The good thing about Florida is that usually the storms pass quickly. Glad you were able to see the refuge and spot some beautiful birds even if the weather wasn't perfect.
At the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, there is an abundance of nature and wildlife to observe. Additionally, the sanctuary is a popular spot for bird watching and to date 358 species have been identified here. Black Point Wildlife Drive is a 7-mile self-guided car tour where you'll have the opportunity to see birds, alligators and other wildlife. Plus, the refuge is a great spot for saltwater anglers, and there are six hiking trails waiting for you to explore. Nice Video. Thanks for sharing. Greetings From Indonesia.

Thomas this was a great location, I’m so glad you recommended it. Thanks for helping me out with the bird identification. If you ever want to do some rail trails in New England let me know. I have a few suggestions. Take care!
When it rains, it pours!! Did make some great sightings. I guess one doesn't go swimming in that area...yikes, gators. Good to see the storm passing by. Great area to explore for sure! Bruce and Otis
Bruce and Otis, I'm with you watch your toes when walking near the water. I don't want any surprises. I was happy to watch the antics of some of those birds. Does Otis like birds?
That was a neat visitor center and with the location in the middle of trails it was really neat. Wow that was one heck of a storm but it was nice that you have that option to drive around and look at wildlife until the rain passes. You saw so many different birds that was a photographers dream then oh my a gator! That really was a great trail ! So nice of you doing shout outs! We may visit Florida next year so we will keep watching for ideas! Nice video!
This refuge was a pleasant surprise. It was such a different experience from the adjacent Canaveral National Seashore. I was blown away by the birds. If you get to Florida, you could spend a couple of days here if you added in the space center and St Augustine. I also recommend Everglades National Park. Keep Rambling!
Yes all those stops sound great we always try to make the national parks when we are in an area. Thanks hopefully one day we will see you Just Ramblin Around. We are thinking of a Cruise next July out of Florida just haven't decided which port yet. Thx for the info!

I have spent enough time in Florida to know that is true. However, those afternoon t-storms can pack quite a punch.
Great video! Glad the storm passed so you could get to see the wildlife! I am looking forward to watching more of your videos.
That’s Florida, big storms that come and go. Thanks for watching!

@@OutdoorsWithJohnUSA Otis really doesn't pay too much attention to the birds...unless it is the Christmas turkey! LOL

Florida Rain: resistance is futile.
I normally don’t get bit that much in Connecticut. They certainty were relentless in Florida.
