You see, I actually did that when I played Minish Cap... Any unlit stuff, I light it with my lantern. Here though, I didn't even noticed that the braziers in the library even existed in this game... I'm going to revisit the place.
Plenty of people found that and didn't tell anyone because it was underwhelming. The puzzle was cooler than the reward. Callback to old school Zelda puzzling.
All the puzzles are cooler than the reward. If something doesnt look fun/challenging i just skip it because i know with certainty there is never a substantial reward. I spent like 25 mins on a puzzle last night and got 5 arrows.
Wasn’t this one of the puzzles that held royal guard armor in BotW? The cap, I believe? And isn’t the location for the leggings in BotW where you now find the Hylian Shield?
I have played many video games I do not light every torch I find. I don't think I've ever lit a torch in any game honestly. All I'm seeing in the comments is that it's a Zelda rule.
Lol, I actually found this a few days ago while doinking around Hyrule Castle. I was just like “ooh I’ll light the fire basins” and BOOF chest. I was so shocked when my game paused and it appeared 😂
I find hard that to believe that this was just found out. More like, most have found it and didnt think it was a rare find. Especially playing all zelda games that light torches up usually signals an invisible chest to appear... 😅
It was so obvious in my first playtrough. I wonder why it took so much time for someone to discover it since it's a rule to fire all the unlit braziers in all TLoZ games.
I found that one a while back, as it's only 300 rupees, I didn't post about it. After finding the Champion's Leathers, I figured "hmmm, not lit, let's light them" was just how I'd go forward in the castle.
I genuinely thought for a second, it was a second pile of giant Golden goop from Hestu. _Phew!!!!!_ At least that is half-Satisfyingly instead of humiliating.
I'm seeing this discovery come up all over and the thing is, I discovered this myself within an hour of getting to Hyrule Castle. Its not hard to figure out since I love lighting torches and there was a similar puzzle in hyrule castle last game, but I never told anyone about my discovery because I figured it should be common knowledge. Also for reference I got TOTK day one so I discovered it months ago
The Library is awesome. You can move the bookshelves with Ultrahand, and even Fuse them. Put a bookshelf on a Royal Guard’s Shield and you basically can’t even see Link anymore LOL It’s the same deal with ruins debris, and you can even Recall the ruined path that falls just outside of Zelda’s study(?) and fuse that to a shield. The only challenge is to not run out of shields and weapons-
The first time i came to the library, my zelda senses tingled and i just had to test to see if the brazier could be lit, i then went ahed and lit them all, and felt like genius :)
I did this casually on my first playthrough but I thought everyone mustve known, considering thats also how you get the hylian shield and the champions leathers
I pirated the game two weeks before it came out and I remembered lighting these in BOTW AND THEY DO NOTHING. So I went straight to the library to light the torches, I honestly might’ve been the first person to do it.
I'm sorry but I thought this was a thing that everyone knew. We got the Champion Leathers paper and thought this would make everyone think of lighting up the blazers everywhere
Given how hard it is to get money, this acceptable
Unless you dupe 😂

Everyone familiar with Zelda immediately lights all the torches they find.
As someone that has ONLY played OOT (remake) and TOTK.

There are some shrines and events where you have to light fires and stuff. Old school Zelda puzzles hit different like that
i was looking for lore and found a gold rupee instead

it was lmao
I found this way before but just didn't realise it was unknown😂

Guesses before chest opens. "Totally gonna be rupees"
Nah if you had any form of zelda ptsd you knew what to do in all the three torch puzzle places in the castle without a second thought
"You'll never guess" proceeds to immediately guess lol
I love it because it feels like a classic problem solving scenario in older zelda dungeons
I don’t wanna be that guy, but I found this myself a little while ago.
My little loot goblin senses were tingling when I had first saw those unlit braziers
That’s was just discovered? Thought that spot was common knowledge
He literally said you'll never guess what's inside and my first thought was, "300 bucks.'
How about the fact that I was lighting every single torch in the hallway of the first game thinking it was going to do something
It was so obvious in my first playtrough. I wonder why it took so much time for someone to discover it since it's a rule to fire all the unlit braziers in all TLoZ games.
By "discover" they unfortunately just mean "somebody posted about it online". Smh lol.
At least the one in the throne room gives you armor.
