I noticed you were filming with a gimbal but it was still extremely shaky, did you have lens or balancing issues with it? It can be tricky sometimes to get it completely balanced but even then it should have been a tad bit more fluid
A couple solutions 1. I noticed when I went from my 4/18-105 G with lens stability to a 50mm 1.8 I had some noticeable shake but 99% of it could be removed without extreme warping by warp stabilizer. Maybe invest in a lens with built in stabiliity 2. Practice holding the rig, arms stretched out in front of you, for 2-3 minute intervals. Building up the muscle memory in this position might help with shake caused by your arms while holding it 3. longboard, roller blades, hover board, or a shopping cart (lol) I have used all of these to remove the bounce or potential shake from my shot. If you ever see any higher end creator (namely halcyon) he scoots around the shows on his longboard to get crisp and fluid shots 4. Just do arm workouts alot of the time it comes down to just getting tired as the shoot goes on or even just holding that gear in general. I remember the first time i shot a 30 min live set for a band, my arms were shaking violently afterwards. Build endurance and muscles and it will definetly help Fine tuning the stiffness and deadzones for the gimbal isnt usually the first thing you try and honestly I think they are more for shooting movies, like the traditional definition of that.. Cars dont need as much fine tuning and honestly you can look at some of the bigger creators, they have noticeable wobble in shots here and there. Main thing is to just get the violent shaking removed. 95% of my watchers are on mobile so you can usually not even see the small shakes that I have. Good luck tho
SJ MEDIA no worries. Looks like you have the passion for it but definetly need to improve the camera work. Id be lying if i said my first few projexts were as good as they are now. I did spend lots of time off camera practicing and then shooting vs learning while shooting the video i wanted to release. Just walk around the house or yard and practice a few hours a day and youll notice alot of improvement. But definetly look into if it is your lens as well because even with a ronin you can get alot of shakiness
SJ MEDIA i see this issue alot with the 5-6 new kids with ronins at every show each year and I think alot of them race too quick to get a ronin without making sure the rest of their gear is compatible
I’m back once again to watch this for the like 5th time I’m about to get one so I’m hype
I’ve watched this so many times, it’s too good lol
Love this

AutoMotion Digital I am using a Ronin M I have the balancing down and everything but I’m stuck on trying to figure out the stiffness settings !
