As a 29 year old man now I can say that Joakim has always been authentic. I never got the chance to meet him, but hearing both of my grandmothers talk about how genuine he was when he took pictures with them and autographed my posters for me meant everything. Jo is a real one. UD & Mike are real ones as well. My grandaddy took me to all the gator games to watch UD and Mike play.
Joakim Noah was one of those guys that teams hated but they all wanted him on their team. This was great to see these Gator greats together. GO GATORS! 🔥🔥🐊🐊🐊
Born in Chicago, witnessed the 6 Chips, seen MJ play, but those Baby Bulls teams were just as embraced by the city as those 90s teams. Joakim/Lu/BG/Kirk/Jimmy/DRose and the bench mobs, thank you for those years!
As a bulls fan my whole life , Joakim Noah was one of my favorite players. He could score 0 points and would still have a massive impact in the game . The anchor of those early 2010s bulls teams . Was also a surprisingly good free throw shooter . And an amazing passer .
I'll always cherish those times. That one fateful night in 2012 against the 76ers ended it all 😢. With Jimmy Butler becoming the player he is, they might've been able to get past Miami one of those years.
As a Knick fan...can't stand Joakim Noah lol (so excited to see him in NY, didn't work out), but thru and thru as a person he seems solid. Respect man, good to see you doing well and healthy. Good show fellas!
Man those UF Gator teams with Joakim, Al Horford and Corey Brewer were some Dawgs, Joakim always bought the energy, always hustling and playing defense, back to back NCAA Champions 06-07!
I remember the championship game against Ohio State. Joakim and Al took turns against Greg Oden who was a beast in that game. Glad those 2 came back for a 2nd chip.
O6-07 Florida was the best college team I've seen they had Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Taurean Green, Mareese Speights, etc. also have to mention the sniper Lee Humphrey. Then after they won the chip they all came back when at least 2 or 3 of them could have been lottery picks and won another one rather easily.
It was never personal with them. Just how the nba use to be and should be - no friends on the court. It’s personal with kg and Paul idk if they would get thru a podcast without trading blows
In the years 2011 - 2013 if you would've told me in the future Haslem and Noah would be sitting together on a podcast dapping each other up... I would say hell naw that's impossible. The only thing that would be crazier is having KG, Rondo and/or Piece here.
Noah is a good human being. Him talking about bringing people together no matter what side you’re on or what you look like is inspirational. I wish everyone had that mindset. ❤
Being a heat fan, I didn’t like Joakim at first because of the rivalry but I always respected him. He was a damn good player and he’s a good dude. Those battles were always intense to watch
I'm 42 , from Ga, and UF Ben my favorite squad since Mike and UD, Brent Wright, and Teddy Dupay, he had all the Florida HS records at the time... #GatorNation
Joakim was exercising some demons. But I love how he keeps it real. The type of energy he brings, passion and competitiveness is what every young athlete needs to idolize. When you guys talk about playing for a teammate vs playing for a brother hit home for me. When your team becomes your family, you'll run through a wall for them. A different level of competition comes out.
28:41 hearing him talk about playing tennis with his dad and having a bunch of people watching… What a lot of us NBA fans don’t realize is that outside of the United States Yannick Noah is way more famous than Joakim. Especially in Europe. Dude was a serious tennis player
Hearing Joakim now shed some light and changed my perspective about him. He was a villain for me through and through but now all I have is respect. Nicely done
I loved how he always passed, played defense and fought for his team. I miss many colorful personalities we do not see in the NBA, Joakim Noah certainly one of them.
I am a lifelong Heat fan and UF grad so obviously Udonis is one of my favorite players to the point where I have a poster of him dunking on my wall. Prophetically, Joakim is in the background of the poster!
20:13 the actual quote is ‘there’s winning and there’s misery. There’s no in between.’ Read his book and you’ll know. The book came out before haslem was even at Florida. FYI
I feel like the NBA as a whole players owners realized that the regular media was destroying the game in ways once Jalen and Jacoby ended I was done with Disney thank y’all for this insight from a real basketball fan
Small regret is going to university of miami over florida from 04 to 08. Thing is miami was in the championship football game my junior year of high school in miami. I had similar financial aid packages so I went to the U instead since it was historically better and recently better. Boy, i missed out on quite a few gator championships from 04 to 08
Man I still miss those days of Heat vs Bulls. I’m a huge Lebron fan and D rose was my favorite point guard, I didn’t care who would win cause it was so hard to tell you pick between your two favorite players and teams
Love this podcast! Huge Heat fan from Scotland. I am a sound engineer and I think if you guys invest in a good condenser microphone to hang above you and your guests, you could capture all the audio when you guys face away from your microphones. it would capture all the laughter and reactions amazingly. especially in such an echoey room. Please give me a shoutout for the idea. Heat in 6!
Jo will forever be a Chicago legend. Bro really represented the city every night he stepped on the court, he held us down when D.Rose got hurt. Offense running through a big man at the time was crazy. That kind of energy, hustle, and dog just isn’t seen nightly anymore. That #13 jersey should be retired. 🫡
Mike Miller truly was a cold-one, the best example I could give is Josh Allen and the Bills was equivalent to Mike Miller and the Grizzlies, he had the talent to lead and win a chip with a great cast, so when he got traded to Miami he was a steal for Shaq and D Wade.
A Gator legend wearing Crocs 😅 what the internet needed. Noah is a dog man hated him against my team but love his tenacity. That boy wants all the smoke.
I was at UCLA when Joe and those boys destroyed us in back 2 back tournaments. This man haunted my basketball dreams. One of the best defensive players I've ever seen live. Seriously he was an animal. His IQ isn't talked about enough
I had season tickets for the Bulls, in the DRose Noah Luol Deng era, and went to 95% of the games, I seen the look in DRose face when he got hur and I knew, I still have my BEAT THE HEAT shirts,

Right!!! A true point center that plays defense at a high level

Absolutely.. Underrated

Draymond green type

Yeah they would've wiped the floor with UConn, that question was disrespectful. Lol
I remember the championship game against Ohio State. Joakim and Al took turns against Greg Oden who was a beast in that game. Glad those 2 came back for a 2nd chip.
Mike nervous laughing is killing me 😆 these two too intense for our guy Mike 😆
Mike trippen for laughing when Noah was expressing his self 😂
Right bro mad annoying like damn let the man speak
I don't think it was nervous laugh bro I think he laughing cuz that shit a sickness 🤣
O6-07 Florida was the best college team I've seen they had Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Taurean Green, Mareese Speights, etc. also have to mention the sniper Lee Humphrey. That was a squad
Joakim Noah a real Bulls legend 💯 those boys were nasty running the East just couldn’t get past Miami.
We need Chris Bosh on the podcast
Definitely 🤝🏾
Come to the think about it, Noah would've been a fit with the Heat.
Fax aint never thought bout playin wit em cause always going against em but would’ve fit right in Heat culture 🔥
Facts
If we had him win now we would win the finals
Everyone was a fit with the Heat. They had LeBron & Wade..😂😂😂
@@howardmighty6764Noah plays defense you smart aaa, and he got boards. He would have been a great fit, Heat culture is about defense.😢
Miller giggles at literally anything
He’s on something
man noah is such a legend. College back to back, brought tenacity and passion!
Sitting side by side with the enemy haha. Need to get KG, PP, PG, D Rose, Hibbert, Lance Stephenson, etc. on there too.
Nah OG said its up anytime he see Truth or KG 😂😂 he do not fw dem boys
😂😂😂
@@xchxmpagnepxpixexactly this aint a podcast that episode..its a exhibition🤣
It was never personal with them. Just how the nba use to be and should be - no friends on the court. It’s personal with kg and Paul idk if they would get thru a podcast without trading blows
Paul said UD jersey retirement was given and not earned 😂 it’s personal
Back during the big 3 the only team in the East I was worried about was Chicago. They were tough af before D Rose got hurt
In the years 2011 - 2013 if you would've told me in the future Haslem and Noah would be sitting together on a podcast dapping each other up... I would say hell naw that's impossible.

Man I could listen to Noah talk all day. Such a great conversationalist
Joakim Noah was your Draymond Green, super underrated 💪
You right he needs to get more credit
Him & Boozer were tough as nails, DRose meshed w them so well it reminds me of Curry Klay and Dray
Green as shoot a little..the only difference lol
Yo, that elbow action that GSW runs might be from Ron Adams (Thibs former assistant)
Noah didnt injure people to win lol
As a Heat fan I always liked Noah
Always?? Couldn’t stand the sight of him back in the day. Big fan of his now
Jus started da interview. Dat Ben Gordon, Kirk Hinrich, and Luol Deng trio was deadly 😮 💪🏾
Noah is a good human being. Him talking about bringing people together no matter what side you’re on or what you look like is inspirational. I wish everyone had that mindset. ❤
Gators gatorsgators, the og's on fire, Noah, the goat of the gators. Let's fucking go
The Bulls/Heat rivalries in the 2010’s were some great ball games. Dawgz on both sides of the court, ultra competitive
1:45 that’s so much love that mike got out and put some money on UD books when he was still locked up at Florida lol. Shout out Killa
It’s always funny to hear them talk about getting shots before games😂I used to be amazed when they played through injury but now I know.
Being a heat fan, I didn’t like Joakim at first because of the rivalry but I always respected him. He was a damn good player and he’s a good dude. Those battles were always intense to watch
Them Heat series is still keeping him up at night. Mike had me dying 😂😂
I'm 42 , from Ga, and UF Ben my favorite squad since Mike and UD, Brent Wright, and Teddy Dupay, he had all the Florida HS records at the time...

Loved those heat vs bulls matchups back in the day. The atmosphere and talent was great to watch.
Joakim showed me how to set a proper pick lol a lot of D Rose highlights off his picks
I love these guys so much! Dropping gems and inspiration left and right...that's how my Gator boys roll ⚓ 🐊 😂 ❤💎, M.
MIke Miller just laughing when Joakim being serious and letting his emotions out smh
Facts. He smiling & laughing the whole time while Jo talking about real shit and emotions..
Salute my guy Noah. The backbone of them baby bulls. Love is love
I used to hate this man with a passion because of the bulls. Seeing the respect between him and OG changed my mind, he’s just a competitor 💯🔥
I wanted Noah on the Heat since he was drafted. That man is a worrier…
Joakim is a trip✌, his dad is a straight legend🔥
🎉 Noah was one of my favorite college players of all time, and I'm old, graduated in 92.
I love what hes doing. You have to get KG and Paul on here. The world needs it.
