Netflix in terms of quality has far superior content then any other streaming app. Even exclusive movies like Mank, Irishman, Extraction etc are highly entertaining coming from some of the finest filmmakers.

Mank was fine (Not Fincher's best), The Irishman was arguably Scorcese's worst film, Extraction had a mindless script. As 'good' as Netflix is, HBO Max is still the single greatest streaming service in terms of quality of content.
Netflix movies are still worse. They should catet to that. They can start their own original content universe or pick a universe that hasn’t been adapted by anyone yet

Well i guess, Netflix can compete the HBO and Disney in two ways, ONE - by penetrating into the countries with creating local good contents all around the world (like prime is doing on mirzapur/family man), and this content will be specific to specific countries to counter HBO. TWO- Get some collaborations with the Anime world or to create its own anime (as it has wide spectators) to counter Disney. Agree?

Netflix won't turn out any justifiable profit in the coming years if it doesn't create it's own franchise, like MCU or DC or James bond etc.
I mean netflix originals are good, but what you really need to get the customers hooked on to, is a great franchise.
Disney buying marvel back in 2009 was a stroke of genius. Many criticized Disney's decision for doing so, but fast forward 10 years later in 2019, and endgame is the top earning movie at the box office in history. Period.

Such an excellent analysis.... one of the serious problem that all OTT platforms will face is the piracy.. whether Netflix or Prime video... they'll have to deal with that too...and the messaging services like telegram are also in this,.... Netflix specifically will suffer more because of this since subscription is their only income source... while others can survive from other sources of revenue...

Very good case study comparing the past and present situations of Netflix.Also in the threats for Netflix you could've spoken about livestreaming of sports which is the selling point for Hotstar.

2:24-Netflix was subscription based DVD email service
3:24-BlockBuster too launched their DVD Emailing Service
5:00-Netflix did their threat Analysis and found BlockBuster had better logistics setup and they found their hidden competitor (Walmart)
5:45-Walmart was using Loss Leader Pricing model: It Is the strategy of selling low cost low margin product at a low/less price to bait/expose customers to buy high cost high margin products. So Walmart Was renting DVD's at very cheap price so it can lure customers for buying other high quality products from Walmart
The best thing is they can found an investor who is willing to hive them the money to produce movies and series or another option is sponsors like many countries want to show their places to the world this will give them rent free space and they just want to show a good content and the same with the brands ❤️👍🏻
