    Beautiful Bike 👍😎
I'm sure it was an easy sale for just $2,500...
    I have the 2008 Silverado V-Star...
I paid $2,500 for it back in 2017, a one owner bike.
It was stolen in July 2020...
I stumbled upon it yesterday morning at a shade tree mechanics shop just a mile away from my house. My registration was still in the tool bag in the tool compartment on the bike.
Of course, I also had the title in my hand when I went to get it yesterday afternoon.
It's in pretty bad shape, but repairable.
When I bought it, it was in jam up shape.
    And was running great...
There's much more to the story on how it got back to this area where I now live, at the time it was stolen, I was living in a city about 50 miles from here. The thief's had damaged it, then sold it for $300, with no paperwork of course. The guy who bought it had taken it to the mechanic, who is a long time friend of mine, for repairs. Crazy as all this sounds, what's even crazier is that about a month ago, at around 1 in the morning, I was out on my front porch when I heard a motorcycle down the ridge from my place, and all of a sudden a crash, then someone crying out for help. I went down in my truck and on the side of the road was a brand new Harley, a dead deer and the rider about 40 feet further down, in the middle of the road. I took him to his friends house, he refused me to call for medical help. I dropped him off, at the shop where I found the bike yesterday. Long story short, this guy is the one I just found out, had bought my bike...
You can't make this stuff up!
    Crazy!
    Anyway, I have it back...
It'll be back on the road again one day...
Just wanted to share this wild story...
Ride Safe, I'm sure you are enjoying your new ride ✌️

Wow that is mental!!! Well I'm glad you got your bike back after all that drama but sorry to hear it was so damaged :( Guess the buyer of the stolen bike got some karma on that one! My bike did sell very quickly (it's been several years) and the new owner was in LOVE with it! I ended up getting a Harley softail, then got Ducati Monster 1200 and last year went back to a Harley Road King :) I'll actually be riding this week, weather is finally getting better! Take care and ride safe!

Holy cow! I neeeeeeeeeeeeever see deals like this down here in the southern USA. A bone stock 650 custom brings near $3000 everywhere I look. I bet this sucker sold quick!!! lol GEORGOUS bike there.
I have owned both a Vstar 650 Silverado and a XLC1200 Harley. Liked the Vstar better.

Yeah it sold within a week or two :) Thanks, I'm glad you like the bike, I love owning it!

dang! The Silverado's all bring $3200+ around here even with 15k miles on them! (from dealerships) and like $2500+ from FSBO. I paid wayyyyyyyy too much for mine, but bought it back anyways because it was my first "big bike". Not one like mine, *MY* actual old bike. lol Silly, I know.

I just wanted to say absolutely Flawless Beauty Dude...👍
You should have not sold your Yamaha V 🌟 after so much time and 💰 invested much less for a Harley Dude...
These bikes are Bullet-Proof and will outlast a Harley "Service-Wise"...
Sorry, but had to share my thoughts on this Beauty 🙏

Hahah no worries and it was a great bike, but lacked the power I wanted on the highway. I don't even have the Harley anymore, I now own a 2019 Ducati Monster 1200 :)

When you put the hypercharge on it did you have to jet it too

    • @DanRichardFishing
      @DanRichardFishing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

It did have to be jetted but also because an exhaust change was done. Later on the exhaust was removed and the factory ones were put back on because of our good friends the police pulling us over 😂
I then noticed that it was running too rich and would leave a gas smell in the garage for quite a while after shutting it off so I had to adjust the jets again to a smaller size.

Nothing like a set of Double D straight pipes!! Main jets were enlarged and she still popped when downshifting. Lol.

Those came from J&P Motorcycles, I believe they are made by Kuryakyn. I'm not sure if they sell them anymore as they are around 6 years old now, but these are close: www.jpcycles.com/product/530-187/kuryakyn-large-iso-pegs-with-mounts-and-1-1-4-magnum-quick-clamps

Hey thanks bud, glad you like the bike. It sold last fall to a new rider and went right to winter storage, so hopefully he'll be enjoying it in a couple of weeks when we can start riding again here in Montreal if the weather cooperates.

This is a GREAT beginner bike but agreed, too small for most veteran riders. When I sold this bike, went to a Harley software with a 1450cc

Hola!
