i made bp following your recipe,velocity`s were pretty eneimic,when i got home i weighed a full120 measure and it came out to only 57 grains by weight,i have since made a measure that holds 80 grains by weight will let you know how it goes
Hey Shane, try corning your powder. My old blend was lose or grained. When corning or pressing is done, you can match the weight and power of commercial. My velocity doing this, is now at the heals of Swiss. Thanks for watching!
@@HoffmanReproductions no problem bud,i tested it this afternoon,in my traditions kentuck,at 50 yards with 80 grain by weight the round ball completey passed through a 2 1/2 inch peice of spruce plank so im thinking it good to go for a deer
dunno about in your neck of the woods but up here in manitoba canada,powders of any kind is like hens teeth,i watched alot of the homemade bp video`s on youtube,and i found this one explained it all quite nicely,even a fella like me you been shooting 45 years i never had a clue on how to make bp but thanks to this video series it was as easy as pie,keep em coming bud

Can I corn the powder after I've added the alcohol, granulated it, and dried it? Will it still work?
