  • Today we look at a series that has been very influential on my current taste in video games, the Project X Zone series. Starting with 2005's Namco X Capcom for the PS2. When a former Banpresto staffer joined Monolithsoft and proposed a small cross over game staring Namco IPs what would ensue would be one of the most ambitious cross overs the Japanese video game scene had ever seen.

I really liked the review. You made the strengths of the game, which is the characters, quite clear. You made the weaknesses of the pacing and combat make sense as well.
I feel like you could have slowed down a bit for some sentences, but I still do really like the review.

I also like the title cards you did that displayed each section in the font of both Namco and Capcom's logos.

    I really liked this review
For me learning about about how this game came to fruition was interesting and how they tried to make there own system more different from other tactical games was cool to see and listen to. I had a feeling the game was going to be a long play through but that doesn’t discourage me since I’m learning more of the obscure characters the capcom and banco don’t really show often about. I kinda wanna play it but idk where to get it lol

Game super long, never skipped the Intro.
KOSMOS is just broken in this game.
My carries were Kos Mos, Ryu, Ken and Reiji & Xiamou. As for strategy...I'm sorry the game had no strategy.

Great retrospective man! What's the theme playing at 18:46? Is it from the game?

Eh, I feel you had the wrong mentality when playing the game. If you wanna go fast then this franchise is not for you, it was made by one of the Super Robot Wars directors and said franchise is full of dialogue, so it should have been obvious how much dialogue there would be here as well.
