Literally the only legal way you can watch Anime on stream is having a contract with the studio. There's literally nothing Twitch can do, as it's not only against TOS but literally illegal.
Even if you don't stream the anime to Twitch itself, you can still co-ordinate watches with viewers. Twitch could partner with Western anime distributors, like Crunchyroll/Netflix, creating the infrastructure to sync up watchalongs.

I think the reason why Poki was instantly struck down was because ATLA is an American creation and they're usually more strict with the DMCA and shiz. The East usually doesnt care. I can watch Anime really easily for free while I need to scour the whole internet just to watch The Mandalorian. (I watched ATLA on netflix, so I cant use that as an example)

He explained in his prev stream that he carefully chose and selected animes, and researched among them which of the companies of said anime he chose that didn’t have much DMCA incidents, or had very very few instances of that happening. Honestly he can still be banned but he already said that would be the less surprising thing to happen to him prior to starting the first oturan stream, the biggest surprise is how he isn’t banned yet.
