    DNA Testing
    DNA report
    Paternity Index(PI), Direct Index (DI)
    probability of paternity
    cannot be excluded
    exclusion of paternity
    Prenatal paternity Testing
For the child’s two alleles, one allele comes from the person's mother, and the other allele comes from the father.
If, for example, a child has two alleles that are sizes 11 and 15,
and if the mother has sizes 5 and 15,
then the child inherited the size 15 allele from the mother.
The child has to have inherited the size 11 allele from the father.
The size 11 allele is the "obligate paternal allele."
Generally, the alleged father must have an allele this size if he is the biological father of the child.
The box in the chart on the Laboratory Report highlights the obligate paternal allele and the alleged father's matching allele, if any.
If the alleged father does not have the matching allele, then he usually cannot be the biological parent.
If he does have it, then he could be the father.
A "Paternity Index"(PI), or “Direct Index” (DI) is calculated based on information including the portion of the male population that has this size allele.
This index is included in the PI (DI) column for each DNA locus.
A Combined Paternity Index or Combined Direct Index for all of the tested alleles is then calculated and written in bold type below the chart,
along with the "probability of paternity."
The probability of paternity is the percentage likelihood that a man with the alleles of the alleged father is the biological parent of the child,
as compared to an untested, unrelated man of the same race.
In general, if the tested father is confirmed to be the biological father of the child,
the result is a positive paternity inclusion.
In such cases, the probability of paternity will exceed 99.9%.
The Statement of Results in the report will state,
"The alleged father cannot be excluded as the biological father of the tested child. Based on the analysis of STR loci listened above, the probability of paternity is 99.9999%."
Conversely, if the tested father is not the child’s biological father,
the results will be exclusion of paternity.
The probability of paternity in this case would be 0%
and the Statement of Results on the report will read
“The alleged father is excluded as the biological father of the tested child. This conclusion is based on the non-matching alleles observed at the STR loci listed above with a DI equal to 0. The probability of paternity is 0%”."

Question what if they did a dna test no gloves a lady touched it then the allegied father did on the baby she used no gloves on testing us!

Gloves must be worn throughout the collection and packaging procedure. for peace of mind testing self collection, if no gloves, wash your hands, as long as you do not touch the cotton end with your fingers, should be no problem.

I have tested four times and 3 markers keep coming up that are not a match but the fourth test claims im 96.777 % how can they now make that conclusion when 3 markers still dont match and 3 previous test excluded me

You have tested 4 times, may I know the labs' names and their links? are they AABB and ISO 17025 accredited labs? for paternity testing, normally you will get a conclusive results : 0% or 99.99...%.
AABB and ISO 17025 accredited labs will follow all paternity-test guidelines for the language used in the report. For this reason, your paternity test results will say whether the possible father IS EXCLUDED or IS NOT EXCLUDED as the biological father of the child tested.
IS EXCLUDED: Means that he cannot be the father because testing determined that he and the child do not share a biological parent/child relationship.
IS NOT EXCLUDED: Means that he is likely to be the biological father because testing determined that he and the child do share a biological parent/child relationship with a high degree of probability.

@@rockysrecords-pg fast labs in texas that use ddc test labs. The court claims they're accredited. How can I not be the father then next say it's a possibility of a triple mutation. If considered as mutations I am the father 🤷

but I don't think DDC will give a 96.777% for a legal paternity testing. you can email or call DDC about your report.

@@rockysrecords-pg how can they consider them mutations just based off of possibility. First time was a 0% and seems as if tho because the court allowed the mother a second test it came back with same markers but a different interpretation and calculation based on a possibility of triple mutations

Is it possible that growth hormones and other substances could alter one’s dna 🧬 or eating smoking and drinking coffee before the swab like 10 mins before and a mouth wash and brush of teeth like literally 20-30 mins before and the child had eaten and drank the same amount before .
I have had multiple types of hormones in the past years that affect growth hormones and some may have stem cell therapy in them but I doubt that . The kid looks identical to my twin sister like scary but the dna came back negative by a mile . Is their any way this could be wrong ??? This was done in a clinic and sent off to a lab properly

eating and drinking will not affect the results, but will make the testing difficult. no eating, no drinking (except water) and no smoking at least half an hour before swab sample collection. If you have had a stem-cell transplant or a blood transfusion, it may make getting a result more difficult, please inform your lab, and follow the lab instructions.

Hello I’m trying to understand my results and I’m so confused 😕 my report looks nothing like this but it’s have DDC information on it, however my results are the exact opposite my results have the conclusion first, chart second(without a PI on it) is my results falsely reported? I really need help! It’s also a lot of matching “alleles” on the result but it says EXCLUDED and it’s only 18 alleles tested? Please read my comment and help if possible

Have you sent your samples to DDC directly? or did you do this test via a third party? you may contact DDC directly. I don't think DDC only tested 18 alleles.
