Those tos would be illegal in germany source: im studying law. What they are saying is: the contract you have with us is legally binding for you but not for us 🤡. You cant do that. They are gambling on the future price fluctuations of the cards but theyre customers are holding all the risk. If this is legal ill become a card dealer😂
LCS shouldn’t do preorders , they should be in store only, they always sell all the product anyway, so it might as well go to the community instead of online scalpers
I had a similar experience here in Europe, and it wasn't just with Prismatic; other customers had issues as well. A well-known local game store canceled their customers' preorders, only to reopen them the next day at double the price. While allocation is one thing, greed is another. In my opinion, they are working hand in hand with scalpers. And yes, they lost customers over it.
Rule of thumb I live by, if a store is taking pre orders before they have even made their order on the product I will likely never return. It just screams greedy
Theyre not shady, its the distributors. My friend took 2500 ETB pre-orders, he then paid the distributor for 2500 ETBs, but just last week, they said that they can only give him 500ETBS and would refund him the difference
Happened to me with 151, pre-ordered the first possible day at multiple stores because I knew there would be shenanigans. All but one cancelled my pre-orders as we got closer to the official release date....so got lucky in the end but I would've been screwed if I didn't spread my pre-orders
Typical Logan Paul/Jake Paul type of bait and switch to give product to their friends/preorder buyers they know, and canceling the orders of first in line purchasers.
Its because the distributors fucked everyones allocation. For example my friend owns a small brick and mortar. He got 1000 pre-orders of surging sparks booster boxes. He got allocated 1,000 booster boxes and fulfilled all his pre-orders. However, prismatic evolutions he sold 2500 preorders, ordered from his distributor 2500 ETBs (plus another 100 for his store), and only got 500 ETBs. Paid and requested 2500 etbs, only got 500 ETBs. He cannot name drop this distributor OR insult it, or he will risk losing ALL future allocation.
As a smaller store we never take preorders before getting numbers. We buy from two major distros. One of them doesn’t even give us numbers until a week or 2 before release
The bad thing now is LCS and LGS are selling pre order products at whatever market prices are. Prismatic evolution ETBs are going to be a $55-$60 box and LCS and LGS are selling them for $85+. The LCS and LGS stores are scalping this product like crazy because of the demand.
This the one in st peters??? These dudes are clowns in person if it is Edit: went back and paused it. This is that store, and wow, not shocked. This same thing is practiced at stores throughout the area.
I'm so glad that it's illigal in Denmark to charge before sending an order. Which makes pre-orders "risk free" for the buyers and stores can't use pre-orders as a free loan.
It's Crazy! I own a store in Massachusetts, a few stores around me we were doing pre-orders because Distro said "Don't worry at least 30% of your order will be sent" I ordered 500 ETBS and got allocated 2 ETBS not cases 2 Single ETBs ....... I have been buying from distros since Scarlet BASE, I only do pre-orders when I get the final numbers its sad!
Southern hobby strait giving out “finalized” allocations then deleting them. Like we have a brick and mortar store and aren’t getting hardly any if any product at all….. distributors need to allocated all their accounts at least some reasonable amount. Can’t even sell preorders to help keep the lights on. Don’t get me started on distributors cutting allocations, then selling that product at OVER MSRP…
I work at House of Cars Virginia we sell diecast but recently we've gotten a distribution licenses for Pokemom, its been a slow build up of customer base but the few we have, we've honored pre-orders and posted are 100% accurate allocation even if it is limited. Hope this Community can be repaired. I'm really starting to enjoy myself in the groups!.
I saw where one shop a while back ago on Twitter where a shop cancelled the pre order and said they were going to give the customer back 85% of the money they used to preorder the product LOL
I agree. Less blame on customer. If you put up preorder and take their money. You are promising that product will be received. I understand that customer should know better but at the same time, if they are pre-existing customer. It means they trusted you to deliver on your promise.
I know some stores like to do pre-orders because they can use the money for the pre-orders instead of store funds/capital. Then they use the "profit" from the pre-orders to buy the trash sets, that don't sell, but the distributor wants them to buy so they can get a bigger allotment for the next release of the "Good" product.
Bro also check out the stores Google Reviews.. while he has a 4.7 rating every negative review he has been consistently canceling orders or just out right treating customers like trash.
Honestly if pokemon held distros to high standards they would worry about being canceled with them for actions like these. Pokemon knows this and allows this. They actually manipulate sellers to need to do shady stuff like this. Basically we should blame pokemon as well
Lots of stores that are canceling pre orders for the purpose of selling the product and a higher price will loose a lot of customers.. the market will be hot all of 2025 and most of 2026 but after that it could cool off
My local LCS was charging Shining Fates ETB for $100 during the first release. After I heard about that, I stopped going there. I was supporting him here and there. He has some charge about $10 to $20 more than MSRP. $10 I dont mind paying extra to help him out but double the price for ETB got me angry. Not supporting him anymore.
Ive gotten cancels for 2 Lost Origin , 2 Paldean Fates and Twilight Msqrde ETBs, all within the last week. Sellers are getting grimey as prices are going up. Just to make a few extra bucks!!
It’s not the demand, it’s scalpers making false scarcity, there’s enough for every single collector, child, and person who wants it, the only reason it’s hard to get is people trying to make money off it, slimy businesses/ scalpers etc
Distribution has been and is a MAJOR problem for well over half a decade. Pokemon needs to step in and initiate immediate change, or remove them out of the picture and setup their our distribution chain to retail stores and personal businesses (Game stores). I have been shocked for some time that Pokemon International hasn't fixed the distribution issue. It's exploitative on so many levels actively.
Some People are expecting to be able to buy cases and cases of this stuff from local shops like they got in the past sets when some will only have enough for MAYBE one day! Then those customers are getting mad or shocked that they can’t get cases and cases to try to master set this one.
The slimy distribution practices is unfortunately not exclusive to the pokemon market. Used to run my uncles liquor store and liquor distributors did the same thing with combos and limited allocations.
this is why i only preorder one from each gamestop around me all 7 are still looking good 👍 nb for only $5 each deposit and pay on full when they arrive every store should do this too
A few quick points. Yes I had ordered from them before. I was part of their discord server way before this. I was part of the Server when I first reached out to Brian. With the DMs not working, i went into the server, and I do now know exactly what I posted, as I cant see it. I was not rude or vulgar. At this point I was still hoping a mistake had been made, and could be rectified. It was probably along the lines of "hey I have questions, or would like to know why my order was just cancelled, and why it says I requested." maybe not exactly that, but along those lines. If anyone is in their sever, please screen shot what I posted, to let me know if it was rude or vulgar. My point later was that pokenerds was not cancelling orders based on when they were placed, but rather on the size of the order, even though there were no size limits posted, nor was that said as reason for cancelling, just "we are getting less than we thought." Which lead me to, THEN YOU CANCEL ORDERS YOU TOOK ON 11/21, not orders you took on 11/5. Right?
24:27 Rattle finally speaks truth. All distribution should be handled by the Pokemon company. Sadly at this point Pokemon could go single source with their stuff because it makes no difference how much volume is moving. I realize that isn't practical for stuff that sucks, or for build/battle products, and game playing, but there is way to much speculation in the market and Pokemon company is at a massive disadvantage when the most money being made ISN'T THEM!!! That is absurd.
I get it, it sucks to get an order canceled but with that kind of product its part of the game. At the end of the day, if the guy got refunded, he will 100% recover from this. I have never opened pack on release day and I'm not dead... I still haven't open a pack of Surging Sparks so please dont ask me to cry a river for a canceled and refunded order from a set that that is not even released.
You're a good guy for stating the case impartially. I personally take issue with the consumers behaviour here but you're correct in your assessment of the market.❤
@MegaEvoMartYT I think they overreacted. This is like ordering MacDonald's and when you get to the window they inform you they are actually out of something and have to refund you. I use MacDonald's to juxtapose how absurd it would be to make a TH-cam video over cancelled fries I paid for. So ultimately I wouldn't deal with a consumer like this. Even asking if they came sealed would put me off. Type of person that pokemon center had to put a disclaimer up saying items can get damaged in transit. Also I don't like being weaponized to tear down others when I wasn't involved.
Only thing I question is how they even got the pre order at $48 for each ETB x 10? Lowest ive seen is $69.99 and that was brief it’s all past $89.99. Doesn’t look legit to me.
Pokemon doesnt give a sheet. They dont care that their customers get the short end of the stick. People still buy their crap in the hundreds and thousands of dollars and that's all they care about. Greedy company.
$80 a ETB SMH, what is there so much FOMO on this set? My LGS got shafted as well, they are only allocated 4 ETBs and a booster box it's legitimately easier for them to order more 151 then it is the set.
if its a larger order like an entire case i understand. if i had a store and found out there wouldnt be as much product to sell i wouldnt feel bad cancelling the larger orders so i can fulfil the smaller orders of 1 or 2 etbs instead. make 500-1000 people happy instead of greedy people who need to buy entire cases of product.
No matter how large or small the order is it should be first in best dressed if your allocation was slashed, an honest store wouldn’t advertise and take people’s money for preordered cases of ETB’s if they intend to cancel their orders to fulfil smaller preorders, that’s shonky behaviour …if you want to make more customers happy then don’t offer cases for preorder and limit two ETB’s per customer
“I wouldn’t feel bad cancelling the larger orders so I can fulfil the smaller orders of 1 or 2 etbs instead” they’re your words not mine. Don’t take money for larger orders if want to fulfill smaller orders, if you’re offering the ability for someone to preorder large amounts then the onus is on you to deliver, you shouldn’t renege on that preorder and label them as “Greedy” …at the end of the day you’re the one who was quite happy to take their money when it suited you

Hot take but this is strictly business. I open up preorders to an item it's only ever going to be the amount I get allocated. If demand blows up and exceeds supply that immediately puts smaller players at risk of having their allocations cut for the bigger fish up stream. That's why it's currency. If Ben turned around and took funds from a friend to split the 10 etbs could the friend now call Rattle on Ben?
Putting up preorders when you don't have allocations is how you lose customers. People will just go find another store that doesn't cancel all of their orders and won't come back
This probably isn't the most popular opinion. That said, I couldn't care less that someone ordering that many cases.. glad they got canceled. It's like unless an adult collector has children, which I'm sure most don't they just spend their life flipping boxes. If everyday you want to buy 2 cases or whatever of the newest set, all for it. Leave some room for children who most likely will never touch most sets. When I was a kid going to thre Pokemon League every Sat. At books a million. 90% of the time they had loose packs of whatever you wanted. These packs were from base set and through the next few. A kid wants top unpack a charizard themselves, like all kids did back in the day. Now shelves are being emptied off anything anyone would want because there's adults literally waiting at stores on certain days for them to be shelved. Adults that thirsty for playing cards is just sad. Like it'll definitely be in your obituary, this person loved pokemon cards... smh If that's all there is to say about you. Maybe take all that money and actually help people in need rather than buying... cardboard. I love pokemon too but I certainly don't spend 500 on them im one shot like its normal.
I have not seen the video yet, but I am very surprised to hear criticism of Pokenerds. They shipped orders of Surging Sparks booster boxes when they took preorders for $95 per and had a market price of $160 or so. They are not a shady LGS. If they were shady they would have messed around with the surging sparks release. I bet there is more to this story.
Pokenerds is trash. I preordered Stellar Crown 2 months before release. One month after release date, I literally had to beg for my refund. Sad because I used to preorder a lot and lately, it’s been very shady. Careful everyone.😢
@rattlepokemon did you not see they are taking orders on the same product for $80. You were literally on their page looking at it. Some detective you are. 😂 how can it be an allocation issue if still selling it? Make that make sense. And you are blaming the customer saying he should have saw this coming. Wtf are you talking about?
I'm now on my 3rd year of waiting for The Pokemon Company to replace damaged cards. Have you got any experience with this? They completely ignore my replies on the request unless I make a new request and then they tell me it's going to take longer because I opened another request
Hi Rattle, Tap kicked me out of the discord you have for God knows what. Could you let me back in man? I didn't say anything that I thought was wrong, I have supported your channel for a while now man.
Bashing other people for not doing their own homework when creating their content, when you make a 30 minute video based off a single comment in your discord, without any input from the store is wild. I guess you hold yourself to a different standard and you don’t have to do the level of work you expect others to undertake.
I commented after watching the whole video you clown, learn how to tell the time…. Besides the point this guy just crashed a store’s reputation off the back of one persons experience, could have been a system glitch or some dumb shit like that. This video is a joke by his own articulated standards of YouTubing, but hey you go support your fearless and apparently infallible leader…
Funny how you’ll call out certain shops but Sakuras card shop is sitting on 15K boxes that were paid for in advance and no one has product yet since release
They cancelled his preorder because it was $48 a box and now they are selling for $80 a box
The dude who wanted 10 etbs is getting upset at another greedy dude. Makes perfect sense.

Pokenerds uses Self Destruct!
It’s super effective!
theyll be just fine
@ unfortunately you’re right, they’ll survive and do the exact same thing next set release. Crazy how many people fall for this
@chuckd.68 they used recover and ate an oran berry

Don't offer preorders of stuff and take money before you have your numbers. The end
@Taappppp this is why disclaimers are at the bottom of every flier ad nauseum. You're certainly not wrong. I just play it how it lays I guess.
Putting up preorders when you don't have allocations is how you lose customers. People will just go find another store that doesn't cancel all of their orders and won't come back
If it was an allocation issue, why would they still be taking pre-orders? It is a money grab. Would never order from them. Total clown show
This probably isn't the most popular opinion.
Rattle fan here!
Dang I thought these guys were okay, good to know 😅
These guys are a tiny store and probably had their allocation slashed. Not the first time this has happened. Its like the pandemmy all over again
Distros are the ones to blame here. They are the ones purposefully doign this and shame on pokemon to do business with them. Distros are pure cancer
i cant wait to get my 2 PC ETBs that I ordered from the Pokémon Center thanks to the Rattle Discord restock notifications 👀
Allocation for this set is bad from what I heard
Yeah I think it’s time to go back to football cards🤣 I Pokémon but not enough to pay these prices on what is essentially gambling.
Pokenerds is trash. I preordered Stellar Crown 2 months before release. One month after release date, I literally had to beg for my refund. Sad because I used to preorder a lot and lately, it’s been very shady. Careful everyone.😢
Ben in no way was in the wrong with this. Ordered too early? Really??
@rattlepokemon did you not see they are taking orders on the same product for $80. You were literally on their page looking at it. Some detective you are. 😂 how can it be an allocation issue if still selling it? Make that make sense. And you are blaming the customer saying he should have saw this coming. Wtf are you talking about?
Tell us more about butts
I'm now on my 3rd year of waiting for The Pokemon Company to replace damaged cards. Have you got any experience with this? They completely ignore my replies on the request unless I make a new request and then they tell me it's going to take longer because I opened another request
Is it just me, or does that message sound kinda sarcastic, hopefully they don't take it that way, I know you mean good.
❤
Terrible time for people to start a hobby collecting. Straight up scum all around. Can’t even jot anything anymore
I definitely won't ever be buying from this store again.
😂
well, he says in the first 90 seconds that hes just speaking his mind, his opinion, which is subjective.
Watch the video lmao.
No way you commented within 2 mins of a 30 minute video having an opinion
I commented after watching the whole video you clown, learn how to tell the time….
Besides the point this guy just crashed a store’s reputation off the back of one persons experience, could have been a system glitch or some dumb shit like that. This video is a joke by his own articulated standards of YouTubing, but hey you go support your fearless and apparently infallible leader…
Funny how you’ll call out certain shops but Sakuras card shop is sitting on 15K boxes that were paid for in advance and no one has product yet since release
But keep doing advertising for them pleb
Oh no what I’m gonna do my favorite pokemon is the mooooonbreon and now I can’t get it 😂😂😂😂😂😂
My stuff is out for delivery 😂😂😂😂
@@cognacyang9342 the fact you purchase from Sakura means your brain is way to small to have a conversation about it
