Battletrap was awesome, sure he didn't go down awesome, but awesome nonetheless. The gatling gun he has is epic, and the way he uses his cables is unique. I honestly saw him as comparable to Megatron's trinity.
As a MASSIVE fan of the live action Transformers ive got this to say. This is what we want to see from the minor villains.... every scene of them being intimidating but also useful... since ROTF the minor villains have had very little impact during the fight scenes and ultimately end up being used as cannon fodder for Optimus and Bee to slaughter. But battletrap and Nightbird were fighting Autobots, making a nuisance of themselves, they SPOKE and then had meaningful deaths at the end. More of this please.

This video cut early when Battletrap went out of focus during their landing, but the three of them walked quite a bit while Scourge talked.

At least he had more than nightbird
Sucks that despite being a "near invincible" herald of Unicron he didn't do anything in the final battle before instantly dying. He and Nightbird should've contributed more and took on multiple of the Autobots and Maximals at the same time
They had to say that so he sounds like a bigger threat than he really is. It's kind of sad. A trio of villains with such potential just thrown down the drain.
I will never understand why the directors of these movies can't understand the concept of "reoccuring characters" when it comes to decepticons. You don't need to literally just slaughter them every time they lose.
Normally when the autobots have a fight at least one of the enemies dies in the process. I’m glad they keep the terrorcons around for more than a appearance
I love how this movie showcases their abilities and powers instead of endless guns and missiles, they have good coordination and work as a team, I hope in later movies they get to fleshed out villains even further rather than canon fodder for the heroes

The deep droning sounds he makes when he just moves around or transforms periodically remind me of the way star scream had his signature warping and screeching sound when he walked or transformed, gives him more presence and character imo
The g1 battletrap isnt the most memorable character ever, tge concept is cool but hes basically non-existent I think this version of battletrap will become the new stable version. He looks so cool and has some cool moments for his limited amount of time

Was it necessary to kill nightbird and battletrap so fast? I mean, nightbird died after being stabbed by Bumblebee with her own wing without a proper fight, and battletrap got the classic bayverse treatment by getting killed brutally by the hands of prime and primal without anyone giving him a real fight.

The fight was too pathetic. It was not as hard-core or brutal like the bayverse transformers, especially the dark of the moon and age of extinction.
