Ipswich station with a Felixstowe Dock bound freightliner coming out of Stoke tunnel. I note the sidings to the side of the station are now empty whereas they used to be full of coach stock, some fuel tanker waggons and a few diesel locomotives. Later in the video there is a diesel (can be O/H electric too - power car in the middle) 4 coach set in platform 1 whose destination would be either Lowestoft or Felixstowe.
Railway station, please ! Nice footage showing the layout of the area. Whoever its down to, they need to clear all that plant growth away from the tunnel portal or it'll eventually need some heavy repair work.
Nah, it's fine. But it does suffer from the problem that drones have no sound. It's not very engaging to watch in silence but, then, the alternative is bland music which isn't great either.
@@martin961980 Good sound would definitely improve it, but would be really difficult to do. Best would be the sound of what we're actually watching but, of course, you can't do that with a drone. Scott Taipale has a lot of drone shots of (American) trains on his channel and they have more-or-less matching sound taken from a second camera that he's operating at ground level, but that's not possible when flying over such a wide area as you do in this video.
I used to drive Freightliner trains between Crewe and Ipswich many years ago. I used to love those lodge turns. I wish we still had them
Oh wow I’d love to hear more about that.
That must have been a great experience

@beeble2003 oh so you think that it needs sounds to go with it ?
