    I love the reveal, when you rib off the slip. I never know exactly what it’s going to look like.

      Thanks, Jenny. Even when I plan and try to predict, I'm always looking forward to that reveal.

    I really like these sort of videos you are doing- I find them really peaceful and calming. And love the artistic style you put in them too- makes them stand out to other similar videos. Nice work :)

      Thank you Lindsay. Glad I was on to see this so soon when you commented. I enjoy making these videos like a fully immersive experience. Like, how far can I push what a pottery video can be?

    Would like to see them after firing. What do you dye clay with? Different clays won't fire right will they?
    I think that donut will explode if it's fired like that.

    That doughnut is amazing! My favourite of all you the pieces you showed. What will,you use it for?

      Haha thanks. It’s not as tasty as it may look. I’ve seen some cool teapot doughnuts out there but this is too small. I may through down though it and make it a single flower vase. Who knows.

    Can I see what these look like post firing?

    • @CeramicJim

      That thumbnail one never made it. I trimmed and while adding a handle I cracked it. There are probably a few of those in the recent kiln unloadings.

      @@CeramicJim I guess I asked, because I wondered how steadfast the colours are after firing. It's just porcelain isn't it? So I assume it stays much the same.

      It is. It definitely gets richer and more vibrant.

    Question: what stain are you using for your black porcelain?

    • @CeramicJim
      @CeramicJim  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is 6650. A cobalt free black stain.
