    Today it's about a heartwarming comfort drink that I know you've already experienced yet. I'm going to share with you why you need to add it to this holiday season and enjoy it. So I can't wait to get started to show you this drink.
    What are the health benefits of drinking cider and how you should look for it in your store and how to enjoy it even more this holiday season?
    Now the reason I want you to navigate towards the apple cider in your store is because it's a fall season and it's nice and fresh and we want it fresh. And as soon as you take this home I want you to refrigerate it to keep it fresh longer.
    Cider Health Benefits
    Apple cider is going to have some sugar content we need to keep Be mindful of that. But the nutritional value that comes in apple cider is really high.
    Another reason why I want you to drink apple cider is because it is an unfiltered on pasteurized product. That means you retain the nutritional value of the apples and apples are an incredibly nutrient dense food.
    Now I've got some other reasons for your health benefits, why I want you to enjoy this apple cider. Reason number one is the flavonoids Yes, apple cider is still going to have a lot of flavonoids from these apples, which is going to help you with lowering the risk of type two diabetes, it's going to help with decreasing your risk of cancer and heart disease.
    Number two is it improves cognitive function. This was a study done by the University of Massachusetts showed drinking apple cider when it's nice and fresh like it is at this time of the year is going to help improve your mental function.
    Number three is it has polyphenols. Now I just told you I prefer you not to drink apple juice and drink apple cider instead. Because the polyphenols are four times higher in apple cider than they are in apple juice. So the cider is a lot more beneficial for your health.
    Number four, and you know where I'm going with this one, it is because the apples have fiber. And as I showed you apple cider at the bottom, you can usually see all that gunk in there, that's the fiber. So you're going to actually get some fiber, not as much as if you ate the apple. But you're going to get the fiber in the cider, whereas you're not going to get it in the juice. So that is a huge reason why I want you to serve apple cider to your children and not apple juice.
    Number five is about iron. Iron is very important for your brain and for your blood. So this side is actually going to have a small amount of iron that's going to help everyone from young children to older adults.
    Number six, my last one is this is a big one, this is potassium, you can get 4% of your daily value potassium in a glass and eight-ounce cup of apple cider. Now you may ask why do I care about potassium? Well, potassium is good for your muscle strength, your muscle tone, and also for your heart which is a muscle. So yes, we need potassium in our diet. And if we can enjoy a nice hot drink like an apple cider to get our potassium well then that's a good option.
    A couple ways of adding a delicious spritz to your apple cider is we're all familiar with adding cinnamon sticks. So if you were to heat up your apple cider and add some cinnamon sticks to it, it would give it a nice delicious flavor. You could also just use these as stirring sticks or as decoration when you serve it. You can also add a spritz of lemon or squeeze some orang into your apple cider.
