar disowns Zira for not producing him a worthy heir. Zira being heart broken then starts to fall into deeper into her obsession, scolding Nuka and maybe even blaming him for her failure in Scar; she never gives Nuka the proper care and attention he needed, which leads to Nuka becoming obsessed to please his mother.
There was a deleted scene released where Scar tries to convince Nala into becoming his new Queen, but she refuses. Scar then proceeds to say "You know you really have no choice, one way or another, I always get what i want." So at some point Scar forces Nala to have his heir. Nala later has a little girl who we know as Vitani - since the only characters we see with blue eyes are Nala and Vitani. Scar is yet again disappointed and has failed to have male heir. With Nala falling into desperation and depression she sees herself unworthy to raise Vitani and hands her over to Zira to raise as her own. After that Nala runs away in hopes to find help for the Pridelands.
During Nalas absence something must've happened between either another pride or a few lone lions. The hyenas were order killed them after they were found trespassing onto the land, however Scar hears something rustling in a bush nearby. A small dark pelted green-eyed cub. Surprised with how much this young cub looked like him Scar took the cub back to Priderock where the cub is later given to Zira to raise as his heir and is named Kovu. Zira, now having a second chance to please Scar, focuses all of her attention into raising Kovu. This will also explain why Nuka dislikes Kovu, since he took all of his mothers attention and was basically left with nothing. This unrelated cub was Scars new heir, even though Nuka was Scars first born son.
Shortly after Nala returns with the rightful heir, Simba, and the battle for the Pridelands begins. Scars reign is finally over when Simba defeats Scar and is later killed by the hyenas. After Zira finds her beloved King lifeless becomes enraged and calls Simba a murderer, then proceeds to say that he has no right to the throne since Kovu was Scars heir. After the pride refuse to accept Scars heir Zira attacks Simba but is easily defeated by him; which leads to the banishment of herself, her cubs and her followers.
Zira is then focusing all of her attention into raising Kovu, just like how Scar wanted her to. Zira will have revenge. After Kovus interaction with Kiara, Zira finally has an idea to take vengeance. She manipulates and twists her pride and children, turning them into killers and loyal servants. The day finally comes, Kovu saves Kiara which forces Simba to accept him into the pride. Ziras plan is working out just fine until Kovu starts to fall in love with Kiara, betraying Zira. Enraged Zira takes her pride and follows Kovu and Simba to the burned ruins of the Pridelands, the attack happens on Simba and just when things were looking well for the Outlanders, Kovu yet again betrays Zira after he refuses to go after Simba. This then lead to Nukas burning desire to please his mother and finally show her his potential, which also leads to his death. His desperation causes him to being crushed by the logs, we then see Zira comforting her son during his final moments. In that scene we see who Zira actually was. A kind, gentle and caring mother but was deeply blinded and manipulated by Scar. Filled with fury she lashes out at Kovu, giving him the scar.
Now for the final battle. During the battle we see Vitani and Nala confront one another. Vitani says "Where's your pretty daughter Nala?" which makes me believe that Zira must've told Vitani the truth about her mother, and used it to her advantage. After Kiara gives her moving speech about the prides needing to come together to finally bring peace to the Pridelands, Zira demands Vitani to attack but Vitani realises the truth and refuses her. Vitani was probably a well respected member of Ziras pride, so once Vitani turned against Zira the other lionesses did too.
In the struggle between life and death on the cliff Kiara begs Zira to forget her hate and take her paw, but instead Zira refuses. The realisation doesn't hit Zira until it was too late, where we see Zira struggling to climb back up and ultimately falls to her death. But a part of me likes to believe Zira isn't dead. c:

she is evil, but not THAT evil. she loved scar so much that she tried to get back at the ions that killed him. She hated them because they hated Scar, and she basically gave up her life just to do what would've made him happy. He would be happy to know that she wanted to get back at them, and when Kiara wanted to help, she said no because of their responsibility for the death of him.
I think she did not know the hyenas killed no ate him. but would she had said yes to return if she knew what really happend and maybe nuka would be alive

No one is born evil. A person becomes evil usually depending on the environment they grew up in or some form of bad influence. Wich in this case the bad influence was scar. She probably is a good lioness and we see she tried to comfort her son when he died. She did what any mother would do, good or bad. Maternal instincts probably kicked in right when that happened.

I mean i get the fact that he was power hungry and all that but were did that come from? His dad or mom didnt influence or manipulate him to be evil so where did his evil nature come from? Btw i do agree that no one is born evil im jus asking what happened to scar to make him so twisted and jacked up!

Scar's father chose Mufasa to take his place and would constantly ignore Scar and favor Mufasa which made Scar's jealousy grow and grow over time.
What everyone also fails to mention is that she truly cared about her cubs. When Nuka died she was heartbroken and it changed to an outburst, which oh yeah, is a stage of grief. After this she became manic almost and later when her Vitani and Kovu betray her she goes through almost an anger/denial point, internally feeling like this was Simba's fault and denying that this was because of how she acted and treated them but instead was brainwashing.
Not many people talk about whether she loved her kids or not, they just talked about her character and that's it. And I think she cared about them in a bad way.
She literally told Vitiani "then you will die too"--she was gonna kill her own daughter if she sided with Simba.
Does anyone even talk about how little Nuka’s mane is, even though he is older than Kovu?
I think you exaggerate a bit when you say that Zira's insecurity was due to her physical weakness.
Zira demonstrated a willingness to fight Simba one on one which Scar never had. When she first sees Simba in TLKII, she actually positions herself to pounce on him, relenting only when Nala and the lionesses appeared. What's more, she actually seemed _happy_ to fight him, rather than feeling she had no alternative, as was the case with Scar.
This shows she was confident she could defeat Simba in single combat, and I don't blame her. Simba and his lionesses show a bizarre reluctance to use their claws and teeth in battle. Just watch the Simba v Scar fight and the final battle in TLK II. The pridelanders literally do nothing but slap their opponents, while Scar and the outlanders willingly bit and slashed at them.

I think Simba and the lionesses were kind and just didn't want to hurt any of them badly, even if they deserved it.

Zira was the biological mother of Kovu but Scar wasn't the biological father of Kovu. It says that in the movie The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride.
I'm gonna pause . first and foremost. The name Zira. Is Swahili . and when translated to English terms. Zira means "a heart full of hatred." even as a young lioness I believe she was full of turmoil and envy before her prime years. And meeting scar only solidified what they both are.
And wasn't Scar originally named Taka? ... That basically means Trash. Wow some African names gotta suck if your parents can peg ya day 1.

At the end of The Lion King 2, I always liked to think that at that very last second before Zira fell, that she might have actually considered Kiara's help, but she was too late.
Except she originally said “Never” but they cut it later, which is a shame. I don’t know how that is viewed with suicide. Just seemed like a very stubborn lion to me.
This is probably one of my favorite Disney movies and I still own the VHS and would watch it constantly as a kid. This was a Disney sequel done right.

Maybe she was good before Scar, but he made her completely evil. "Lions of the Outlands" (The Lion Guard, season 1 episode) shows that she doesn't respect the Circle of Life, and suggests lions are better than all the other animals and that they should rule by any means necessary, including fear and tyranny.

This is one of those things that could've been added in the remake.
Since Scar is based on not only Claudius from "Hamlet," but also Macbeth (was said/believed to become the next king, went power crazy, and got killed in the end by someone who used to be close to him).
And Zira is definitely based on Lady Macbeth (if she lived and swore revenge).
She was disgusted with Kovu for “killing his brother” yet all she wanted was for him to be like Scar….

Yeah, Neevkl_7. I heard about that, too. I even saw a video here, using the original storyboard animation. Apparently, when Kiara offered her paw & said, "I'll help you", Zira glanced down at the river & smiled maniacally. She looked back at Kiara & replied, "Never!" Then, she used her back feet to drag herself downward, making herself fall to her death in the river.
***** A part of me wants to believe she survived, too. When I was a kid, I thought she'd come back in a third movie, & that it might be a story of redemption. Now, that new Disney Channel show, "The Lion Guard", throws off so much about the "Simba's Pride" timeline.
***** I know. I don't count it, either. I mean, it's cute & all...but no. The only way I would've accepted "The Lion Guard" would be if Kion was Kovu & Kiara's son. At first, when they originally started airing the commercials, that's what I thought it was about.

Elsička They said in the 2nd movie scar was not kovu's father. Also nuka and vitani refer to him as scar, so he's definetly not the father of any of them.

I actually found an interesting fan comic about how Zira came to be. It basically explained that Sarabi accepted Mufasa's death and she encouraged Scar to accept a group of lionesses who had lost their king, including Zira (though personally, I think this would have only happened if the group INCLUDED the male and then Scar killed said male.) Zira wasn't the queen in her previous pride and noticed that Sarabi was losing the favor of Scar so after Nala left the Pridelands, she convinced him to make her his new queen, thus resulting in the births of Nuka and Vitani (Kovu I get into on your video about him.) Scar may have been a tyrannical ruler, but Zira was shown to be just as (if not more) manipulative. The comic didn't go into her exile because it dealt with Scar's reign, but considering the fact that the cub at the end of the first movie was obviously male, I think it's likely that she killed Simba's first cub (which as you pointed out on your video about Kopa, would also explain his overprotectiveness of Kiara.)
As far as your theories go, they make sense, but I think Zira wanted Kiara in the picture. As for why Nuka reacted the way he did, I think there were certain things Zira only told Kovu and Vitani because she was concerned Nuka would open his big mouth to brag about it. After all, what better way to get close to and eventually kill the current king than through his daughter? Zira didn't foresee Kovu actually falling in love with Kiara, but I do think that she likely emphasized the importance of Kovu getting closer to Kiara in gaining Simba's trust. I also think that the manipulation was mutual. Zira realized that manipulating Scar would put her in the position of power she always desired but in turn didn't realize how much Scar was corrupting her. While I do believe she was always manipulative, I don't think that she was truly evil the entire time. I think she felt threatened by the presence of Sarabi and Nala (both of whom are noticeably bulkier than her) so she used her newfound favor with Scar to her advantage, eventually adopting ALL of his ideals (including killing.)
Maybe Zira was an orphaned cub who was taken in among Mufasa's pride and was mocked, teased, and bullied by the other lions for not being good enough to be the best in hunting. Because of this, she desired more purpose in her life than just hunting and becomes bitter rivals with Nala and her friends. During Scar's reign, Scar saw Zira's potential and swayed her and the lionesses in Zira's circle to join his side. Then, Scar and Zira became inseparable lovers. They did everything to ensure that Scar's laws are enforced. They had Nuka and adopted two orphaned cubs, Vitani and Kovu, the latter who was chosen to be Scar's heir. It didn't last forever because Simba overthrew his uncle and becomes the rightful king of the Pridelands. Zira insulted Simba that he is not meant to be king because Scar chose Kovu to be the next king. Simba told her and her pride that Scar is never the real king and instead of listening to reason, Zira attacked Simba, but he won quickly. In the end, he banished her and her pride forever.

After hearing you explain her side of story, I honestly sympathize with Zira. And, I too, think that if Scar hadn't taken advantage of her, she would be different.
All the lion king villains are the best Disney villains (in my opinion) also in the scene at 5:12 if you look closely Zira is smiling while falling to her death, this is because in a deleted scene, she says "no, never" before falling to her death, and then lets go, i thought that was interesting, i don't think Zira is evil, i think she just wants to be apart of something.
The evil lions look way cooler then the good ones. Zira, Scar etc are so much more badass looking.

Nuka and Vitani are Scar and Ziras children Kovu is Ziras child fathner unknown. The reason they did this was to avoid incest between Kovu and Kiara.
It kind of is a moot point in my brain cause Simba and Nala are brother and sister or at best 2nd cousins. The co-directors Roger Allers and Rob Minkof have said that Nalas father is either Mufasa or Scar. But with the lion guard this may become invalid.

I love that idea of Scar manipulating Zira into seeing him as that one who is Always Right About Everything the same way she manipulates her children into thinking the same way about her. It's almost like the writers of TLK 2 were trying to tell us something in how Nuka is portrayed obsessively trying to please his mother (who in which he was manipulated into believing was always right), it's like the writers were hinting Zira's relationship with Scar involved her obsessively trying to please him
Definitely my favourite character from the entire lion king cast. I don't know why but I always go towards the evil ones.. like Regina from OUAT. Anyway, I agree if someone else says that Zira belonged to Mufasa + Scar + Sarabi generation since otherwise she probably woundn't be mating with Scar and stay proud in presenting Kovu as the rightful king..
When I was a kid, it confused the heck out of me when Kovu said that Scar wasn't his father, but Scar was a part of him. I wish that the writers of the movie script did a better job of explaining Zira's connection to Scar or at least how Kovu became connected to Scar since they aren't related.

I honestly think it could go either way. Whether they were twins or not all we know for sure is they are siblings, but they could be twins. They seem very close in age throughout the movie.
There are two theories about this that ive heard and read about. One is that shortly after having Vitani, Zira encountered a rouge nameless male and became pregnant with Kovu. Vitani wasnt very much older then Kovu but for a few months. Now the second one ive heard was that Nala was impregnated by Scar during the time Simba was living with Timon and Pumbaa just before she found him. after the battle between Scar and Simba, she realized she was with cub and bore a baby lioness cub. turning to Zira she gave away the cub so Simba wouldnt judge her. Now to me this theory makes a bit of sense since this was after Scar was killed, Zira was pregnant by another unknown lion, and she was still loyal to the Pride but she didnt know yet of Scar's death.

It would certainly be interesting if Disney could make something that showed Zira's backstory and the pridelands under Scar's rule. I think maybe Sarabi would be a good character to use as a protagonist if they were to make this film.
I watched a lot of vids on this and most of the other ones states that it came from an abusive childhood. It was stated that her father killed her mother and constantly pushed her to become ruthless and bloodlusting, her fathers abuse mixed with her love of scar and his twisted idead is what lead zira to be this way
I wrote a fanfic where zira was scar's wife and instead of her wanting revenge against simba, she wants revenge against the hyenas. But then i added a christmas carol type time travel where scar appears to zira and tells her he never went where the other kings are but to a cold dark and barren place aka hell. Also i made timon the ghost of zira's personal past and pumbaa the ghost of zira's personal present and kopa (simba's son) the ghost of zira's personal future. She was scar’s mate and they had a child (Nuka) and when scar realised she wasn’t a good enough lioness to give him a child (a strong one) so he met nala (just watch the madness of king scar) and they had vitani that’s right! Vitani is scar and nala’s dater! Sometime before Simba came back she found a stranded cube that she named kovo. Scar decided that he would be the strongest child so HE became the ‘chosen one’ then when scar died zira decided to leave. Some time later vitani met Simba’s first born, kopa and fell in love with him. Zira soon realised who he was and killed him when vitani wasn’t looking. This was actually when she was exiled, she left on her own when scar died but she was not to come back after this. This broke vitani’s heat so she grow up with a troubled past and a lost love. Then the 2nd movie came out.....
Btw nala gave vitani away to Zira for many reasons but the mane one being that Zira actually loved scar were as she did not and I’m pretty shore Simba wasn’t all that happy about vitani being born so he MIGHT have told her to get rid of vitani but it’s unlikely

As a person who believes that the existence of evil is an impossibility, of course I don't think Zira is evil, either. Evil as a term has been used to describe negative things that people thought of as meaningless, and that nothing good would come from it. But when you think about it, how is this possible? A person would not act if they did not gain anything from it (which would be good for themselves regardless of whether or not it would hurt others), be it materialistic or mental. It's the same reason why I don't believe in goodness, either. For goodness to exist, there must be selflessness as well, which doesn't exist. When you do a good deed, you might think that you don't gain anything from it, but it simply isn't true; you feel good about yourself. This is in no way a negative thing, some people are fueled by getting what they want while others are fueled by feeling good about themselves. Though, it's not as black and white as I just made it sound. But my point is that Zira can't be evil because she acts to gain something, which is the reason for every conscious action. If Zira was truly evil, she would not gain anything from doing the things she did in any way.
Zira's death is very similar to that of Mufasa in the first movie, so that suggests that it is meant to be tragic. I think the parallel indicates that Zira, like Mufasa, was also betrayed by Scar. It is her hatred, cultivated by Scar's manipulation, that causes her to reject Kiara's help.

For info simba made the Outland the 1st one was called the ephent graveyard not Outland because scar said "a ephent graveyard is to dares for a young prise like you" and simba made it because where would the Lions on scars team live so they call it Outlands and simba made it because he killed scar and zira said "who made the outlands"

One of the things that I've actually come to notice about Zira. She completely has no idea that the hyenas were the ones responsible for scars death. Oddly enough when she's like bullying stealing the watering hole of jasiris clan. It's pretty accurate to understand that she says she has a problem discussing the roar in front of a hyena showing her dislike for them. However part of me believes the reason she dislikes Jasiris clan is probably because she's well aware this clan did not join scar. Along with the fact that if you look up on the wiki page you see she still friends with the hyenas that killed scar even though she probably has no idea. Perhaps if she knew maybe she wouldn't be so bitter to Simba but I can't be sure. It's really kind of hard to tell that but then again I like how the episode did show the accuracy that Lions could be the greatest jerks to Hyena's out there. I mean let's face it most of their conflicts are due to territorial hunting and also killing one another's cubs. But then again I'm fairly certain it's because Jasiri and her clan was not loyal to scar

That's not a bad idea, but there's just one problem with it. Scar had a black mane, but he was the YOUNGER brother. If a lion's mane in those movies darkened with age (as they do in real-life), Mufasa should've had a black mane, too.
Actually, Kovu's mane is dark brown, not black. Scar's mane was pure jet black compared to Kovu's.

Zira was rejected, Scar gave her a purpose. She fought for the one person that made her feel wanted for once. Same with Scar, he was always second. They were a perfect match!
