      Lol 😂 it happens almost everytime I go out. What’s really bad is when I pick up the same stone from the same location but different days 🤦‍♂️🤣

    What sources do u use to I'd your finds?

    • @RockHoundingAdventures
      @RockHoundingAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I normally I go off of what I’ve seen or read about. If I’m unsure I’ll test the hardness, look it up online (color, hardness, location), local Facebook rock hound groups, ask friends that also hunt near by or contact local rock shops. There has been a couple of times I’ve mis labeled something and I was corrected. Sometimes the TH-cam rock hound community helps. As well I’m new to the state so I’m always learning. If you need help with identifying send me a email and I will do my best to help. 😊🤘🤙

    U ever find any arrowheads on those rock bars?

    • @RockHoundingAdventures
      @RockHoundingAdventures  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I have, I wish... there is a couple spots I want to try more west in Colorado closer to Utah border but need to wait till summer. I used to find them all the time on the Colorado River back in Central Texas growing up.

    rocks that I find more than once are kept...simply because if I pick it up out of interest and recognize that I have already picked it up I've liked it twice! Also i hunt the seashore so if after many tides I'm lucky to find it twice...I take it home. Luv epidote I find it on the beach all the time sometimes with druzy vugs.
