Before i left my job, my resting heart rate was always 95 or higher. It was a vwry high stress job, and i absolutely was not built to deal with high stress 😂 i left that job and now i do an equally hard but very different job and my heart rate averages about 65-70 on a daily basis.

I think she is referring to the interactions of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system during our respiratory cycle. Our heart rate changes while inhaling, and changes again while exhaling. The difference between those two heart rates is heart rate variability. Heres a quote from a government study defining it. "Heart rate variability (HRV) is a well-established surrogate of cardiac and emotional health that reflects the balance between sympathetic and parasympathetic activity of the autonomic nervous system. " She is saying that if we focus on working our breathing into different patterns, ,it can impact how our body regulates stress hormones and helps lower stress hormone to let go of fat.
