Consider this one experimental - the fly is only as durable as the Zap-a-Gap bond between your lead and the hook. If the bead gets caught between a couple of rocks, my guess is that the glue bond won't survive an aggressive attempt to free it. If durability is an issue for you, finish the fly by lifting the back section and laying down a thread base and dam to pin the lead, and thus the bead, forward. The fly won't look as good, but life is full of compromises.
