As a Turkish exporter I can say that Turkey is a huge potential for EU and even whole world as its at the center and amazingly flexiable and reliable but customers should know what they want very well and work with educated people as much as possible. Sometimes prices slightly can be higher than asia but fast production flexiablity, shipment time and low advance payments can save a lot for importers. After few years you cannot catch this opportunities as Turkey getting popular as a manufactiring country.

Factories in Turkey may be close to factories in Europe for workers in terms of quality standards, but there are 2 big problems. Firstly, their counterparts in Europe have shorter daily working hours. Secondly, the money they earn is not enough to maintain their daily lives because they receive very low salaries. If you are looking for versions with the same standards and quality in smaller scales from high quality factories in Europe, Turkey is the ideal place. Because the business and trade laws in Turkey are compatible with EU laws and Turkey is one of the "customs union" member countries in the European Union, you can take tariff advantages if you are a member of the European Union by making agreements. In addition, Turkey is geographically a neighbor of Europe and logistics can be provided much cheaper. If you have a company that has an investment in a European country and you want to expand your business while maintaining its standards, Turkey is also a suitable place to invest. Maybe you can establish cheaper production factories in Asian countries, but it takes a lot of time to catch up with the production standards you made in Europe in India and you have to invest in large scales. In Turkey, if you want to increase your production capacity by 10%, you can establish a facility in accordance with European Union standards in a very short time. You can adapt it to your working model to workers, factories and managers in a short time. Turkey also has many succesfull subcontracted companies, so instead of establishing your own factory, you can increase your production capacity by making contracts with these companies.

Love this video and Turkey is proving very interesting as a supplier of goods. It's not as far and goods can be sent via road as opposed to seafreight.
Also, I totally agree with meeting suppliers face to face. Going to China really opened up doors that were previously closed because suppliers took you seriously. We negotiated better pricing and exclusivity agreements and of course could carry out vendor assessments at their factories.

Hi James, I just stumbleD upon your channel, I thought I would share a couple of bits of info. I lived in Essex for nearly 50 years, regular trips to Southend obviously. I had no idea Rossi served hot food, I always thought it was 'just an ice cream place'. It's been a while since I have been past the place to be honest... I hope you are screaming ''We are a restaurant' outside the place now :-).
    Secondly.
I spent years working in the zoo industry, including the now closed small park in South Woodham. They relied on volunteers. I suggest you create a volunteer co-ordinator position for your parks. Good volunteers will save you a fortune on your wage bill.
    Best regards Marc :-)

    Hi James.
I am trying to get the calculation about cutting the costs of the ice cream pots from 35p in UK to 8.5p in turkey, as in Turkey it requires regular travel costs for visits (yourself as seen on video and the film maker and probably another staff member as well), plus shipping cost and other bits and pieces etc where in UK you don’t have those expenses.
Unless, the 8.5p per pot includes already all the side cost’s mentioned above, which is also unlikely as if yes the price per cup would be for free.
I might be wrong with my calculations and I really want to understand it.

Great video Mr James, thank you for your efforts. It is also a perfect opportunity to consider Turkiye as an alternative if you are searching for new producers worldwide. As a seasoned exporter and sourcing agent, we have been supplying various kinds of goods to international clients for some time now. General consensus from the clients are, yes Turkiye is a bit high priced but, the import taxes compared to far east, fast delivery times and flexible terms obviously gives more advantages. You should at least try to get in touch with a couple companies of your product range and try to evaluate their offerings. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I'm looking specifically for a business coach to help grow my online business, doing just under £1m in sales, but looking to take it past that figure. Think your Business Masterclass will help, or should I look for an eCommerce Business Coach?

I’m not a coach, so I couldn’t help there, business Masterclass is a 2 day seminar; it’s also only a few hundred pounds.
