Your videos are so enjoyable. I have struggled with squirmy worm materials. They literally get destroyed by most glues. The thread bed and that thread trick to pull it thru the head is a game changer. Now I can't wait to tye these now. Soooo many color options with different beads and worm material. THANK YOU for restoring my confidence. Nick in Redfield Arkansas
Nice work, @Makflies , great trick with the thread through the bead. I noticed you didn't use your usual UV laser! I have also gone with the regular UV light when tying with squirmy material. I've found that the laser can actually 'melt' the material. Great stuff!
A very interesting video, thanks for sharing it with us. I tie a very similar "fly" however I just use a red rubber band because it costs virtually nothing catches plenty of fish and it's very durable.
OK!! Thanks video... I really like the Squirmy Worm, but its durability isn't great. The ones I've tied keep becoming soft and breaking apart. Is there a way to make them more durable?
Great video! Interesting tying ideas. I had been cautioned in use of super glue & UV resins on squirmy worm material. Apparently it will deteriorate the material?
@@waynesnelley3900 I use Loctite super glue but have avoided it on this material because I have heard that it deteriorates the material… I will give it a try
Merry Christmas 🎉 MAK !!!!!
Thank You for sharing Your Artform for another year with Me !! GOD Bless You.

@@nicholasdeluca3580 thank you so much, I am glad you liked it, ☺️☺️☺️☺️
I really like the way that looks with the bead versus just wrapping the worm with thread.

Very clever way to tie the squirmy. Thank you Mak 👍🎣

@@Makflies Thanks for replying, good luck.
Regular fly tying UV resins will crack after a short period oftime. Loon's UV Knot Sense is more pliable and lasts longer.

@@50Squirrel thank you sir. I don’t think it will deteriorate the material ☺️☺️
@@Makflies I don't use glue on squirmy worms I have found that various glues and resins will dissolve the material. I whip finish.
@@scottasbill6094 TO BE honest I do the same, I lock the bead with thread :)
Try Locite super glue.

Cool way to make a squirmy. But if you skipped the uv part, then you can actually replace the material after the fish " tear it up"!!
@@sigurdurmarolafsson4183 thank you friend, I actually do that for myself, it’s just for the video I have added uv☺️☺️
