When I was 20 I tried to make these and ended up hand sewing the flap because I couldn't work out the right way to do it in one step. My mother laughed and asked why I hadn't done it properly but she didn't enlighten me. It's taken 50 years and the invention of the internet to find out! Thank you x
Great, straight-forward tutorial. Seems like pillowcases with hems are the rage but I wanted something simple and your video makes the process very easy to follow.
09/21/2020 - I love, love, love, your instructions for a pillow case with a flap. I have been looking for these instructions for the past month and found some but they are a little confusing. Even though they talk talk talk about the instructions, I still found them difficult. I looked at yours and even with no talking, just the soft music, I found it so easy to do. I'd sew it right now, but it's a little late here in San Antonio, Texas. I subscribed to your website. Thank you.
VERY CLEAR tutorial....thank you! Subscribed now. I just have to now figure out at which point I need to switch to use French seams on the linen bed set I am making :)
Thank you so much for this video. I can work most things out by looking at them, but not pillow cases apparently. You’ve solved a real mystery for me 😂.
Hi I love these instructions. I am just curious about finishing the thread in the corners before you turned it right side out. I have never seen this done before. Why is this done? If you did the back stitching well there then is this absolutely necessary?
Thank you @EasyToSew - great tutorial - One question from an inexperienced/newbie - what are you doing with the needle at 3:40 ? Is it just a tidy up of cotton, or a securing of the cotton?
Thank you so much for sharing. I have a bed sheet I wanted to make extra pillows from as my new one only had one so was going to make afew more with it
