I like how you can actually see Barry’s development in this scene. It’s obvious that Barry’s learned from his mistakes of Flashpoint and when he didn’t try hard enough to stop Caitlin from helping Deathstorm out.
I wish he wouldn’t have literally erupted into a lightning storm. That was harsh especially to destroy everything right in front of her. He could have just taken everything and locked it away. She was already in a low state and he just made it worse

@@samstone69 I mean because of similar stuff she is doing right now just cost frost her life it’s one thing to try and support or try things like this but Caitlin literally just made deathstorm from an exact same decision and she is doing something similar again in fact basically the same just because she can’t overcome her grief she is trying to play god again. @@dunelone9840 you’re absolutely right. Tbh, this whole thing is Caitlyn’s fault (inadvertently). And in her grief (understandably) she’s not really making the best decisions. He's smart and when he uses his head he does good stuff and when he doesn't use his brain he f's up. Frost was already a creation from an experiment. There was only good that could have come from allowing her to do it. Either creating another Frost, or Caitlyn failing and finding peace.
Barry made the right choice. He knows exactly what is going on in her mind. He can relate to her. And because it's one of his best friends he doesn't want her to regret her decision of making a super villain. Just shows that Barry has learned from his mistakes.
It was an EVIL choice. Who the fuck are you are anyone else to decide what a person can or cannot work on. Frost was literally a creation from an experiment to begin with. This was the single most off character action they wrote for Flash, this was more what the reverse flash would have done.
@@bruhmanofyear2647 It was an evil thing to do as Frost was not a normal person. She was created artificially and the Flash is not fucking God, to direct other peoples lives. @@DrForse I completely agree that it is possible to bring frost back but if they did it definitely wouldn’t be the same frost if anything I’d probably be more like killer frost if like Caitlin says they’re basing it off of all of frosts original DNA and I don’t see how adding frosts hair would suddenly make her not killer frost. Barry did this because he has done everything in his power to bring back the ones he loves. And the multiverse as well as the timeline almost payed the price for it
It's apples and Oranges though. Barry literally altered time which had run on effects a la the butterfly effect. Caitlyn is trying to literally just bring someone back using real world means that don't disrupt literal space time.
@@imperfectmyst but i was disappointed at the ending, i mean i thought she made a trap for Barry or have frost's bf to frozen Barry. So that way, they can their plan happened
Yeah I looked back at the old season and noticed that when Barry runs, his lightning trail looks low quality as back then, but CGI for other things is high quality
Wow this scene was so well acted you really feel the pain in Caitlin eyes and the remorse from Barry destroying it for her own good plus the lightning special effects looks so good
Imagine when she tries to split the frost personality out of her, we get Killer Frost instead of the normal frost, like the remaining piece of frost that’s inside Caitlin is a villainous version of frost, so we can finally have the comic accurate Killer Frost
Barry tries to bring his mum and dad back, creates flashpoint then subsequently creates savatar who nearly kills iris. Caitlyn tries to bring back Ronnie and results in deathstorm… I really don’t know what Caitlyn is thinking here but bringing back the dead in this universe always creates a super villain.
Reviving of Sara Lance created one more superhero which fought immortal, speedster, demons, Fates, androids and even aliens. Also, she was the paragon. Are you sure about that? XD
@@heyyoptapwi8098 she was brought back by the Lazarus pit, which routinely results in those brought back to loose their humanity, with Sara often being unable to control her bloodlust and assassin training resulting in her murdering people as well as attacking friends… so yup, even with Sara it created a monster that she struggled to control.
@@Swampert919 i agree but anyway, with Constantine help she was able to fight the bloodlust and did great amout of good things later. Like, why Frost wouldn't have a second chance? It isn't same as Barry case, Caitlin wouldn't screw up the timeline with her actions.
@@heyyoptapwi8098 frost already got a second chance, she saved the universe with it. My point was more frost died directly because of caitlyn tried to bring back Ronnie creating deathstorm, then tries to use Barry’s parents as an excuse to justify bringing her back despite that resulting in Cisco’s brother, and HR’s death, as well as nearly killing iris. It just seems really uncharacteristically stupid to try and resurrect a loved one that died because of your last attempt at resurrecting a loved one. And Barry was fully right shutting her down like this (she’ll still do it though cause these characters never seem to learn their lesson).
Caitlin has lost it. She’s grieving and can’t get past the denial and Barry can see that. He knows that she’s gonna be pissed at him and it’s probably going to fracture their relationship for a while but it’s what he had to do to make sure Caitlin didn’t do something she would end up regretting
I love this scene and how Barry’s power has expanded. I also love how his eyes are just now orange with the speed force flowing. It looks like when naruto first archived sage mode

Poor Caitlin endured the most grief than anyone else in the series. She lost her fiancé, her mentor (Wells), Jay, and Killer Frost… such a well-developed and strong character
Remove Jay and Wells please. They were evil speedsters and they both killed one of Barry's parents. Because her mentor was Thawne. Not too hard to get over the loss of 2 serial killers. Ronnie and Frost yeah. Those are heartbreaking.
2:13-2:23 The music feels super Reverse Flash-esque, like when Barry and Nora confronted him in Season 5. The fact that we couldn't see Barry's face gave me chills too!
@@motlalepulasello8775 Of course! She bought up his loved ones but he's annoyed because she already did this with deathstorm and it lead to Frost dying so she's bound to repeat the same cycle and like Kratos says "the cycle ends here"
I am gonna say it: Caitlin has completely lost it. She is still grieving and not seeing or thinking clearly. Barry had to destroy the lab because he knew she might end up doing something she might regret like with the whole Deathstorm thing
Messing with life and death- always leads to bad things happening. Even if you rule over that power- even if you can bring someone back truly from the dead- deep down you’ll feel like something is off. And that’s because it is. Bringing someone who was dead, back to life, disrupts balance. Barry knows this all to well.
Sara tried to revive Oliver using Constantine but Oliver was a completely different person and then he died again. I mean Caitlin can try to revive Frost but how is she gonna know that Frost will be the same person they know and loved before her death or if she's gonna be back to Killer Frost taking innocent lives?
That Barry failed at something once doesn't mean Caitlin would too. Plus, Barry supposedly created Gideon, an artificial consciousness, which seems to me not so far from Frost. Caitlin was sure that the science would work, and if Barry was aware of any consequences that Caitlin wasn't, he should have explained rather than destroying her work abruptly.
This scene was so well acted I love how you can really feel the sadness in Caitlin and the pain in Barry ad he had to stop his friend from doing something reckless
It’s been a while since The Flash has surprised me this much! I’m glad to see it’s doing better, and the CGI is just amazing! This is one of the best seasons of The Flash in a while!
ngl somehow im getting that vibe from this episode's ending.. like caitlin said what if there is still pieces of frost inside of her, so theres a possibility either they revive frost or something triggers the piece of frost and give caitlin powers
When Caitlin mentioned brining Barry Mom back that was the moment Barry was looking at Caitlin as Eobard Thawne a villain and not a member of team flash also notice at 04:30 half of Caitlin's face has a darker side foreshadowing the possibility of Caitlin becoming evil killer frost
The show needs more well written moments like this, with Barry being the leader he is meant to be, not held back by pointless side characters and storylines.
Horrendous scene and one of the many reasons why the shows ratings kept falling. This was not an action the flash would have taken, this was a reverse flash move. An evil move, by a dictator telling others how they can live as if they control everyone's destiny.

I'm with Barry on this one everybody on the team has lost somebody and they all have to move on and barry just save Caitlin from crossing a line she can't uncross

My god, this is so tragic and yet so awesome to look at. Amazing scene to end on. They really upped their game again in season 8 and I am so glad for that. I can only reiterate how I probably haven't been THIS giddy about the show since the season 3 days.
I know Barry just wanted to make sure Caitlin doesn’t end up doing something she’d regret as she just literally went through the same thing with Deathstorm & it cost her sister, but I don’t know… I understand completely why Barry acted the way he did but despite his good intentions that seemed a bit of an extreme move to make on one of your best friends, especially when their not in the best mind-space. Maybe he could had a team intervention first with everyone trying to convince her this isn’t the way to handle her grief and that Frost probably wouldn’t want her to do this. I know that move will both most likely put a big dent in their friendship & come back and bite him in the ass… as I think that just made Caitlin more determined and will send her to a point where she definitely won’t be able to come back from.
Thanks for saying it, I was suffering reading the comments 💔 I think Barry was very rude to Cait, she is his best friend, he could have treated her better than that...

2:21 dam that head raise said everything. Jeez man this episode was so good. Amazing acting specially this part and also Barry being scared of being old and forgetting stuff. I just hope Caitlyn doesn’t become a villain cuz she knows better
Like wanda maximoff says “When you break the rules, you become a hero. I did and i became the enemy, it doesn’t seem fair” Barry have the chance to try save his parents. Why Caitlin can’t do this too?
Because Barry doesn't want Caitlin to go in the direction that Barry was going after Henry's death. Barry doesn't want Caitlin to ignore the signs. Did read & knew that after my research but it was a different Frost & her real name wasn’t Caitlin Snow. There were 3 Killer Frost versions as far as I know.
So I’m guessing this is why the writers continued to have horrible things happen to Caitlin, and NEVER let her be happy- so that she would finally be so desperate and depressed and ALONE, that she turns FULL baddie aka Killer Frost.

Barry has a strong point sometimes you have to move on in life when we lose people because at the end of the day we have to be living for them start over a new chapter
Im just going to say it and I don’t care. It’s Caitlin’s fault that Frost is dead. If Caitlin and Frost would’ve listen to Barry about the black flame was not Ronnie, just some mind trick the flame was doing, Frost would still be alive. She needs to start listening to Barry but he experienced pain more than she did. Both of his parents were killed by speedsters right in front of him, and he wasn’t in terms with their deaths till he created flashpoint and was happy that they’re alive in that timeline and till Jay made him realize that what he did, changed his family and friends’ lives as well. So I hope that she listens to Barry and she doesn’t turn into a villain bc i love their friendship.
I really want her to embrace the killer frost this time. A full on villain. Let her be the final villain for the next season. And don’t give her a redemption arc. Make her a tragic villain. The Flash needs to start take more creative risks. Especially with the show coming to an end. I thought for sure at the end her eyes were gonna glow or something to represent the fact that she had already succeeded and just needed to separate her and Frost.
By taking the path of destruction and just leaving her afterwards, he backed her into a corner. Now she will do something even more reckless and more people will get hurt. If he were written better, he would have taken Caitlin to her Mom and gotten the team together for an intervention.

What the hell was this scene, Barry has no reason to be this much against Catlin's plan, he saw the last time she got shot with the gun and all it did then was make a new body for her alter ego, there's absolutely no risk here, what does barry thing she's gonna do human testing in random people until it works or something? Not to mention destroying everything is completely a ridiculous overstep in this situation, at most he can be cautious or not want ruin Frost's sacrifice but destroying everything in her apartment because she wants to save her sister? Wtf??? What ground does he even have to preach moving on? This is the guy that's entire superhero identity was based around hunting down the person who killed his mom and saving his dad, two people he never got over and to this day still haunt him, not to mention actively hunted for Zoom for killing his dad rather than take his own advice and move on, also the same guy that created flashpoint to live with his mom again that died 17 years prior, spent the better part of a year trying to change Iris' fate because he didn't want to loose her and nearly 10 years later in the future never got over it, not to mention wrecked havoc on the timeline trying to do so and later on risked making a second flashpoint to see if the future with his kids existed still tho it would have ramifications on their future in the process. All this because Barry never moves past his grief because it's everything regarding his character, his character is shaped by the grief he never deals with seeing even now he still hates thawne with passion. And now he's gonna shut down catlin trying to save her sister because she can't process her grief and needs to? Are you serious?? Mind you unlike the last 40 times he's screwed up the timeline trying to avoid his grief catlin isn't doing anything regarding time travel, meaning this is supposed to be how history plays out, there's no risk and no reason to be against it, hell it'd probably do team flash some good to have frost back considering they've been even more incompetent since she died This is exactly why I gave up on CW drama, it's all completely nonsensical and borderline bs, and now it's coming out the ass end of character assassination more and more, just a couple episodes ago we had Barry I Won't Kill Anyone Even Thawne Allen deciding on a dime to just kill Ronnie because Cecil thought he wanted to die simply because she could read that he didn't feel good and Catlin was obviously against it for sensible reasons, not that they tried to contact ronnie again and find out how to help him nope Cecil heard his voice say a few words about freeing him and was convinced he wanted to die alright let's go and then spent trying to convince ronnie's freaking wife to help them kill him, mind you the guy that said this once "I won't kill anyone, not even a gorilla" mind you to save billions of people and wouldn't kill the two people that murdered both of his parents All this will lead to is catlin leaving the show or going dark and then leaving or dying somehow Next episode it's gonna be all Barry's mad she didn't tell him what she was doing, she'll reply "well I didn't think I needed to" or "like you told me how you were gonna do something that killed my sister" they're gonna have drama sessions and it'll end with her leaving star labs one way or another, predictable, character assassination founded and petty drama, one side is made out to be the bad guy and the other is meant to have a halo on their head, probably barry with the halo and catlin getting drug through the mud Also thanks if you actually read the whole thing lol

Me too
You are right this is HER fault. Period
Dude, Ronnie was her husband didn't forget that
@@irinashidou9725 yea i didn’t forget that. I was shocked that he was killed in season 2. At least she came in terms with his death and moving on.
The look on her face during that explosion tells you you effed up
I really want her to embrace the killer frost this time.
This should happen! Point black period.
Frost should not be the final villain 😭
@@aannggee11 fr how lame
Absolutely
By taking the path of destruction and just leaving her afterwards, he backed her into a corner. Now she will do something even more reckless and more people will get hurt. If he were written better, he would have taken Caitlin to her Mom and gotten the team together for an intervention.
Tbh, it's actually interesting seeing something more unhinged like this happen vs the typical get everyone together to talk it out. This scene as a result will be way more memorable as it is now.
@@AnbuPrincess what if she still continues with the whole bring frost back after the team meeting ?
@@malikmartin8755 I've seen people say this could be her Killer Frost origin story without the split personality. I know they've done so many different origins with her as KF already but it's just more engaging seeing a different dynamic in the team and seeing what becomes of it.
These actors are very talented. Just look at her eyes. Her grief has overwhelmed her. There is no talking her out of this. Interventions would have done nothing. The only thing that would have worked would be to detain her. Barry did the right thing. It was a dick move but it was the right thing.
Those won’t work lmfao she literally just did the exact same thing with DEATHSTORM several people tried to warn her but she ain’t even listen and that’s the reason frost is dead right now and the crazy thing is she went back to do the same damn thing and play God. Barry and the rest earned her several times before deathstorm happened she didn’t listen Barry tried to talk to her but it was clear how adamant and half-crazy she sounds and for her to say what if he could bring his parents back? That’s even the most stupid as he made a flashpoint and paid the price grieving doesn’t you give you the right to screw people over after all due to her bringing deathstorm into this world several people died and they didn’t even have corpses
Barry is doing the right thing though caitlin doesn't like it. He understands that when people die they can't be resurrected once they are gone. He doesn't want caitlin to feel what he feels yes he did save his mom but look what happened he lost his parents again plus iris almost paid the price for his decision. He doesn't want caitlin to exerience his pain because he has lost a lot in his life and he knows that if she does this and it doesn't go well and people get hurt she could never forgive herself.
Yeah yeah can't be resurrected right yeah *coughs in flashpoint because mommy and daddy are dead and I'm sad*
actually since it wasn’t too long ago since frost died
it wouldn’t ruin time if he went back in time and saved frost
@@Huff-Productions he also explained that Barry has felt that and doesn’t want Caitlin to feel like that yes Barry created flashpoint but he had to pay the price for it and he’s trying to prevent that Samething from happening to Her
Didn't Barry bring Joe back in the beginning of the season.
o it okay to protect his wife and future children etc from pre ordain death but not for his friends family or lovers lol
I absolutely love this. For 1) Barry did the right thing and Caitlin needs to move on no matter how hard it is. Is she really that blind right now what Barry did 5-6 years ago and how effed up things were cause of Flashpoint? And 2) Barry just able to use lightning like that and the other things he has been able to do with lightning this season is amazing
moving on could take weeks and months grief doesn't have a deadline plus we're all forgetting caitin has officially lost it the more they try and stop her the more villainous she'll become instead caitlin needs to be sat down and deeply talked to maybe even a support group, this is what happens when you don't deal with emotions in a healthy way, and when others foil your plan, the more sad and angry she'll be loosing a love one hurts so to tell her you need yo move on when it's been about how long in the show
This season has really helped Barry with his powers
Soooo he did the right thing but frying Caitlyn’s apartment instead of making her see the errors of her ways or maybe even leaving her at star labs for a week???? Yeah ok
@@muhamadjallow3490 did he have to go so hard with the lightning? No def not but I also don’t see anything wrong with him destroying the flasks and bottles and whatever else she had
Bro this dude just walked into her home destroyed it then left without saying shit like wtf, barry is the worst team leader ever, this dude has gotten so many people killed
That's literally the most badass thing that's happened this season.
And finally, Caitlin becomes the villain she was seeded to be ever since we first heard her name
I’m not going to lie this is one of my favourite abilities of Barry/Flash. It’s his most destructive and lethal ability…a lightning explosion or lightning grenade.
So far I’m looking forward to rewatching this season. If the season finale is also good this would be a hell of a comeback for the show.
Everyone loses someone they care about, Snow The real test of character is what you do once they're gone.

One of the best scenes of this season
Aw, i Thought Caitlin had a trap for him, so that way she can make her mistake happen.
That scene seemed like a villain origin story
She could do what Cisco did and make her own tech-powered ice powers and still be like Frost but with an evil twist
Got nothing but chills when she mentioned his parents 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶the look from behind him and the power he displayed here was insaaaaneee, don't care what haters say about the CGI in this season,we get to see flash go God mode in every season🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

woah, I didn't know Barry could use that power all the time! I thought that was like just for one scene where they show his 'true power' or whatever. reminds me of the Speedforce aura explosion with red-head Wally that one time in the comics (it was an accident there)
And this is how villians are made
I love how there's a wobbly effects on lightning I think that's a nice touch.
I would be mad with Barry now cos he just simply left her with that mess to clean up
What the hell was this scene, Barry has no reason to be this much against Catlin's plan, he saw the last time she got shot with the gun and all it did then was make a new body for her alter ego, there's absolutely no risk here, what does barry thing she's gonna do human testing in random people until it works or something? Mind you unlike the last 40 times he's screwed up the timeline trying to avoid his grief catlin isn't doing anything regarding time travel, meaning this is supposed to be how history plays out, there's no risk and no reason to be against it, hell it'd probably do team flash some good to have frost back considering they've been even more incompetent since she died
This is exactly why I gave up on CW drama, it's all completely nonsensical and borderline bs, and now it's coming out the ass end of character assassination more and more, just a couple episodes ago we had Barry I Won't Kill Anyone Even Thawne Allen deciding on a dime to just kill Ronnie because Cecil thought he wanted to die simply because she could read that he didn't feel good and Catlin was obviously against it for sensible reasons, not that they tried to contact ronnie again and find out how to help him nope Cecil heard his voice say a few words about freeing him and was convinced he wanted to die alright let's go and then spent trying to convince ronnie's freaking wife to help them kill him, mind you the guy that said this once "I won't kill anyone, not even a gorilla" mind you to save billions of people and wouldn't kill the two people that murdered both of his parents
All this will lead to is catlin leaving the show or going dark and then leaving or dying somehow
Next episode it's gonna be all Barry's mad she didn't tell him what she was doing, she'll reply "well I didn't think I needed to" or "like you told me how you were gonna do something that killed my sister" they're gonna have drama sessions and it'll end with her leaving star labs one way or another, predictable, character assassination founded and petty drama, one side is made out to be the bad guy and the other is meant to have a halo on their head, probably barry with the halo and catlin getting drug through the mud
Also thanks if you actually read the whole thing lol
Are you sped ?? ITS OBVIOUS TRYING TO BRING THE DEAD BACK WOUKD CREATE A VILLIAN SHE LITERALLY JUST TRIED TO PLAY GOD WITH RONNIE AND WE SAW WHAT HAPPENED SHE MADE FREAKING DEATHSTORM WHO MURDERED SEVERAL INNOCENTS IN COLD BLOOD AND LED TO FROSTS DEATH SHE KILLED FROST LITERALLY DUE TO A DECISION SHE WAS ABOUT TO DO AGAIN TRYING TO BRING HER BACK AND BARRY WARNED SEVERAL TIMES TO NOT TRY TO BRING RONNIE BACK BUT SHE AINT LISTEN??
