I am so critical of these doctors on the panel that restrict their advice to 'profitable' medications and expensive psychological treatments. I laughed when one of the doctors played down the side effects so severely he described them as 'nuisance' side effects. And not one of them dared to mention diet, which is actually a huge part of successful ADHD management.

I honestly have ADHD and I used to be overdramatic I know LOL XD. I would get fustrated easily about H.W. and cry. My parents would usually leave me alone to cry but it made me tough. Thanks mom and dad!:-) I love you guys! And ever since kindergarton I couldn't even red or spell not even read a little book because my kindergarton teacher hated me. LOL drama.. And in second grade i transferred to a new school they didn't pay enough attention to my skills. And I just started teaching myself ever since then. In second grade I became one of the best spellers in my class. In 3rd grade I entered a spelling bee and won!!:-)

My medidate never worked for me. they heightened the doses and It didn't work. I got off the medidate and by age 15 it toned down a bit. Drugs seriously do NOT help. Every time I took it, it would make my attention only to one thing and then I'd be staring out the window when I needed to be looking at the board. I still do that now but instead of someone else snapping me out of it I have to do it myself.

You should hold them accountable according to what is realistic, otherwise it's ok to be out of control and we don't need to strive to overcome.

I am a Montessori teacher and I can almost always recognize adhd or unusual behaviour in children as young as 3 years of age. It is only when they are 6 that I talk to parents to seriously get help. There is no help for under 6 in Canada !

Hi...how can I recognize if my son has this or if is normal for him to be hyperactive, the only thing everybody's can notice is he can't stay still. He is 4 years old and hard to listen.

They don't tell you how many kids have died from ADHD medication. Do your research before you medicate your child.
