A State of Mind - Maslin Markle

"A State of Mind" is a string quartet originally premiered at the Spring New Music Concert on March 14, 2024 at Baylor University. The quartet is comprised of three movements centered around some common states of the mind. The first movement is "Confusion," second is "Intrusion" and last but not least is "Delusion." There are many more emotions or "states of mind," if you will, that can be captured in music, but these were ones I felt inclined to illustrate (also because all the names rhymed). Let me know in the comments what other emotions you think should be captured in music!
