Why people would trust min wage, overworked GS employees with their pricey cards is beyond me. It's like asking your 15 year old nephew to parallel park your Lamborghini for you.
GS employees are NOT overworked JFC. They do not employ full time 90% of the time so they work around 20hrs a week and there is hardly any freight. Grocery store employees have WAY more to do and WAY more customers. Stop with the dramatics bc 3/4s of GS employees look like the Comic Book Shop guy from the Simpsons 😂
I get it but at the same time if you're a pro member price wise it makes a good bit of sense price wise. And don't they cover your card if it's "lost" or stolen or whatever? I thought the gamestop PSA thing was overall a pretty good deal?
As far as the missing $300K card/cards submission to GameStop goes I’d be willing to bet literally ANYTHING on the fact that it’s all BS. Anyone who has cards/a card of that value already knows about card grading, likely has already used a grading service or at bear minimum is aware of how to submit cards. weather it be PSA, SGC, BGS etc. There is no chance, NO CHANCE AT ALL ZERO POSSIBILITY that someone with a card or cards with a value of $300,000 or $200,000 or even $20,000 $30,000 is going to drop said cards off at GameStop it’s not realistic. This said card has the value potential higher value then the entire GameStop, inventory included. The story is fabricated we’ve seen no photos no receipts no validation whatsoever. It is not a true story. No way shape or form is this real. Does a man with $100,000 check go to the corner store bodega to cash it? Do you trade your $250,000 Bugatti into the used car lot down the road with five Toyota Corolla‘s in the parking lot. Does Elon Musk buy a cyber truck from a guy off Facebook marketplace? No none of that has EVER happened! And all of it sounds ridiculous as does someone submitting over a quarter of $1 million worth of cards to a game store like GameStop it’s just not reality you don’t build a collection or get your hands on a card of that value being a complete moron! You are not gonna convince me otherwise hopefully some of you can pull your heads out of your A55 and realize this!
On top of that the declared value of your cards and submitting through GameStop tops out at $200 for a bulk submission so again you’re telling me that a person with a $300,000 card is going to declare its value at $200 so that it can be submitted through GameStop so when things go wrong and insurance takes care of it he gets back a whopping $200 please convince me I’m wrong! ! Someone do me a favor and go to the PSA website and see what it cost to submit a card of that value. It is in the tens of thousands of dollars if I’m not mistaken to submit a card of that value. I may be mistaken on that but it damn sure is not $15.
Right! And then take a tour and spend extra to get it turned around super fast and get a hotel and take vacation go have fun in Santa Anna and wait and pick it by hand too lol.
@@osirisx2295 so question to both of you. ive been to my store and they confirmed that my cards were sent out. but every time i look at the submission details on gamestop it says no order found. my guess is im not gonna know shit till i get a call that they are back what yall think and have you had a similar experience?
I did the gamestop psa submission 20 cards. I got the $200 card Insurance even though two cards could be worth $500 when graded, but I took the risk. I kept an eye on the progress the bar never moved from being at the store. I was starting to worry. I figure id wait till the 45 day mark. then at day 26 I got an email from psa saying my cards were back, and 10 minutes later I got a call from gamestop. The progression tracker doesnt work which creates anxiety.
I was in a GameStop recently and they said they had people pay for the service but they hadn’t sent them off yet. I did not inquire why not as maybe I should have. But next time I go in I’m gonna ask why they wait. As money bear said above, it’s probably to get better rates for bulk.
I have two cards currently at GameStop. They have been there for over two months and I haven’t received an email that they were sent out to PSA, I’m stopping in tomorrow to see what’s going on.
I got my cards back and they went out within a couple of days I sent it in honestly might go through them again the girl working at GameStop knew exactly what she was doing and I appreciate her for that ❤
I’ve had many issues with game stop online orders and knew this was going to be a mess. Their warehousing and distribution does not seem very secure or competent to be handling grading cards
Agree with almost every point you made on grading. At this point I’ll only grade a card that I really enjoy and just want to get slabbed even if I know it will get low grade. I just don’t trust them, even PSA.
I absolutely hate the fact that you can not get in contact with real people when trying to contact bigger companies. Like, I feel Pokémon should have a place you can actually contact about problems, etc. Most bigger companies are all automated or digital, and that's stupid asf. Bring back actual people to contact to solve issues.. it would also combat a lot of scalping, etc, if people could call up pokemon and order a limited amount of boxes per household every release. Then leave the rest up to the stores and card shops. Once release day is over, you must hit up a store or shop to find that set if you want more
Honestly dude this feels just super slanderous. You’re talking to a random employee at a random store that’s quite literally speculating and portraying it as truth. This isn’t reporting this is just click bait. Maybe follow up on the initial accusation of the theft? It seems rational to put a hold on all subs in and out if you have a missing card issue… we all know this is a new system and with the way corporations work in general I’m not surprised they haven’t figured out a protocol for what to do when someone wants their ungraded cards back… itll all get fixed in the long run but most of these people complaining don’t seem to have even let the 45 business days run their course they’re just being impatient and you’re feeding into it. Your biased coverage of this when it’s otherwise been a great service to a huge amount of people is ridiculous. The truth is most people got their cards graded and returned to them in record time, but the headline of “GameStop makes grading a reality for thousands with minor hiccups” isn’t going to get you many clicks.
