What a brilliant guide. I was expecting just a preview of the default sounds and a brief usage guide, but this goes so much further, pointing us at useful cartridges, how to load them, etc. Many thanks!
When I was in 7th grade, the band director procured a then-new DX7. Several of the students would gather around to jam on it many a morning before school.
@musictechtuition - I bought a cheap 32 key midi keyboard that works well with any platform, however thus far I have been limited to using it on android for lack of decent free FM software for windows, until I discovered this video and Dexed. I was looking for eighties game-style sound effects and Dexed offered the perfect windows midi solution. This excellent video made a lot of difference in the time it took to acquaint myself with Dexed software. And for that I'm most grateful for your efforts. Thanks.
Hi, this are great tutorials. One word about your Hashtags. Create the first three # so that people will stay on your channel. fex #musictectuition Just a tipp on the side, because you make such great tutorials.
Please, do you know how to load real Yamaha patches on DeXed??? I'm trying to do that but DeXed finds no sound there... Trying Yamaha DX100 and TX81Z - no success... Maybe it needs to be "converted" in some way...

Back in the day, synths were like objects from another world - I still remember when my school got an SH-101, and I even got to use it sometimes!
Thanks for the rundown.

I have used Dexed for some time now, it’s great when working inside Unify, but when l try to use it on my iPad it’s very unstable, many thanks.
