On my 2018 there is no vent tube going up to the filler, the filter is built into the vent solenoid, I believe that version will work on any of the older one's.
So I have a 2014 sierra, it looks identical to this and I’ve changed everything on the evap system but this because all the ones I got were different than the original. To will use the bigger one if it works then. My only question is on mine I have that filter coming right out the other end but I also have a hose that runs to the filler neck like on that truck, how should I go about that
I got a 08 silverado The problem is that hose that had tape on it suddenly was dragging I have searched for where it should connect and have not found any place Where does it normally conect too?
Great video. I have to do this to my truck. Do I have to put that filter on by the gas cap? Can I install it right off the top of the solenoid? I do have a hose coming down like the one on the video. And I do have to drive dirt roads. Thanks for the video. Subscribing
You don’t have to install it up there by the gas cap. I really think they put it there to keep water from getting into it. Just make sure to blow it out periodically with compressed air and you’ll be just fine.
Great video man. Calm & right to the point. I dig it.
Appreciate it!
