This is the best knife sharpener to hit the market since the original one came out a few years ago. Here is the direct link to buy it on their website: bit.ly/3nicmrU Also, anyone who has questions about the unit or how to get lapping films and plates for the the lapping films just send an email to me at sweetknives2020@gmail.com
Once I get this new system, I look forward to getting your new lapping films. I was close to buying the previous Work Sharp system and glad I waited for the Pro version.
I’ve got to try those lapping films. Right now I’m just using their leather strop. Also, you don’t need to remove the stabilizing piece if you tilt the unit back to flip the blade. I do like this unit so far but just a little disappointed that the blades will wobble a bit even after I lock it in tight. I wish I could fit the blade in a bit further to really grasp it tight. Thanks for the video.
I just bought the Worksharp Precision Adjust Elite on Amazon, this video makes me want to return it and buy the Pro, which I don't think is on Amazon yet.
I Really Want to tank you for taking the time to show how to use this product. I bought mine probably about two to three weeks ago, and I wanted to use it soo badly but at the same time for the price I didn’t want it to screw up any of my knives, hence this is the real deal as far as sharpener goes, once again thank you for this instructional video.
I’m glad they took my idea for the magnetic plate 🤙 would have been nice to get a review unit even do I complained a bit about the older version 😅. I feel this one would have been on my channel a lot 🤷♂️.
I think this is an upgraded version from a year ago or maybe two I can’t remember, I have been thinking on getting one, I remember it used to be around $120-130, it surely increased about $100 dlls.
Just picked this up last week. It's freaking awesome, and a huge upgrade over the original in every way. Worth every penny, and with just moderate practice and time spent watching great videos like this, you'll be blown away by how scary sharp an edge the Professional Precision Adjust system delivers. Really enjoyed this tutorial, thank you!
I was curious, when you placed the knife in the holder you went with a slight angle rather than straight accross an particular reason. Just curious thanks.
How can one verify the angle with a digital angle finder If you don't have the pro system. I am trying and the numbers I see and not matching the numbers on the Work Sharp Precision Adjust .
I've been sharpening on a KME for a couple years. It's a good system for the most part. My one gripe though, has always been the blade clamp. Sometimes it would hold good, other times it would let the knife slip around some. I am wondering if this design might "lock up" that blade a little better?
Very nice video. You helped me to decide between the Pro and the original. My Pro Presicion Adjust just came in today! Gotta pick the perfect "break-in knife." Hmm. My ol' pappy's Cattaraugus 225Q should be perfect. Will sharpen this bad boy tomorrow. Then on to my Buck 119.
A lot of folks miss how the digital angle instrument works. It needs to be zero'd in relation to the base. It needs to be placed on the same surface as the base of the sharpener, facing front/rear in the same direction as the sharpener. All it does it measure the difference between the base and the arm to read out the angle. Even if the surface the sharpener is setting on isn't perfectly level, as long as the digital instrument is placed on the same surface, facing the same way, when put on the arm it will tell you the correct angle between the base and the arm. It won't make a huge difference if the surface the sharpener is on is level in all directions, but if it's off even a little bit, and the instrument isn't zero'd properly, the reading won't be accurate.
I hope they make diamond serrated sharpener at some point. Ceramic is good for honing. Yes I find a serrated blade useful at times if cutting plastic, cordage, etc.
As soon as I seen you posting this I knew you came up with a way to deploy lapping film. I agree 100% this system is incredible, not that the original was a slouch. This system ad far ax ease of operation and eventually a universal stone carriage puts it right up there will all thr other elite systems and a much lower cost. Great video showing it in action.
Looks good, just wish they did this first time around before i spent about another £100 plus making the old version useable.Ill probably buy this too though🤣
The stones come a little rougher than I expected so anyone watching I recommend not sharpening your good knives right off the rip , sharpen some cheaper ones first break in the stones
Can’t wait to see more videos on this. I’m upgrading from the original system. I tried to buy one today but the website was messed up all day. Hopefully tomorrow 🤞🏼
@@originsmaster8140 Yeah I was lucky enough to be able to get one! The website almost times out on me again as soon as I added it to my cart. I can’t wait to try it and see how much of an upgrade it is over the original one
@@CDubLDD it actually timed out on me twice with the item in my cart and I had 3 devices trying to get one. At the end none worked and the one that worked was the instagram link that opened the instagram browser. It worked first try but at the 24 minute mark. At first I was worried but then it was still available for almost 10 more minutes after that. I think that people saw the error code and assumed that the site was permanently crashed again and just left. And that relieved the stress on the site just enough for the rest of the people to fight over those units.
Even with thicker plates, you can still easily get the correct angle with this system, because it comes with its own angle finder. If you jump between plate thicknesses you will, of course, need to adjust the screws, but it is still easy to find the angle you want and match it between the plates.
This looks like a hi-tech version of the Lansky system that I couldn't get to work. Gave it to my stepson and he wasn't able to get a knife sharp either. The Ken Onion with a grinding wheel seems like the way to go for me. Bavarian didn't work, nor the smith clone pull-thru.
Been thinking about getting a few of those for Christmas presents this year. Take a close look at the heel of that blade, you'll notice that Benchmade is up to their usual shenanigans, pulling off the belt grinder a bit too fast and leaving a more obtuse angle. Usually only see it on one side though, and here they've managed to do it on both sides.
I finally was able to use mine for the first time a saying it is extremely easy to use is a understatement, now the only with this video is you don’t have remove the table brace every time you flip the blade
First they said to buy their belt sharpener. Then they said to buy the Ken onion bc it fixes all the problems with the other one. Not long after they said to really get it right you should buy the belt grinder attachment so the Ken onion will work better. All of a sudden you don't need any of that stuff, you need our Precision Adjust sharpener. This really is the one. But it wasn't so you spent mire money on 3d printed parts to fix all the flaws. Worksharp to the rescue with the Elite Precision Adjust Sharpener. This is really really the one you need. It upgrades the one that was the one and now this is the one. Then they gave your maxed out credit card a break for a minute so you could forget everything else they told you for years and buy the PRO PRECISION ADJUST SHARPENER. We swear. This really really is the very last one. Just 300 more of your hard earned dollars. Put the last 1290.00 of stuff we sold you on ebay and give us 300 more.
Well, this one is a good unit, and Work Sharp is trying to make things better. I definitely think this one is a good buy if you can save up the money. Probably wont have to buy another sharpener ever again after this one. Hey, check out the results, they are fantastic - th-cam.com/video/42Zn3qOvaag/w-d-xo.html
You kept missing the heel every time you had the handle away from you ,your bevels would turn out better iff you were a little more consistent with you sharpening. Just my observation
3 times less than the most expensive wicked edge. You can get get a good wicked edge setup for about $200 more than this. Really the only advantage a wicked edge has over this and most other systems is that you can do both sides of the edge simultaneously without having to flip the knife over. Either one will give you great results
Do you really need to remove the stabilizing block to rotate the knife? That seems like a massive oversight. Similarly, it LOOKS like the "spine" doesn't lock into place when that block is in place, but is that really the case?
I don’t think he has to take out the block…in fact, at the 16:32 mark, he forgot it was there and just tilted the tower back & flipped the knife without moving it. You can buy a full set of the 3M lapping films in 8x10 sheets for about $15 and cut them to size yourself and save yourself a ton of money.
For those that have a Wicked Edge you do not need this new Work Sharp PA, but for those that have neither I would probably recommend this one with the lapping films as its a lot less expensive. Both are good systems.
@@Sweetknives I was able to in touch with someone from Worksharp, and they said that they will be coming out with a case for it along with some additional accessories.
6 stones, full metal tower not plastic, added the 45degree latch so u can turn the knife in the tower, angle meter, the support brace so no bend and the pen knives table attachment so u can sharpen pen knives. I have the original system and im upgrading ✌️ hope that helps
@@AyooJake i like my OG version but i am a perfectionist and the plastic doesn’t have the rigidity like this one does plus those 6” plates really take metal off like crazy so id buy this for the plates being twice the size and the solidness of it cuz the flex of the plastic does change the angle unfortunately
@@thewalterbraese Thats fair. the new stones are really nice looking. and i hear ya on the flex of the og one its very annoying even with the brace its just not as strudy as it should be.
I'm amazed at how much faster the whole thing goes with the pro vs the OG. My take is if you're really tight for money, you can certainly do well with the OG, but if you can swing it, the Pro is definitely worth it. Um, anyone interested in my OG? :)

The best one? Better than a kadet pro?
You’re missing the back portion of the blade by the choil.
OH C'MON!! I just bought one a few months back..now THIS? Yeah, I'll get one, duh! Thanks for the time man. Top Shelf every time.

I feel like screaming to get the heal on the show side! Lol. That spot that didn’t get much love drives me crazy! Nice vid besides my ocd going nuts!
I hear you... :)

You can see the angle change closer to the knife tip. Probably worth readjusting for that part of the knife.

I will definitely be a buyer when you make a lapping film plate! I hope worksharp makes a 1200 grit diamond stone.
Thinking is similar. Wondering g if one could just buy an extra diamond plate and flip it over and tape film to the smooth side?

Works great on about half my knives. Convex not included but I either do those by hand or use my Ken Onion edition sharpener for those blades.
What size knife would be the max you could use this system for? Could it handle say an Esee 6 or Jungulas?
