I agree, definitely so much harder now to start a TH-cam channel compared to even 5 years ago. I wish I started a vlog channel about my travels around Australia back in 2012. I feel it's too late now to start since there's so much competition and to break out would be near impossible without connections. Despite this my first video I uploaded did get 35,000 views. I shared it to a lot of web pages with similar interests in which my video was focused on which seemed to help out a lot

Felix, I subscribed to you when the Slender man games were a big deal back around 2012. You were the first gaming channel I ever saw. It was so entertaining! I remember being so intrigued by seeing someone play a game with a facecam in the corner! It inspired me to want to do TH-cam videos, but I didn't have internet and didn't even have a PC of any kind. I was so bummed that I couldn't do it, but I still held on to the dream. Then in 2015, one of my friends started their channel and I decided it was time to at least get started despite having a crappy laptop with crappy internet. Now 2 years later I have found myself discouraged. TH-cam seems to have changed with gaming content not being as big as it used to be. I wish I got to do TH-cam much sooner. However, this video has helped me realize that if I enjoy it, there is nothing to be discouraged about. Felix you have inspired me again in 2017 like you did in 2012. Thank you for being real and thank you for being a inspiration to many for years.

I agree, definitely so much harder now to start a TH-cam channel compared to even 5 years ago. I wish I started a vlog channel about my travels around Australia back in 2012. I feel it's too late now to start since there's so much competition and to break out would be near impossible without connections. Despite this my first video I uploaded did get 35,000 views. I shared it to a lot of web pages with similar interests in which my video was focused on which seemed to help out a lot
Never give up on your dreams though! If you truly believe you can do it and you've got something new and unique to bring to TH-cam, give it a shot :)
Just a random comment here. Don't focus on breaking through or being bigger or better than someone else, don't think about the competition. Just do what you love, your energy will attract people naturally 😊 good luck!!!

I honestly cannot believe he finally made this video and made it serious at that. I kept thinking that at any moment he'd make everything a joke, but man, I loved this so much, you can clearly tell why he's the biggest channel. Felix, I subscribed to you when the Slender man games were a big deal back around 2012. You were the first gaming channel I ever saw. It was so entertaining! I remember being so intrigued by seeing someone play a game with a facecam in the corner! It inspired me to want to do TH-cam videos, but I didn't have internet and didn't even have a PC of any kind. I was so bummed that I couldn't do it, but I still held on to the dream. Then in 2015, one of my friends started their channel and I decided it was time to at least get started despite having a crappy laptop with crappy internet. Now 2 years later I have found myself discouraged. TH-cam seems to have changed with gaming content not being as big as it used to be. I wish I got to do TH-cam much sooner. However, this video has helped me realize that if I enjoy it, there is nothing to be discouraged about. Felix you have inspired me again in 2017 like you did in 2012. Thank you for being real and thank you for being a inspiration to many for years.
