I used to bring leftover meeting food to ravers waiting in lines. I knew that some of these kids had saved their $$ for a ticket and party favors and probably were going to party hungry. While I couldn't effectively coach them to not abuse drugs, I could feed them. Then they wouldn't crash and need help. I brought ~12 pizzas once and 2 grocery sacks of muffins b/c a seminar had leftovers and I snagged em. They were all good kids and gave me their trash and didn't leave a mess.

I'm now 56 and I kid you not, not one day goes by without my mind contemplating the good ole days of acid house way back in 87'. Must have had 30 hours a week sleep back then because I was partying, pirate radio and djing like it was going outta fashion ffs lol. The best time of my life ever. Nothing has come close since and nothing ever will as far as I'm concerned. There's two, only two factors of life that can make you happy.. Music and love. Without these you already dead. Now lemme squeeze you with an oldie that'll take you right back to my time.. Rhythim is Rhythim - It is What it is.. Transmat records 1988 see u on the dancefloor people 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶

I just wanna say, I'm 21 and I've danced at all sort of modern legal "raves" that just dont seem to beat the authenticity of this, illegal ones in London just get shut down straight away. I just wanna say if you were lucky enough to attend these be thankful! Nowadays everyone just drinks alchohol to numb the pain, everyone cares so much what people think and appearance is everything, people dont dance to let go anymore. We need to free the people and go back to these raves.

The government acted on pressure from the breweries to limit the popularity of acid house especially the free/ illegal stuff. No one was drinking much early on in the scene and the breweries who had previously had a near monopoly on lower class pleasure seeking were starting to notice the lack of money at the bar. Beer took the edge off, water was all you needed.
It was only when we got pushed back into the clubs and bars thanks to the "you're not free to party act" that you started to see more people on e and a skin full of beer. Me included.

I can say without a doubt that DMT's formula was given to us by the Annunaki to the Egyptians. The book of Thoth is that formula (DMT), the Egyptian buildings and the peculiar way they painted them is an obvious sign that they had DMT's formula and had been using it for a long time to keep the connection between the Kings who ruled Egypt and the "Gods" (or creators) for guidance and for our own personal limitless evolution. The Annunaki came to earth to save their planet and in the process of ensuring their survival we were created. They decided to give us their Genetic Information, technology, structures and sacred teachings so that we become our best versions and reach a "Higher Awareness State" just like them so that we can aid them with their planet (Nibiru) and serve our purpose here on earth. They had their personal reasons for creating us but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be grateful.
I personally think that everyone should take DMT and Ayahuasca before they die, but always have in mind that what you are going to go through will only last 15 minutes on DMT and a lot more time on Ayahuasca, DMT opens a world of visuals and sounds that we've never seen or heard before and that we never would have thought they were even possible. Sounds may come in forms and forms may come in sounds. DMT is related to The Book Of Thoth. The Egyptians called the Pineal Gland "The 3rd Eye" and the 3rd Eye "The Seat Of The Soul" we can only access the Book of Thoth in the Astral world, we access the Astral world through Laser focused meditation and we receive guidance through synchronicity, emotions, voices and visuals once we are in the "Astral", this is because our Pineal Gland produces DMT naturally and the DMT amount we produce increases drastically giving us the ability to "Perceive" much more than the physical realm when we meditate. When you do DMT it doesn't matter if you don't know how to meditate because DMT guides you to the meditative state even if you are trying to avoid it by not paying attention .The smoked DMT takes approx 10 seconds to kick in and when it does you enter a trance state so powerful that whatever image you have in front of you disappears and you are suddenly transported to another "Dimension" where you will understand this Ancient Knowledge. The interesting thing about DMT is that the "Trip" is not always the same, there are endless trip possibilities and there is no limit to what you can perceive, the more DMT smoke you hold in for a long time (10 secs) will determine how strong your trip is going to be.
I knew about DMT and Psychedelics long before I tried them, but I always thought that it was impossible to connect with beings that are from a reality different than ours until I tried DMT for the first time.
Just keep in mind that what we perceive in meditation is a lot of DMT being released naturally from your pineal gland, when we smoke DMT those effects are increased on a ridiculous level giving you access to your "6th Sense".
No one has ever died consuming DMT and just like cannabis DMT doesn't have any "cancerous cell activation" risks.
Smoking DMT is said to be the most extreme experience a human being can go through so be warned and proceed with caution.
Peace, Love and Abundance for the readers🍄

I remember straight out of Uni and starting out at the Daily Telegraph in London around "88 on the career circuit and noticing this cockney lad delivering the mail around the office at South Quay with his late Beatles mop top and baggy clothes. Curious, I asked him what he was into and he was telling me about these raves and how you had to go to motorway service stations to find out about them ...sooner than you could say "popper" I was out on "walkabout" each weekend. Then around 89/90 I was sitting spaced out in my office chair and saw him pushing his internal mail cart (this was all before internet), hair trimmed nicely and looking smart as an arse. "What happened?" I asked him. "The scene got to big , too many normal's on it now, I cant be bothered:" he said. Coolest fella I ever met.

Went to my first illegal Rave in 1987 and it was a magical period; almost seemed as if a new genre of music was being invented every week. I remain in touch with many of the friends I made during that time and whilst the E was a social lubricant, the empathy and kindness inherent to people back then coupled with the amazing music was the true driver of it. Also, no social media back then either. FB/Instagram etc. has ushered in a wariness to personal behaviour that simply didn't exist in those days. Good times, high times...and I don't regret a single moment of it. I am 54 in July. And if you're young then get the party started once we're over this appalling pandemic - we're relying on you all! :)

I’ll maintain this view for the rest of my life I lived for party drugs as soon as it was possible but that great feeling when you just dance and dance without giving a fuck bout what people think that amazing feeling I also had in the junior discos with my mates dancing till we were soaking with sweat to bad manners and Dexys all of us hugging each other haaa we were 10 I guess the pills just allowed that same thing really

I just turned 50 and I caught the end of real MDMA in 88-89. I was a competitive gymnast and had no interest in drugs. However, my best friend talked me into trying ecstasy. I could go on all day about how incredible that first time was and all the times later throughout 1989. It wasn’t all good though. While you really couldn’t get addicted to it like other drugs it still jacked up your body. I lost a ton of weight over the summer of 89 and at the end of it I’d had enough. That said, some of those nights taking it with a bunch of friends, doing stupid shit because EVERYTHING felt amazing and everyone was in the best moods of their life and best friends lol was something I don’t regret. Add to that the music and the clubs playing crazy awesome acid house bands like Lords of Acid or DJ’s making it up live at Club A in Dallas. I’ve thought about it over the years but know it would never feel the same. Even if it was the exact same real MDMA. At 17-18 I had no real responsibilities and I had no concern about fixing whatever problems taking EX brought about. Ex can’t overcome 30 years of living. Lastly I’ll say that while I don’t regret taking it, it would have been better if I hadn’t.

Dave Cook you can't tell anyone about it and have them understand. It's more than just the music it's that place in time and space where the music escalates to that high point and you look over to your friends and see the joy glaring back at you and for that moment the emotion is so great you feel that your brain can't take it. You can't ever describe that to anyone who wasn't there.

I never did the "illegal raves" i was born in '82 so maybe 7ish years too young! I did catch the tail end with the hard house/trance clubs in '99 with Gods Kitchen, Crasher, Insomniacs, Passion and my hometowns club (progress in Derby) good times. Only problem is I did that many pills I have suffered with severe mental health problems from the early 00's to this day!

Точно, говорят об эйсиде, называют это рейвом, а звучит хаус-попса. Давно это подметил, слишком много пафоса и внимания к "эйсид хаусу" 80-х, когда настоящий рейв пошел уже в 90-х с появлением техно.

I was too young to be in this scene, but it was definitely a bit of me, the part that staggers me though is that these massive parties were arranged without mobile phones, without the internet, without any social media, just kids that really wanted to party. I dont see any sign of that with kids now

    • @puggilove

And theres too much concern for appearance now, too much self consciousness and narcissism. Ppl were too fucked to carry a phone - everything got wet, clothes, shoes, cigarettes! I used to rinse my shirt in cold water in the toilets and put it back on. All my friends did the same, no makeup, wet hair, it was fucking awesome. Sadly I dont have a single photo of those times - photos were taken at xmas, weddings birthdays, ppl didn't walk about taking photos lol🤣😂
