    Hi Tony. Loving the videos. Can I ask what you sprinkled on the beds after planting? Assuming either feed or slug repellent?

    I gave the slugs and butterflies some sacrificial cabbage, but I think they invited their mates round too this year.....

    Hi Tony on next video could you give us an update on your sweetcorn I'm tempted to try some outside next year I grow mine in my 12ft polytunnel but they take up so much room Thanks

  • @grammadog1947

    Tony, ( I'm late to the party as usual) what were the blue hoops you used for the covered bed? Would they work for a small poly tunnel? What planting zone are you in? I'm zone 4 and want to squeeze in some quick growers before winter howls in. (Sorry about the 20 questions) Take care of yourself!

    • @TonyCSmith
      @TonyCSmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used it as 3inch with my old polytunnel. It worked great though not sure the size I used for netting would make a polytunnel. Though if it was same size as my netting beds then yes👍

    cabbage white are the bane of my life. I am covering everything. as well as using neem oil. my thinking is the ojl must get washed of in the rain.

    Hi Tony, a question please. Do slugs come out in winter. I want to plant and cover my winter greens with fleece. Do I risk slugs? They have been decimating my vegetable bed so far

    Hi Tony
    May I ask where you get your netting from please. I bought some from eBay and came from China ( not very gd ) some from Gardening Naturally which was amazing quality but a bit pricey.

    • @TonyCSmith
      @TonyCSmith  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They’ll be ready at different times - sprouting broccoli next spring along with cabbage but the likes of calabrese hopefully end of Autumn

    Disappearing carrots doesn't look good! Your beds look good, just wondering if I can mod the covers for my plot, really haven't decided how it's going to be going moving forward, I'm just going to concentrate on getting the other part cleared and dug ready for the next season at least - that's my plan anyway!

    Slug pellets on the carrots Tony, just a couple per pot, and a couple of mousetraps around the place too. You will soon know if it is mice, they will be in the traps, if it is slugs the pellets will start disappearing, then replace them, the pellets that is...not the slugs!...Steve...😁
