How were you able to turn ignition back on without turning engine on my start stop button won’t let ignition turn on unless I put my foot on the break and actual engine turns on
Mine is one of those prehistoric trucks with a key. I think if you hold the accelerator to the floor it will stop it from getting fuel and it won't start. Search 'clear flood mode' for your vehicle.
Bummer that it's your pump. There are some decent videos on how to do it yourself so I didn't bother making one. There is a link in the video description of my video on the pump I bought. Really no special tools needed other than a crowsfoot for the fuel line and a torque wrench. Worst part is leaning over into the engine compartment to reach everything.
i drive SRX 2012 , I have only p175 code for 2 years and it drives me crazy ..in the morning when i face delay startup , the accelaration is week , i can feel that the car is not powerful when i am on the highway ... my mechanics checked oxygen sensors via live data , and everything is ok , replaced the pump , maf sensor is ok , replaced the PCM ,... any advise please
@@HouseDoctorRay thanks for the reply , coil also changed recently .. you mean spark plug ? If yes , can we check it or check the injector via live stream ?
Change your oil and recheck immediately after. If it goes back to normal it's either an injector leaking or your high pressure fuel pump dumping fuel into the crankcase.
@@HouseDoctorRay after I just got done replacing all my fuel injectors I started getting these codes. My STFT reads at -4 to 0 at idle but my LTFT reads -35. So hopefully I can figure this out. My oil level did go up and my fuel pressure gauge only rise when I shut the truck off and turn the key to the on position. Same with my fuel pressure on the rail. It rises up too. So i know it’s not leaking from the injectors.
If you change your oil and your LTFT go back to normal then you're probably getting gas in the crankcase from the high pressure fuel pump. There are some good videos on how to change it. The only problem I ran into is I broke the bypass tube on my thermostat housing when I pulled the intake out.
I drive a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 4 wheel drive 5.3 engine. is not a diesetruck my ltft bank 1 is -16 stft bank 1 is 3)ltft bank 2 is -19 an stft bank 2 is 2 map, maf,an throttle is ok what else could it be
Sounds like your high pressure fuel pump. Change the oil and take the readings immediately after. If they're closer to normal then you have gas getting in your oil. Sometimes the pumps leak so bad you can smell it on the dipstick.
I had the high fuel pressure pump installed in a mechanic shop about 2 years ago yes I will have to check it my self do you have a video on how to check the high pressure fuel pump
That's basically what this video is about. Just go through the steps in the video. If it's not your PVC, EVAP, or injectors it's got to be the high pressure pump letting gas into the oil. Another long shot is the oil return ports not letting the oil drain back fast enough. Usually not an issue and you would probably have smoke coming out of the tailpipe and other symptoms.
Wow this was the best explained video thank you so much man years with my scanner to still learning how to use it’s capabilities
Glad you found it helpful.
Very good instruction on isolating each system that could cause the condition.
Thank you. This means a lot to me coming from you.

Looks like you have to hold down the start button for about 5 seconds without stepping on the brake. Post back if that works so others will know.
@@HouseDoctorRayokay, yes you are correct hold down for 5 seconds… looks like it’s my high pressure fuel pump

If it's only one side, leaking injector, bad plug, coil, wire come to mind.

Hey I tried each of these steps and my long term stays at -30
Is there anything else to check

Awesome video brother. Thank you so much
Thanks. Hopefully you won't need a high pressure fuel pump like I did.
