Thanks BG. I tell everyone that this is my MTH Happy Song, and yes must see if you get a chance - they did a few European dates last year and people come from all over. A unique experience. Fingers crossed for new material.
Totally agree. I saw them in London last year. I was at the front and when they did this song, the crowd when wild. We were all doing the actions. I thought Babymetal at Hammersmith Odeon was intense. MTH took it up several levels. Check out the rock festivals in Japan, Summer Sonic or Fuji Rocks.
Saw them for a mini concert during a festival in january this year here in Japan. Apart from the band itself it was just incredible to see how the crowd, from 14 yos up to businessmen were into it and knew the choregraphy of each and every song! Truly the first concert in my life I felt THE POWER !!
This song is one of Maximum the Hormone's most integrated pieces, seamlessly blending different genres, and it's also a fun track. In my opinion, that's the ideal song to start with. While their other songs also skillfully blend different genres and styles, they can be surprising at first. Unless you understand the lyrics and context, it can be hard to shake the impression that they are deliberately eccentric. As for MtH's lyrics, they are largely unintelligible even to Japanese listeners. However, the general meaning and context can be somewhat grasped, which complements the understanding of the song. The reason the lyrics are unintelligible is that their priority is to create sounds that are pleasant to the ear. As part of this, lyrics that sound like English are intentionally crafted.
They are an interesting band for sure, never fail to amuse, amaze and entertain.
thats why i went to 4 of their 5 european shows last year, who knows might never get a chance again.
I'M SO JEALOUS, FUCK.
Nice one. I went to the London gig, best gig for many many years, awesome band

これは完全に下ネタの歌詞でめちゃくちゃ面白いし、本当歌詞がよく出来てる!!歌詞は笑えるのに、曲はノリ良くて最高ー
