My father died of dementia. The moment at the beginning with Barry, looking around confused and frustrated is exactly how a person with dementia would do it. Every part of it, shaking his head, touching the wall, walking away in restrained anger. And then standing in the middle of the room with your hand shaking. I saw my dad do that so many times not remembering why he went into a room, becoming frustrated trying to figure it out. Looking helpless, the way his hand shook. Grant is hitting every note correctly here. I revisited this scene just to see if what I remembered was accurate, and now I just can’t stop crying. The show got too real in this episode.
You know, Cecile can be a good character if she just stops talking about other people's feelings to the audience. Here she deals with the situation really well. She knows exactly what Barry feels, doesn't need to say it out loud and tries to just calm Barry down and let him put away what he's feeling. THAT is how you write people who can feel emotions of others. You make them subtle and empathetic.
Cecile, the supportive character who is mature and helps Barry and the team cope with their emotions is a nice character. Cecile, the empath who constantly tells people what they are feeling and constantly overacts when overwhelmed with emotions, is very annoying. Its a pity that they default to the latter so often during the show.
I'm with your dad in this one. I don't understand why you cryin either and I've watched every season 15 different times both arrow and flash and black lighting that is. Everyone else I didn't care about unless it was a crossover. It wasn't that sad because you know they have to end the season and season nine coming so they wouldn't make him lose him memories of everyone he cares about and how would nora have been in the last episode or have a wife. I'm jus ready to see how it ends completely.

They overlooked him to play The Flash in the movie the first time. The good news, is that rebooting a character without changing the whole universe is not unprecedented. It’s a shame Ezra Miller are such terrible people, but Grant is The Flash we can believe in.
i mean he's a different flash from a different universe so putting him in the dc universe wouldn't really make sense at all since that flash is different from him

it would be more authentic if there was actually any mention of Barry connecting with Cecile aside from saving lives through the sage force. Cecile just feels like another Speed force mom who intervenes when Barry is acting out or needs a power boost. Barry is completely uninvolved with the baby she had with Joe. we don't need it in screen time. big flop in today's television is time transitions don't include any mention of time spent among team members because they don't decide that it should have happened until that episode.
Honestly, scenes like this with Joe have been done to death, and Cecile is quite alright in this scene. She reciprocates the emotions portrayed by Barry, in turn strengthening the emotional response intended from audiences, as she acts as a reflection to what we should be feeling during the scene, without announcing it ,as she always does. This episode was directed beautifully, from start to end.
The whole season 8 barry’s rock has been Ms Cecile Horton because every turn every twist in barry character she was there to pull him out and show him that he is greater and that he is the flash

I know this was a filler episode, but the actors really carried. Especially Singh’s and Joe’s scene.

For some reason I'm getting a flashback to Specter Oliver talking about the power of memories and connection.
